Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 100

Chapter 100: Raccoon Deliveries?

In the dense forest, facing the overwhelming firepower of the pursuing force, Xue Zhuang had no power to resist.

Even though he was the captain of Wei Tian’s troops, let’s not forget, there’s also Rose on the other side.

Xue Zhuang could only fire a few shots, change positions, fire a few more shots, then change positions again.

“It’s not like it’s completely useless, but it’s not really doing much,” Su Jiang muttered to himself.

“Captain, where’s your walkie-talkie? Call the brothers over!”

Su Jiang hid in a corner nearby, asking the obvious.

Xue Zhuang’s face flushed red: “The… the walkie-talkie, I accidentally lost it!”

He didn’t dare say it was destroyed by a sharpshooter, otherwise, the fact that he was made to stand at attention for hours wouldn’t be able to stay hidden.

He’s at least a captain, he needs to save face.

Su Jiang heard him not telling the truth, and secretly smiled, but his tone was still tragic:

“Captain, we can’t hold them off, you go first, I’ll cover your retreat!”

Although he said this, Su Jiang still stood there, showing no sign of covering the retreat.

He wasn’t even willing to pretend to fire a few shots.

“No, we’ll leave together!”

Xue Zhuang insisted.  Though he didn’t know which of his team members it was, since they called him captain, it must be one of his teammates.

He, Xue Zhuang, couldn’t do something like leaving his teammate behind to cover his escape.

Seeing this, Su Jiang gritted his teeth and shouted, “Captain, you hold on, I’ll go get the brothers to support you!”

“Okay… huh?”

Xue Zhuang was a bit dumbfounded. He turned his head and saw that the other guy had actually just run away?

“Captain, three minutes, hold on for three minutes, I’ll definitely bring the brothers back!”

Su Jiang didn’t forget to shout back, calming Xue Zhuang’s emotions.

Three minutes?

Xue Zhuang looked at the group of people in the distance, then at the single grenade left on his waist.

Gritting his teeth, he yelled back to Su Jiang, “Three minutes, I’ll definitely buy you three minutes!”

“Make sure you bring the brothers, take out those An family bastards!”

Su Jiang didn’t answer, he just ran, hearing Xue Zhuang’s words, he secretly thought to himself:

I’ll bring you a pile of crap.

You just hold on, I’m out of here.

With Xue Zhuang’s help, Su Jiang’s psychological pressure immediately lessened.

He hadn’t run far when he heard a booming sound behind him.

He stopped and turned his head to look back.

“Good lord…”

Su Jiang clicked his tongue, a little moved.

He never thought that Xue Zhuang, for his sake, would even use a grenade.

He really, I’m gonna cry.

“Zzzzt——”

“Su Jiang, Su Jiang, can you hear me? Are you still alive?”

The walkie-talkie crackled, An Mingjie’s voice reached Su Jiang’s ears.

Su Jiang ran while taking out the walkie-talkie, grumbling, “I’ve told you how many times, use code names when you’re in action!”

“How am I supposed to know your code name?”

“Call me ‘Cold Noodle King’… or just ‘King’ will do.”

“Ok, ok, ok, what’s going on over there?”

Su Jiang looked back, the gunshots had already subsided.

“Well… how do I put it, I ran into a good Samaritan on the way, they helped me escape.”

“Huh?”

An Mingjie was surprised. At this critical moment, someone dared to help you?

Are they crazy?

But since Su Jiang escaped, it was undoubtedly good news.

“Listen, we’ve gathered our forces now, and we’re planning to take down the Feng family’s headquarters.”

“So?”

“So, you hold off that woman called Rose!”

“An Mingjie, you jerk!”

Su Jiang directly cursed, “Do you think I’m some kind of superhero? I just escaped, now you want me to go back and find that woman?”

“I believe you can do it!”

“I’m not doing it, I only have five bullets left, what am I supposed to do with that?”

“I guessed that, so I sent you some bullets.”

“What are you talking about? How did you send…”

Su Jiang hadn’t finished speaking when a rustling sound came from nearby.

“Chirp chirp!” Found it!

Little raccoon’s head popped out from the bushes, his nose twitching, seemingly sniffing for something.

Seeing Su Jiang, he excitedly waved his little paw.

Then, under Su Jiang’s dumbfounded gaze, it ran to him and dropped a backpack.

“Chirp chirp!” For you!

Racoon pointed at the backpack and called out.

Su Jiang silently opened the backpack, inside were a bunch of sniper rifle bullets and a small amount of explosives.

“How is it? Did Racoon deliver it to you?”

An Mingjie’s voice sounded again in the walkie-talkie: “I just happened to run into that little guy, and he told me that he’s your friend.”

“I guessed you were probably short on ammo, so I tentatively asked him if he could help deliver a package.”

“I didn’t expect that little guy to be so intelligent, he put on the backpack and went looking for you.”

Su Jiang remained silent.

At this moment, he suddenly understood Li Cai a little.

So that’s how he felt when he saw me talking to a rat?

Holy crap, a raccoon delivering packages!

How come you, An Mingjie, have a raccoon as a messenger?

“Chirp chirp!”

The little raccoon excitedly gestured to Su Jiang, saying that An Mingjie had given him lots of yummy food.

“Pop!”

Su Jiang gave Racoon a whack on the head.  Is that all it took to buy you off, some rotten fruit?

Looking at the ammo in the backpack, Su Jiang sighed softly.

He picked up the walkie-talkie: “We have a deal, I’ll only hold off Rose.”

“No problem, holding her off is enough.”

“You guys need to hurry up.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll support you as soon as we can.”

Su Jiang hung up the walkie-talkie, his eyes flashing with a hint of sharpness.

If An Mingjie and the others are slow, he might have to take Rose out himself.

A whole backpack of bullets, enough for Su Jiang to splurge.

“Get on my back, follow me.”

Su Jiang told Racoon to continue carrying the pack, after all, he was facing Rose, carrying a backpack would hinder his movements.

He simply treated Racoon as a tool bear, a mobile ammo depot for Su Jiang.

Meanwhile, on the pursuers’ side.

Rose’s eyes were cold, she looked at Xue Zhuang and said calmly, “Explain yourself.”

Xue Zhuang knelt on the ground, his face flushed, he lowered his head, his fists clenched tightly.

His single grenade had wiped out almost half of the pursuers’ strength.

After his bullets ran out and he was captured, he realized that he had been fighting his own people all along.

“That bastard…”

Xue Zhuang cursed inwardly. Now he understood, he had been used as a pawn.

That guy who called himself captain, he was the real enemy.

It was ridiculous that he had actually considered him a teammate, helping him cover his retreat.

“I…” Xue Zhuang was about to explain.

“Bang!”

Rose didn’t hesitate, she fired, shooting through Xue Zhuang’s arm.

“Ugh!”

Xue Zhuang cried out in pain, his eyes wide as he stared at Rose.

“I’m not killing you, it’s for Young Master Wei to deal with you personally.”

Rose said coldly, “Because of you, that man escaped.”

Xue Zhuang heard this, he pressed his hand tightly to his arm, and said in a low voice, “I… I understand.”

Rose looked at him deeply, then turned around.

“Let’s go.”

Chasing Su Jiang now was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Xue Zhuang took a deep breath and stood up shakily.

Before he could straighten up completely, the familiar gunshot rang out again.

“Bang!”

A bullet pierced through Xue Zhuang’s back of the head.

Xue Zhuang fell to the ground, his eyes wide open.

He was completely dead.

Rose turned her head and looked back in disbelief at the direction the bullet came from.

Is he crazy?

He dares to come back and kill?
