Wild Enough To Know Better Chapter 8

Chapter 8 Mu Ran

Finally, Su Yu took Chen Zong, who was full of alcohol, to the model room.

There were other customers in the model room looking at houses. Mr. Chen Zong’s unmistakable alcohol breath made them furrow their brows.

When calculating the price back at the sales office, Mr. Chen Zong, who was a bit tipsy, started flirting with Su Yu.

He kept staring at Su Yu, even making advances, but Su Yu cleverly avoided him.

Su Yu made an excuse to go to the front desk to get the card machine. She stood in front of the counter, writing notes while quietly complaining to Chu Yao, “I don’t know how much alcohol Mr. Chen Zong drank. When he went to the model room, he even touched my butt. Damn, it’s disgusting.”

Su Yu looked disgusted.

Chu Yao leaned closer to Su Yu and whispered, “If it doesn’t work out, I’ll have Xiao Zhao help you with the paperwork.”

She was worried Su Yu would be taken advantage of.

“No need, I can handle it. If he doesn’t pay today, I won’t let him out of here.” Su Yu rejected Chu Yao’s suggestion.

She had just finished writing the notes. “Sister Yao, hand me the card machine.”

Chu Yao turned around, took the card machine from the back counter, and handed it to Su Yu. “Just be careful.”

“Aren’t you worried about me?” Su Yu smiled.

Su Yu had Mr. Chen Zong sign the completed notes and reminded him, “Mr. Chen Zong, you get this discount with a one-time payment. I also told the leader about your situation. By the end of the month, you need to complete the payment, and you’ll still get an 15% discount.”

Because Mr. Chen Zong had connections, they originally offered him a 10% discount for a one-time payment, but it was reduced to 15% as per the instructions.

Mr. Chen Zong looked at the notes, nodded, and stood up, saying to Su Yu, “I didn’t pay attention to the layout earlier. Show me again.”

“…” Su Yu was a bit speechless.

But she still smiled patiently and said, “Okay.”

Su Yu cursed in her heart.

After seeing off Mr. Chen Zong, Su Yu finished work on time.

She waved to Chu Yao and left the company early.

As soon as she sat in the driver’s seat, Su Yu felt relieved.

Sales were like this, encountering different customers every day, some normal, some bizarre.

She was used to dealing with customers like Mr. Chen Zong, but couldn’t help feeling disgusted every time.

Some customers even tried to flirt with her on WeChat after buying a house.

Feeling annoyed, Su Yu opened her bag to take out some makeup. She hadn’t had a moment to herself all day and could feel her nose getting oily.

As she took out the makeup, a piece of paper fell out.

It was a note.

On it was a line of text.

“Want to continue, find me.”

Followed by a string of numbers, a phone number.

Su Yu held the note, thinking of the man from the hotel.

The man who said, “I want to continue sleeping with you,” echoed in her mind.

Su Yu’s eyes darkened.

After sleeping together twice, she still didn’t know the man’s name.

But he seemed to know hers.

In this fast-food era, love seemed like a luxury. There was probably no chance between her and that man.

Let alone continuing to sleep together.

Su Yu felt that love in this era was too cheap. Some people would claim to deeply love someone after just a few days of knowing them, only to move on to someone else when the novelty wore off, as if nothing had happened.

But she had to admit, novelty was like a catalyst in a relationship.

When she was ambiguous with Shen Yan, she didn’t feel much.

She felt like she was just satisfying a physical need.

Su Yu shook her head, clearing her mind of these thoughts.

She casually threw the note back into her bag.

Buckling her seatbelt, changing into flat shoes, she started the car and drove off.

When she returned to her apartment, a car had just left, leaving a parking spot.

Parking spaces in her apartment were limited, first come, first served.

Having finished work early today, she planned to pamper herself with a beauty treatment.

After showering and sitting down, her best friend Mu Ran called.

Su Yu answered the call.

“Su Yu, where are you? Have you finished work? I just landed in Haicheng today.”

Mu Ran sounded a bit tired.

“Just finished showering.”

The person on the other end of the phone immediately perked up, “That means you’ve finished work. Come out and have barbecue with me, no refusals, it’s decided.”

“…” Su Yu.

She wanted to refuse, but Mu Ran added, “I’m so hungry, and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you.”

Su Yu was about to refuse but changed her mind, “Send me the address.”

“Ok.” Mu Ran happily hung up the phone.

Soon, Su Yu received the location she sent.

Su Yu sighed helplessly, got up, put on light makeup, changed clothes, grabbed her jacket, bag, and keys, and left.

As she arrived at the barbecue restaurant, she saw Mu Ran sitting inside.

As soon as they met, Mu Ran complained, “Why did you take so long? I’ve been waiting for you for almost twenty minutes.”

“You chose a place far from where I live.” Su Yu pulled out a chair and sat down.

“I’ve already ordered, it’s what you like.” Mu Ran smiled and placed the ordered items in front of Su Yu.

Su Yu glanced briefly and moved them aside.

Looking at Mu Ran, she asked, “How many days are you staying this time?”

Mu Ran took a sip of water, “Resting for two days, my flight to Haicheng was today.”

Mu Ran had actually switched flights with the crew to come back to Haicheng earlier to see Su Yu.

Calculating the days, they hadn’t seen each other for over a month.

After chatting for a while, the skewers arrived.

Mu Ran picked up a chicken wing skewer and took a bite, “How about you? How have sales been recently?”

“It’s been okay, but there aren’t many units left in this project. I estimate it will last for about two more weeks.”

“So you’ll have some free time again?”

“Not necessarily, there’s still the post-handover procedures to handle.”

After each project was completed, the leaders would leave a few people to handle the post-handover procedures. Salespeople like Su Yu usually qualified to stay.

Su Yu put down her beer and teased Mu Ran, “Is it the same guy as last time, or have you changed again?”

Mu Ran changed boyfriends as frequently as she changed clothes.

Mu Ran thought for a moment, “Which one are you talking about?”

She couldn’t remember the last one; she had changed three this month.

Su Yu reminded her, “The one surnamed Zhou.”

“Oh~” Mu Ran drew out the sound, remembering the person Su Yu mentioned, “You mean Zhou Wenhao. We broke up last month; his farts were too smelly, I didn’t like it.”

Su Yu: “…”

Mu Ran always had a bunch of strange reasons for breaking up.
