Afternoon, Jiangdu City Driving School.
Su Jiang could only say, “As expected of a top-tier family.”
He had only mentioned it in the afternoon, and by the afternoon, An Mingjie had already arranged the driving school and instructor.
An Rou, wearing jeans and white sneakers, with a white jacket draped over her shoulders, looked somewhat bewildered.
Who am I? Where am I?
Why am I suddenly here learning to drive?
Even now, An Rou still hadn’t grasped what had happened.
All she knew was that Su Jiang made a phone call, and she ended up here taking her driver’s license.
“Hello everyone!”
From a distance, a slightly overweight man, seemingly a bit older, approached Su Jiang and An Rou.
“Su Jiang, and An Rou, right?”
The man looked at them both and introduced himself, “I’m Zhang Chi, your instructor. Boss An has already made arrangements with me. You just focus on learning, all the fees are covered by him.”
“You can rest assured about my teaching skills. I’m the gold medal instructor of our driving school. I used to be a race car driver.”
Wow, they hired the gold medal instructor right away.
An Mingjie was generous.
“Coach Zhang, right? Nice to meet you, nice to meet you.” Su Jiang quickly stepped forward and shook Zhang Chi’s hand. “I want to get my driver’s license as soon as possible. How long will it take?”
“Uh… if everything goes smoothly, about a month.”
“That long?”
“Of course, there’s a procedure. Even if you practice faster, you still have to wait.”
Su Jiang frowned. A month, he couldn’t wait that long.
There was no other way, he had to pull some strings.
But in this matter, An Mingjie’s word wouldn’t be very effective, he had to find someone official.
“Coach, wait a second, I’ll make a call.”
Su Jiang finished speaking and walked to a corner, dialing a number.
“Beep…”
“Hello, Yang Ming, it’s me, Su Jiang.”
“…What’s up?”
“Something’s up, big stuff!”
Su Jiang glanced at Zhang Chi, then said, “It’s like this, I’m taking my driver’s license test, but I can’t wait too long. So, could you arrange it for me at our Inspectorate Bureau?”
He deliberately emphasized the words “our Inspectorate Bureau.”
“Su Jiang, are you crazy?”
Yang Ming heard Su Jiang’s words and directly cursed, “What do you think the Inspectorate Bureau is? You want them to pull strings for you to get a driver’s license?”
“That’s a bit too much, you know.” Su Jiang retorted, “I’m a member of the Inspectorate Bureau, after all. I’ve shed blood for the Inspectorate Bureau!”
“Nosebleeds don’t count, and besides, how long has it been since you last showed up for work?”
“That’s none of your business. Just give me a straight answer, can you fix it?”
“No…uh, wait a second.” Yang Ming paused mid-sentence, suddenly.
After a while, Yang Ming’s voice continued:
“I can get it done for you, but there’s a condition.”
“What condition? Tell me.” Su Jiang raised an eyebrow.
“You still have to learn to drive. We can only contact the traffic management department and help you skip the test waiting period.” Yang Ming paused, then added, “Also, find some time to meet with Director Zheng.”
As soon as these words came out, Su Jiang immediately understood.
It seemed that Old Zheng wanted to see him, but he was too embarrassed to reach out directly, so he used this opportunity to have him come to him.
“Alright, alright, it’s settled.”
Su Jiang finished speaking and hung up the phone.
Then, he walked over to Zhang Chi and said, “Coach Zhang, I’ve taken care of everything. You just focus on teaching. Time, everything is taken care of.”
Zhang Chi, upon hearing this, was completely stunned, staring at Su Jiang in shock.
Who exactly are you?
You can solve this?
All he knew was that the person who hired him as an instructor was a big boss, someone who wasn’t short of money.
But he didn’t expect his student to have such a strong background.
“Well… uh, just call me Little Zhang.” Zhang Chi swallowed, speaking cautiously.
Well, his attitude changed quickly.
