Chapter 20
“When did you buy this…” Xu Zhou blushed as he handed the item back to him.
Shen Yan brushed the stray hair from his forehead, kissed him, a hint of a smile in his eyes.
“Why are you giving it back to me?”
“Did you want me to use it?”
Shen Yan leaned close to his ear, voice low:
“I want you to wear it for me…”
Xu Zhou shut his eyes, pretending to ignore him.
Shen Yan tore open the packaging, glancing at the tightly shut eyes of the man in front of him, and couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Zhouzhou…”
“Wife?”
Xu Zhou could no longer keep up the act. He opened his eyes, looked at him, and was about to speak—but a burning kiss landed on his lips, silencing his words.
Ten minutes later, after Shen Yan had kissed him enough, he let him go and prepared to settle their previous score.
Seeing him suddenly stop, Xu Zhou’s hazy eyes narrowed slightly, looking a little confused.
“I got jealous.”
“Huh?”
“Someone else confessed to you…”
Xu Zhou was completely puzzled.
“KTV…” Shen Yan reminded him.
Just the thought of someone else showing interest in his wife made Shen Yan furious. He should have gone along after all.
In Xu Zhou’s mind, the scene at the KTV played over in a blur.
He and Shao Guangming’s group had been drinking, and suddenly Chu Xuanxuan, flushed in the face, had appeared in front of him while the others egged them on…
But he had been slightly drunk and only focused on finding the bathroom…
Xu Zhou lifted his head, kissed Shen Yan’s cheek, and said seriously: “I won’t agree to anyone else…”
Shen Yan tilted his head, biting Xu Zhou’s lip. Thinking of the conversations he’d overheard at the KTV, he felt increasingly annoyed.
“You didn’t refuse.”
Xu Zhou’s mind went blank.
He was sure he hadn’t said anything at the time.
“She didn’t confess…”
“You didn’t refuse,” Shen Yan repeated.
“Don’t be unreasonable…”
Shen Yan undid the buttons of his shirt, pressing another kiss against him.
Xu Zhou’s eyes flickered, a sense of foreboding washing over him.
Shen Yan lifted him up, first stripping his own clothes, then Xu Zhou’s…
Before placing him across his lap…
Xu Zhou shivered all over, wrapping his hands around Shen Yan’s waist.
“I… tomorrow… afternoon… I have very important things… to…”
His voice fragmented.
Shen Yan held him closer, desire unrestrained in his eyes.
“Baby, what we’re doing now is more important…”
The alcohol he had drunk earlier seemed to surge back, and Xu Zhou lightly pushed against his chest.
Shen Yan grabbed his hands and shifted their position.
Xu Zhou buried his head in the pillow.
“…I’m… tired…”
“…Hm?”
“I’m tired…”
…
At four in the morning,
Shen Yan turned off the lights, held him close, and kissed him.
They closed their eyes and slept.
When Xu Zhou woke up, it was already eleven.
Shen Yan was gone.
Xu Zhou reached for the phone on the nightstand, but as he moved even slightly, his sore body resisted. His arms felt like they couldn’t lift.
He gritted his teeth in frustration.
He checked the phone, replied to Lu Feng’s messages, and then saw a missed call and a text from Xu Wensong ten minutes earlier, reminding him not to forget today’s lunch meeting.
He let out a cold snort, turned off the phone, and trudged to the bathroom.
Originally planning a shower, he caught sight of himself in the mirror: neck, chest, arms… all marked with traces of someone else. He couldn’t help but grit his teeth.
So Shen Yan had been holding back before—now just a few days in, his true nature was revealed!
Last night, he had gone through an entire box of toys…
And had tempted him in every possible way…
It was torturous…
After washing up, he came out of the bathroom to find Shen Yan had returned, carrying a box of snacks to the table.
Seeing Shen Yan in a good mood, looking refreshed, Xu Zhou couldn’t help but hum in response.
“Zhouzhou, come eat.” Shen Yan smiled, lips curling slightly.
“Oh…”
Seeing Xu Zhou trying to ignore him, Shen Yan walked behind him, wrapping him in his arms, voice soft. “What’s wrong?”
Xu Zhou could only stare in silence.
“What do you think?”
Shen Yan inhaled gently at his neck—freshly bathed, his wife smelled so good.
“Sorry, I was wrong.”
Deciding to pamper him properly, Shen Yan carried him to the dining table, placing him on his lap, hand still resting on his waist.
“Let go of my hands first, I’ll sit next to you to eat…”
Shen Yan looked at him with mock reluctance.
Fine, whatever…
Feeling the growing warmth beneath him, Xu Zhou nearly went silent. “Can you…?”
Shen Yan stared at him, eyes deep. “Zhouzhou, can we eat later…?”
Xu Zhou widened his eyes. “I won’t—”
The next second, his breath was stolen away. Shen Yan lifted him, repositioned him with his legs dangling on either side.
Then came the sound of a zipper…
Half an hour later…
Xu Zhou rested on Shen Yan’s shoulder…
They held each other for a few quiet minutes.
Xu Zhou pried apart his arms, shakily stood, and sat on a nearby chair.
He didn’t want to say a word.
He seriously suspected this man had no limits…
He decided to keep his distance from Shen Yan.
…
After dinner, Xu Zhou deliberately changed into a turtleneck.
By the time they were ready to leave, it was almost one o’clock.
Seeing Shen Yan grab his coat too, Xu Zhou asked:
“You’re going out too?”
“Mm, to see you off, and attend a dinner meeting.”
Makes sense. For someone like Shen Yan, being busy was normal.
In the car, he took a call from Lu Feng, who sounded shocked as he complained.
“Remember Song Hefeng? The small artist under my dad’s company I told you about?”
“Vaguely…”
“He tried to latch onto a wealthy sponsor, failed, and the video got posted online. Then guess what?”
“What?” Xu Zhou was genuinely curious.
“He actually came to our company begging me for help, even asked me to plead with my dad for him. I refused, but then he kneeled right there… in front of dozens of employees…”
Xu Zhou clicked his tongue.
“Typical trained actor.”
Lu Feng sighed. “I could only bring him to the office. He knelt and cried for ages, then tried to seduce me—disgusting even a dog wouldn’t want him…”
Xu Zhou was used to his friend’s sharp tongue.
“You better not let him trick you.”
“How could someone as smart as me get tricked? Don’t worry, he stayed in the office less than twenty minutes. We didn’t do anything, not even touch his clothes.”
They chatted casually for a bit longer.
After the call ended, Shen Yan, driving, glanced at him.
“Having so much fun?” He’d never seen him so animated during a chat.
“It’s more fun gossiping about other people.”
When Xu Zhou had free time, he liked to check celebrity news online.
Today, one star cheated; tomorrow, another abused their spouse—he was like a raccoon in a melon patch, devouring gossip with great interest.
