“Are you out of your mind? I have no grudge against you, so why did you kick me?” Chen Xiao pointed at Wang Xiaoke and yelled angrily.
At this moment, his once handsome face was bruised and his chin was scraped, his expression dark and angry, as if he wanted to tear Wang Xiaoke apart.
“You scumbag, flirting with a nurse in public, and you still think you’re in the right?” Wang Xiaoke wasn’t intimidated by his glare. Hearing his words, she rolled up her sleeves and retorted.
Seeing her stance, Chen Xiao thought she was about to attack again, so he quickly stepped back to avoid her strike.
“Stop it!” Chen Xiao shouted, “If you make another move, I’ll call the police.”
When Wang Xiaoke heard this, she only laughed. “You piece of trash, harassing someone in public and still dare to mention calling the police? Go ahead, call them.”
“I’m saying, what’s wrong with you? You’ve got no business interfering in my relationship with my girlfriend. Aren’t you a little too nosy?” Chen Xiao looked at Wang Xiaoke, wanting to slap some sense into her, but considering the disparity in their strength, he had to suppress his impulse and instead used a more polite tone.
Wang Xiaoke stopped in her tracks and turned her stiff head towards the silent nurse. “So, are you two in a relationship?”
“Sort of,” the nurse answered vaguely.
Wang Xiaoke was a bit confused. “Then what was that just now?”
“Flirting, don’t you understand?” Chen Xiao, seeing her guilty look, got even angrier. “Go ahead, call the police! You’ve ruined my beautiful face and I can’t even get justice. Don’t you think you should make it up to me?”
“What do you mean?” Wang Xiaoke blinked her big, shiny eyes, asking in confusion.
Chen Xiao was so angry that he almost laughed. He immediately stretched out his hand. “Playing dumb, huh? Of course, I’m talking about the medical expenses. My parents never even dared to hit me growing up, and now you come along and ruin my face. How am I supposed to face all the women who like me with this face?”
“But don’t you already have a girlfriend?” Wang Xiaoke subtly gave the nurse a look, signaling her to handle her boyfriend.
However, the effect was less than ideal. The nurse lowered her head, biting her lip, her face pale, but still said nothing.
“This isn’t your concern,” Chen Xiao said with righteous indignation. “What I’m talking about is your issue. Are you saying I’ve been hurt for nothing?”
When Wang Xiaoke heard the words “medical expenses,” her heart skipped a beat.
“Well, you haven’t had lunch yet, right? Take these, just consider them as my apology,” Wang Xiaoke forced a smile, shoved the food into the nurse’s hands, and quickly turned to flee.
Chen Xiao stared at her disappearing figure, almost spitting blood from frustration.
“Darling, let’s make up,” Chen Xiao turned to the nurse with a pleading look. “Look, I’ve ruined my handsome face for you. Please forgive me this time, I promise I won’t flirt with other women anymore. In my heart, I only like you, the rest are just business relationships.”
“Enough, Chen Xiao,” the nurse closed her eyes, fighting back the tears. “How many times have I forgiven you because of your sweet words? And what’s the result? You just keep getting worse, hurting me over and over again.”
