Wife, please take responsibility.
Wife, please take responsibility. Chapter 69 – Dare Not Agree

“I think your idea is great, and I fully support you,” Su Man said, giving Wang Xiaoke a high-five.

The two of them discussed and planned for a while, finally coming up with a detailed workflow.

With a clear plan in place, they wasted no time and got to work. Su Man took charge of placing ads in newspapers and magazines, leveraging her network to make quick arrangements with just a few phone calls.

Meanwhile, Wang Xiaoke printed out a stack of flyers to be distributed. After a busy day of preparations, the two regrouped, both looking exhausted.

Holding a large stack of flyers, Wang Xiaoke was drenched in sweat.

“There’s no way the two of us can handle distributing all these flyers. Why don’t we find a few more people to help? That way, we’ll have more time to look for vineyards specializing in grape farming,” Su Man suggested.

Wang Xiaoke agreed with the suggestion but still voiced her concern. “We’ll need to distribute these in some pretty remote areas. Do you think that’s feasible?”

“Don’t worry. I’ve got the right people for the job,” Su Man assured her confidently.

The two of them went to a nearby township and hired a well-known local distribution company to handle the flyer distribution. This freed them up to go door-to-door, asking about grape growers in the area.

From dawn until dusk, they visited households and talked to locals, but they only managed to find three families growing grapes, and even then, the scale of their vineyards was quite small.

Fortunately, the grape quality was excellent. On the spot, Wang Xiaoke signed agreements with these families to purchase all their grapes at market price.

Although the total quantity was negligible compared to their needs, it was still a start, and this small success gave Wang Xiaoke some comfort.

That night passed uneventfully. The next day, news of Wang Xiaoke’s grape-buying efforts appeared in small ads across various newspapers and began spreading throughout Xinyun City.

Chen Ze spotted one of the ads in the corner of a newspaper. Narrowing his phoenix eyes, he found himself unexpectedly impressed. He hadn’t thought that woman, even in such dire straits, could come up with this kind of solution.

“President Chen, you seem particularly interested in Miss Wang lately,” teased his beautiful secretary, who had noticed him glancing at the ad once again.

“I thought she’d come begging me for help when she hit rock bottom. Turns out, for someone who seems carefree on the surface, she’s got a fair amount of grit,” Chen Ze said, his tone calm and indifferent.

Hearing this, the secretary nodded in agreement. “Ever since Wang Chengyao’s accident, she’s had to face these challenges all on her own. For a young woman who’s never had to endure hardship, pulling herself together so quickly and trying to keep Wang Group afloat is, honestly, quite admirable, regardless of whether she succeeds or fails.”

“Qiao Xin, you sound like you sympathize with her,” Chen Ze remarked, studying his distant cousin. It was rare for her to speak kindly about anyone.

Qiao Xin raised her eyebrows and smiled warmly. “We’re both women, after all. I wouldn’t call it sympathy, just a bit of empathy. Women are emotional creatures, you know.”

Her gaze lingered on Chen Ze, as though trying to read his thoughts. With an ambiguous smile, she added, “But you’re the interesting one. This is the first time I’ve seen you so concerned about a woman.”

“Don’t say such misleading things. She and I just happen to know each other. Besides, her current challenge is directly tied to whether we can bring Wang Group down and absorb it into our own business. Of course, I’m paying close attention to her actions,” Chen Ze replied, dismissing her implications.
