After dawn, on the boat returning to Jiangdu from An Residence.
“Ugh…”
Su Jiang leaned against the railing, looking utterly miserable.
“Why… Ugh…”
Why was he still seasick?
“Click!”
“Click!”
“…”
The sound of camera shutters rang out, one after another. Su Jiang feebly turned his head.
His pale face, caught in the An family’s snapshot.
Su Jiang, the seasick one!
These were precious photos, hard to come by.
“Well… Young Master Su, why don’t you lie down and rest a bit?”
Hearing this, Su Jiang lowered his eyes, “How long until we reach shore?”
“Uh… a long time.”
“…” “Do you have a stick or a club?”
“Huh?”
So, under the astonished gaze of the An family, Su Jiang once again knocked himself unconscious.
“What’s going on?”
Li Cai, seeing the commotion, frowned and walked over.
“Brother Cai, Young Master Su knocked himself out to avoid seasickness.”
“Huh?”
That absurd?
Li Cai pushed through the crowd and saw Su Jiang lying unconscious on the floor.
He stood in silence for a moment.
After a long while, Li Cai broke into a mischievous smile and said, “Carry him to my room and lay him down.”
“Okay, got it!”
Several people helped carry Su Jiang into the cabin.
“Creakâ”
“Huh?”
As they opened Li Cai’s door, everyone was stunned.
Two figures were seen inside the room, sneaking around and doing something.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, a mouse and a bear froze in place.
“Squeak squeak?” Caught?
“Chirp chirp?” Someone’s here?
Wangcai and Racoon were currently nestled in Li Cai’s room, stealing food.
“Uh…”
Everyone looked at Li Cai’s face, which was indeed terrifyingly black.
Li Cai clenched his fist and took a deep breath.
Don’t get angry, don’t get angry, it’s not worth getting angry with two animals.
Waving his hand, Li Cai chased the two scoundrels out, leaving Su Jiang alone lying on the bed.
When only he and Su Jiang were left in the room, Li Cai looked around.
Then, he secretly pulled out a marker from his pocket.
He wrote the five big characters “Li Cai is my Big brother” on Su Jiang’s face.
“Click!”
After taking the picture, Li Cai returned to the deck, satisfied.
He would give Su Jiang a surprise when he woke up.
As for An Mingjie, he had already slept through it all.
Since arriving on the deserted island, he had barely closed his eyes. Now that he finally had a chance to rest, An Mingjie immediately fell asleep.
As dusk approached, Su Jiang woke up in a daze.
As his consciousness returned, that damn feeling of nausea came back.
Su Jiang covered his mouth and rushed outside, vomiting again.
“Oh, you’re awake?”
Li Cai grinned, “We’re almost ashore, we can go home.”
Su Jiang leaned against the railing, wiping his mouth weakly, looking around, and said curiously, “Why are they looking at me like that?”
“Is there something strange about my face?”
“No, it’s perfectly normal.” Li Cai smiled impassively, “Maybe they’re worried about you because you’re seasick.”
Su Jiang was half-believing, he felt something was off.
At this moment, An Mingjie also woke up, stretching as he came out.
“Ah…”
He took a deep breath, seeing the familiar Jiangdu city ahead, a smile appeared on his lips.
Finally, they made it back alive.
Looking at Su Jiang, An Mingjie felt a touch of emotion.
He had to admit, the reason they were able to get through this so smoothly was all thanks to Su Jiang… huh?
What were those black characters on Su Jiang’s face?
An Mingjie raised an eyebrow and walked towards Su Jiang and Li Cai.
As he got closer, he could clearly see what was written on Su Jiang’s face.
Li Cai is my big brother?
An Mingjie glanced at Li Cai, you little rascal.
But he didn’t say anything. After all, these two guys were constantly trying to outsmart each other, and he could just watch the show.
Soon, the boat was about to reach Jiangdu port.
Su Jiang’s eyes widened as he saw a familiar figure at the port.
An Rou, An Xingchang, and other members of the An family were waiting for them at the port.
“After getting on the boat, I’ll use the satellite phone to tell Rou Rou that we won and are on our way back.”
An Mingjie walked beside Su Jiang and smiled, “The first thing she asked me was if you were injured.”
He then deliberately glanced at the coat Su Jiang was wearing.
Under the coat, there were tons of messy bandages.
“I wonder how you’ll explain that to her later.” An Mingjie chuckled mischievously.
Su Jiang smiled lightly at his words.
Lacking in knowledge, aren’t you?
No one knew that his injuries had actually healed unconsciously during his sleep.
The extraordinary recovery power of his body was beyond that of an ordinary person.
Except for the areas where he was shot, which hadn’t fully recovered yet, the rest had already healed just like a normal person.
“Hey, what’s that?”
Su Jiang and An Mingjie frowned, noticing that the An family members at the port seemed to be holding something up.
“It looks like… a banner?”
With good eyesight, Su Jiang was the first to read the content on the banner and recited it word for word.
“Welcome the honored son-in-law of the An family, Su Jiang, back in glory.”
There was even a crooked smiley face drawn at the end.
For a moment, Su Jiang and An Mingjie were both lost in silent thought.
“Ahem… It must be my old man who did this.”
An Mingjie coughed lightly, feeling a bit embarrassed, “Besides him, I can’t think of anyone else who would pull this stunt.”
“Ah… uhm…”
Su Jiang didn’t know what to say.
He was the one who was most mortified right now.
Looking at the oversized banner with his name on it, Su Jiang felt so embarrassed.
Should he just shoot a bullet and destroy the banner?
This thought popped into his head, but before he could act on it, the banner was taken down.
He could vaguely hear the voices of An Rou and An Xingchang.
“You damn old man, who told you to do this? Get rid of it!”
“Didn’t you say we should welcome them back? I thought it would be grander this way.”
“Why is only Su Jiang’s name on it?”
“It doesn’t matter if the others come back or not, my son-in-law can’t be harmed.”
Hearing this, Su Jiang mechanically turned his head and looked at An Mingjie.
“Holy crap, Brother An, calm down!”
Su Jiang was startled when he saw what was happening.
An Mingjie had already loaded a bullet, his face emotionless as he raised his gun, aiming at An Xingchang.
Su Jiang quickly pulled An Mingjie back, trying to persuade him, “Calm down, you have to calm down.”
“I’m sure Uncle An didn’t mean it that way.”
As soon as he finished speaking, An Xingchang and An Rou’s voices came through again.
“How can you talk like that? My brother’s life isn’t important?”
“Your brother is nothing!”
“Bang!”
The bullet whizzed past An Xingchang’s ear.
An Xingchang turned his head sharply, only to see An Mingjie standing on the deck, the black muzzle of the gun pointed directly at him.
The gun barrel was still warm from the bullet. Su Jiang stood behind An Mingjie, feeling awkward.
An Xingchang’s words had also stunned Su Jiang, so he couldn’t stop An Mingjie.
An Mingjie gritted his teeth, his hand holding the gun trembling.
“You old geezer, say that again if you dare.”