No wonder he could become the gold medal instructor.
“…I’ll still call you Coach Zhang.”
Su Jiang looked at Zhang Chi’s face, which had more wrinkles than his own father’s.
So, after some discussion, An Rou chose to learn C2, while Su Jiang decisively chose C1.
What kind of big man would learn C2?
It has to be C1.
……
Two and a half hours later.
An Rou was already on the track for the second subject.
Su Jiang, on the other hand… was still struggling to start the engine.
This was his fifteenth time stalling the car.
Even Zhang Chi couldn’t help but sigh.
In all his years as a gold medal instructor, he had never seen a student who was so proficient at stalling.
What a waste, Su Jiang should have joined the fire department.
After stalling the car yet again, Su Jiang silently got out of the car, walked to Zhang Chi, and said with his head down, “Coach, I want to learn C2.”
“I was waiting for you to say that! The car is ready for you!”
Zhang Chi clapped his hands excitedly.
He couldn’t say how he felt teaching Su Jiang to drive these past few hours.
Su Jiang was suffering, but he was suffering even more.
With a normal student, he would have already unleashed his fury.
But facing Su Jiang, he dared not.
Because of that phone call Su Jiang made to Yang Ming, Zhang Chi had directly labeled Su Jiang as someone not to be messed with.
“Hey, Coach, don’t you have other students?”
While changing cars, Su Jiang curiously asked.
The whole afternoon, Zhang Chi seemed to only be teaching them two.
“Usually, don’t instructors like you take care of several students at once?”
At Zhang Chi’s words, he smiled lightly.
“I do have other students. Two came in the morning, and the others…”
At this point, Zhang Chi simply showed Su Jiang his phone contacts.
“Here are my students. As for why they didn’t come, you’ll see the notes in the parentheses at the back.” Zhang Chi chuckled.
Su Jiang took the phone and looked at it, his mouth twitching. Feeling a mix of emotions, Zhang Chi couldn’t help but feel that the world was full of surprises.
Zhang Chi’s phone contacts list:
Student No.1 Chen XX (Prays to Buddha before the exam)
Student No.2 Fang XX (Cried for half an hour after failing the second subject)
Student No.3 Li XX (Intentionally crosses the line during the exam to see how many points are deducted)
Student No.4 Liu XX (Doesn’t come when it rains, doesn’t come when the sun shines)
Student No.5 Sun XX (Doesn’t come when it’s cold, doesn’t come when it’s hot)
Student No.6 Xu XX (Comes running when there’s a handsome guy)
Student No.7 Zhao XX (Her driving scares me so much that even if I get drunk, I can’t learn)
Student No.8 Chen XX (Cries and needs to be comforted every time the car doesn’t go into reverse)
“Coach, you’ve got it tough, huh?”
Su Jiang chuckled awkwardly as he handed the phone back to Zhang Chi.
“Who says it’s not?” Zhang Chi sighed, “Meeting these few divine beings, I guess I’m just unlucky.”
“If it wasn’t for wanting to keep my gold medal instructor title, I would have kicked all of them out. Whoever wants to teach them, can teach them.”
Just as Zhang Chi finished speaking, An Rou shouted from the other side, “Coach, I think I can practice the third subject now!”
What?
Su Jiang was startled and looked at An Rou in disbelief.
I haven’t even started, and you’re already on the third subject?
When did you develop this talent? How come I didn’t know?
She must have cheated!
An Rou must have cheated!
But Zhang Chi didn’t care about any of that. He simply showed a relieved smile.
“Get familiar with the car first, I’ll take her to run through the third subject.”
Leaving Su Jiang behind, Zhang Chi went straight to An Rou. She was the student he actually wanted to teach.
As for Su Jiang?
Zhang Chi thought for a moment and added two more people to his phone contacts.
Student No. 9 An Rou (Born with a natural talent for driving, learns everything instantly)
Student No. 10 Su Jiang (Professional Stalling Expert)
