When the Princess Consort Kidnaps a Prince to Farm Chapter 2

Chapter 2: The Golden Finger Reappears

Lin Qing couldn’t help but lament her misfortune. Others who transmigrated either became queens or, at the very least, wealthy aristocrats. Yet, here she was, with nothing but a title to her name. Glancing at the man still lying unconscious beside her, Lin Qing decided she didn’t want trouble. Better to leave quickly than risk getting entangled.

Dragging her sore body out of bed, her legs trembling uncontrollably, Lin Qing caught sight of her reflection in the mirror. Her body was covered in bruises, especially on her wrists and inner thighs. The sight made her furious.

She shot a glare at the man on the bed. “Was it your first time seeing a woman or what?” she muttered under her breath, hastily gathering her torn clothes from the ground. Unfortunately, her clothing was so shredded it was no longer wearable, and even the man’s clothes were in tatters. After searching the room, she found nothing to cover herself with.

Anxious and angry, Lin Qing whispered, “If only I still had my space… everything I need is in there—clothes, food, weapons.” Desperate, she called out in her heart, “Space! Space, let me in!”

Suddenly, a wave of dizziness overtook her. When she opened her eyes, she was inside her space.

Before her stood a magnificent villa, a fully equipped laboratory, a weapons cache, a helicopter, a tank, and endless fields of golden wheat. Lin Qing couldn’t help but burst into laughter, hands on her hips. “Not bad! Dying was worth it! No more missions, plenty of supplies, and even the chance to farm. This is the life I’ve always wanted!”

She quickly picked out an outfit resembling Song Dynasty clothing from her wardrobe—an essential disguise from her previous missions. Dressed appropriately, Lin Qing exited the space and climbed out of the window, landing softly outside.

Once outside, she realized this was a relay station surrounded by mountains. The sky was just beginning to brighten. Relying on the original owner’s memories, Lin Qing made her way toward the estate where she and her younger brother lived.

Since she had taken over this body, she owed it to the original owner to protect her brother, avenge her wrongs, and settle her grudges.

As she walked, Lin Qing thought about her weak new body. In her past life, she had been groomed as a leader—skilled in martial arts, medicine, poisons, and various modern techniques. Compared to her old self, this current body was laughably fragile. She decided she would start training it immediately.

Meanwhile, back at the relay station, the man on the bed finally stirred as the sunlight streamed in. Slowly opening his eyes, he sat up, his chest and arms bearing vivid red scratch marks. He frowned, trying to recall the events of the previous night.

He was Sheng Qi, the sixth prince of Dayu and the younger brother of the current emperor, whom he referred to as his elder brother but who treated him more like a son due to their 16-year age gap. Sheng Qi, now 17, had been revered as a war god since he first led 300,000 troops at the age of 15, intimidating all neighboring countries into peace.

The reason for his return to the capital was to comply with the empress dowager’s and emperor’s wishes for him to select a bride. Despite his indifference toward romance, he was summoned back with an imperial decree.

The journey home had been uneventful until the relay station in Lin County, where he encountered his cousin, Prince Mingyun. That evening, however, someone had spiked his food with a potent aphrodisiac. Unwilling to succumb, his guards rushed him toward the capital to seek a cure, but not before fate intertwined him with Lin Qing.

Back in the room, Sheng Qi called out, “Someone, come!”

A man dressed in black entered, kneeling on one knee. “Master, you’re awake. Do you feel unwell?”

The subordinate’s gaze swept over the claw marks on Sheng Qi’s chest and arms, his lips twitching in disbelief. “She’s… bold, isn’t she?”

“Xuan Yi, did anyone leave this place?” Sheng Qi asked coldly.

“No, Master. I didn’t see anyone leave,” Xuan Yi replied. Then his gaze shifted to the open window. “It seems she escaped through there.”

Sheng Qi’s expression darkened. “Scour the entire Dayu Kingdom if you must. Find that woman!”

On one hand, Sheng Qi felt a sense of responsibility for what had happened. On the other hand, her audacity—daring to scorn his skills—left him burning with indignation. “A warrior can be defeated, but never insulted,” he thought. “I’ll find her, no matter what it takes.”
