Chapter 34: Selling Goat Milk Soap 1

The next day, after breakfast, Uncle Lin set off to the town to buy a carriage.

Soon, around 11 AM, Uncle Lin returned driving the horse-drawn carriage. He spent 15 taels on it.

As expected, the news of Lin Nuo’s family buying a carriage quickly spread through the village. When Uncle Lin returned, he ran into a widow and several women chatting by the large locust tree.

Lin Nuo wanted to find a shop that sold cosmetics to ask about selling her soap there; it would be easier than shouting and looking for customers everywhere.

Linglong Pavilion had two floors. The first floor was filled with various cosmetics and some bronze mirrors, along with other items for women. It was a dazzling array.

The second floor featured high-end products and private rooms specifically for wealthy customers to choose items.

There weren’t many people in the store at the moment. As soon as Lin Nuo and the others walked in, a salesman approached them.

Upon seeing Lin Nuo, he momentarily froze. The attendant was mesmerized by the stunning woman before him, feeling as if he had encountered a fairy.

“Snap back to reality,” Lin Nuo said, snapping her fingers at him.

The attendant regained his composure, his face turning red, and immediately apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I got a bit distracted.”

Lin Nuo shook her head to indicate it was no problem. “It’s fine. Is your shopkeeper here? I have some business to discuss.”

Lin Nuo smiled gently, then took a piece of goat milk soap out of the basket, unwrapped it, and handed it to Madam Zhou.

“I’m just trying to make a small batch right now, and I haven’t decorated it well, so it might not look very good. You should find someone to get some water and try it out.”

Listening to Lin Nuo’s introduction, Madam Zhou felt quite intrigued. This product was unique in this area, and if it worked well, wouldn’t it sell like crazy?

“Go get some water,” Madam Zhou instructed the maid beside her.
