Chapter 5 Encounter Again

Mr. Li is a middle-aged man in his fifties, tall and thin, with not very fair skin. He wore a black suit, giving his face a serious look.

Mr. Chen appeared younger than Mr. Li, probably in his forties. He looked at Su Yu and Chu Yao, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes, then smiled, “I never expected to encounter such beautiful ladies under General Zheng’s command. I am truly fortunate to visit Haicheng this time.”

Mr. Li, sitting next to Chu Yao, didn’t drink much, only occasionally clinking glasses with Chu Yao.

Chu Yao was relieved to find that Mr. Li was quite refined.

“Mr. Zheng, Mr. Li, I’ll go to the bathroom.” Su Yu said hello to Mr. Zheng and Mr. Li, then left the table and went to the bathroom.

Mr. Li watched Su Yu walk out of the private room and exclaimed, “Mr. Zheng, this girl can hold her liquor.”

Mr. Zheng nodded with a smile.

“Ugh…”

Su Yu knelt over the toilet and vomited profusely.

She was inducing vomiting.

Everyone had warned her against it, but Su Yu didn’t want the alcohol to stay in her stomach. She needed to stay sober to go home.

In this city, she only had herself to rely on. She had to take care of herself.

“Done vomiting?” The man’s tone was somewhat mocking.

Su Yu hesitated for a moment but decided not to respond.

She walked past Shen Yan without a word.

As Su Yu took a few steps, the man’s voice rang out again, “Just slept last night, already forgotten so soon?”

“This city is so small, I ran into the man I slept with last night so soon.”

Su Yu didn’t stop walking, pretending not to hear, and returned to the private room.

Mr. Chen was completely drunk. When Su Yu returned, Mr. Li suggested ending the gathering and going home, saying his wife was waiting for him.

General Zheng exchanged a few more pleasantries with him, asking him to take his time.

Finally, General Zheng sent Mr. Chen back to his hotel.

The night wind was a bit chilly, and it sent goosebumps up Su Yu’s arms after drinking.

She shivered.

After seeing off the bosses, Chu Yao finally breathed a sigh of relief. She walked back to Su Yu’s side, “Let’s go, I’ll drive you home.”

Su Yu smiled and reminded Chu Yao, “Sister Yao, you’ve been drinking, you can’t drive.”

Chu Yao was taken aback, then smiled, “I didn’t drink much.”

Su Yu shook her head with a smile, “Go ahead and call a ride-hailing service. I’ll just take a taxi back.”

She didn’t want Chu Yao to lose points for drunk driving.

In the end, Chu Yao obediently called a ride-hailing service from the available ones at the entrance.

“Text me when you get home.” Chu Yao reminded Su Yu before leaving.

Su Yu nodded and waved goodbye to her.

Su Yu looked up at the dark sky. There were no stars, and the moon was hidden behind the clouds, appearing hazy.

Tonight was destined to be a sleepless night.

Because Su Yu was in the villa area, the taxi she called didn’t arrive quickly.

After waiting for about ten minutes, the taxi finally stopped in front of Su Yu.

She opened the car door and was about to get in when a hand grabbed her arm.

“Driver, don’t go.” The man directly closed the car door and said to the driver in front.

The taxi driver cursed, “What’s wrong with you?”

Then he stepped on the gas and drove away.

Su Yu looked at the man in bewilderment, “What are you doing? Are you crazy?”

Shen Yan put one hand in his pocket and grabbed Su Yu’s arm with the other, a slight smile on his lips, “Why are you different from last night?”

Last night, this woman wasn’t like this. Last night, she was full of charm, trying to seduce him, but today she was so cold to him.

She didn’t recognize him after putting her pants on.

Su Yu struggled to shake off the hand on her arm, but it only tightened its grip. “Last night was last night, today is today. Let go of me!”

Shen Yan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

This woman, her two faces changed so quickly.

Which one was the real her?

“Su Yu.”

When Su Yu heard Shen Yan call her name, her heart skipped a beat, and her heart raced.

How did he know her name? Did she say it while drunk last night?

“I haven’t received my service fee from you last night.” Shen Yan said calmly.

Su Yu’s emotions were all caught in his eyes. Shen Yan continued, “You also said you’d pay by the hour.”

Su Yu pursed her lips, swallowed, and tried to keep her expression calm. “How much do you want? I’ll transfer it to you now.”

She did sleep with him, and she could afford to pay for a night.

A curve appeared at the corner of Shen Yan’s lips, a playful smile. He pulled Su Yu closer to him, his voice low and soft, “I’ve changed my mind. I don’t want the service fee anymore.”
