Would You Confess Your Love To A Mafia Heiress? Chapter 78

Chapter 78: First Day of Living Together

Su Jiang sat in the car, nonchalantly playing a matching game.

The little white cat, Fugui, was napping beside him.

An Ruo’s two bodyguards, Azuo and Ama, were sitting in the front.  They had stayed behind this time as well.

“Click!”

An Ruo finished bidding farewell to the rest of the An family. Her face flushed red as she opened the car door and got in.

“Said goodbye… huh?”

Su Jiang turned his head and saw that An Rou, contrary to her usual self, was sitting quietly in her seat, her head lowered in silence.

He initially thought the girl was too heartbroken, but Su Jiang cautiously leaned in to take a look.

An Rou was gently biting her lip, looking flushed and embarrassed, her gaze fixed downward, not daring to meet Su Jiang’s eyes.

Su Jiang: “???”

What, why are you blushing like a teapot?

You’re saying goodbye, why are you acting so shy?

“So, uh, wanna play a matching game?”

Because he didn’t know what was wrong with An Rou, Su Jiang could only hand over his phone and use the matching game as a subtle way to test her.

An Rou glanced at it, instantly becoming furious, and stomped on Su Jiang’s foot.

“It’s a time like this, and you’re still playing matching games?”

“Well, I can’t just sit here and do nothing, can I?”

“You!”

An Rou pointed at Su Jiang, not knowing how to speak, she could only silently curse An Mingjie in her heart.

Damn brother!

“I’m supposed to go live with Su Jiang, you should  have told him, why did you tell me?!”

“What do I do now, how do I tell Su Jiang that I’m going to live at his place?”

Suddenly, An Rou saw Fugui sleeping beside her, an idea came to her mind, and she quickly said:

“Don’t you want to take Fugui home to live with you?”

“Yeah, you wouldn’t let me, right?” Su Jiang said curiously.

“I think, Fugui can live with you, but I’m going to live at your place too, just in case you bully Fugui!”

Su Jiang: “???”

Azuo and Ama: “!!!”

Su Jiang stared with wide eyes, looking at An Rou in disbelief.

“Are you even listening to yourself?” he exclaimed.

“You… you want to live at my house?”

“Won’t An Mingjie kill me?”

Azuo and Ama sat in front, exchanging glances and secretly giving An Rou a thumbs up.

“Our young lady is a real go-getter,” Azuo whispered.

“She’s taking the initiative, and even boldly demanding to live there!” Ama added.

“No, no, no, I think it’s inappropriate,” Su Jiang waved his hands frantically, quickly refusing.

“I don’t care what you think!”

An Rou snorted coldly. “It’s settled. You’re moving my things to your place tomorrow!”

“No, it really isn’t appropriate…”

Before Su Jiang could finish, An Rou had already placed her foot on top of his, her eyes fierce as she stared at him.

“What were you about to say?”

“…I was going to say, do you still want to play Candy Crush?”

“No.”

“Oh.”

Su Jiang dejectedly put away his phone and didn’t speak anymore.

“Fine, I’ll stay,” he thought to himself.

“Like I’m going to lose out on this?”

He now guessed that An Mingjie must have told An Rou to do this.

Otherwise, with this girl’s shy personality, would she ever dare to say something like that?

But An Mingjie doing this means he’s not entirely confident that he can handle it.

“Old An, don’t mess this up…”

Su Jiang prayed silently in his heart, hoping An Mingjie could pull through.

Soon, they arrived at the An family’s house, and they started moving things non-stop.

“No, my house is so small, there’s no way you can fit all this stuff!”

Su Jiang looked at An Rou stuffing bags and boxes into the car, a look of gloom on his face.

With all this stuff crammed in, the space utilization rate of his house would instantly explode.

An Rou, upon hearing this, scratched her head in a bit of distress. She wanted to bring everything.

“Let’s just bring the essentials, and leave the rest here,” Su Jiang suggested. “It’s not that far anyway, we can come back and get them later.”

So, An Rou began her decluttering process.

“This one, no… This one, yes…”

“Why are you bringing that giant yellow rat?”

“This is Pikachu, you won it for me! What yellow rat?!”

An Rou held Pikachu tightly, her tone a little unhappy.

Su Jiang had a black line across his face.

After much deliberation, An Rou finally managed to reduce her luggage to a level Su Jiang could accept.

Of course, An Rou insisted on bringing the big yellow rat, and Su Jiang couldn’t do anything about it.

So, Azuo and Ama drove to Su Jiang’s apartment complex and helped An Rou move her luggage into Su Jiang’s home.

“Little Brother Su, Miss An is entrusted to you!”

“We’ve been with Miss An for so long, please make sure to protect her safety.”

As they left, the two bodyguards grasped Su Jiang’s hands, their eyes filled with tears as they spoke.

It’s hard to say if they were crying tears of joy, finally free from An Rou’s control.

After closing the door, they drove off.

Su Jiang and An Rou exchanged a glance, then quickly looked away.

Both felt a little awkward.

“So, the guest room is over here… Would you like to take a look?” Su Jiang spoke first.

“…Oh.”

Su Jiang led An Rou to the guest room. Although it was unoccupied, Su Jiang had always made sure to clean it regularly, so it was quite tidy.

Afterwards, An Rou refused Su Jiang’s help and started unpacking her things alone.

He made the bed and then started decorating the empty room.

Su Jiang sat on the sofa, holding onto Fugui, the cat, and swinging its two small paws casually.

Fugui’s cat face was filled with reluctance, but it couldn’t resist and had to go along with it.

The two of them sat on the sofa like that, watching An Rou bustling in and out.

Su Jiang furrowed his brow, feeling like he had forgotten something.

“Forget it, if I can’t remember, it probably isn’t important.”

Two hours passed, and An Rou was finally done.

She changed into more casual clothes and walked out of the room, only to see Su Jiang and Fugui, one man and one cat, playing poker on the sofa.

Su Jiang looked intently, drawing a card from the deck, flipping it over and dropping it in front of Fugui.

The King of Spades!

“Tsk, silly cat, you’re going to lose this round again.” Su Jiang was a little smug.

“Meow!” Not yet!

Fugui looked stubborn, even though it had lost to Su Jiang many times in the past two hours playing “higher or lower”.

But it believed it could turn things around!

It stretched out its paw, grabbed a card from the deck, and then used both paws to painstakingly flip it over.

The Queen of Diamonds!

Just a little smaller than Su Jiang’s card.

“Tsk tsk tsk, too bad, silly cat. Now you owe me ten requests!”

Su Jiang showed a triumphant smile. Ten requests! It would be so much easier to boss this silly cat around in the future.

“Meow!” Let’s play again!

Fugui was still unconvinced and yowled at Su Jiang. They were about to start another round when…

“Bang! Bang!”

“Ouch!”

“Meow! It hurts!”

An Rou had just given both of them a good whack on the head.

“You two have been playing for so long, and you didn’t even think to help me?” An Rou said angrily.

“Didn’t you say you didn’t need help?” Su Jiang said, clutching his head.

“Just because I said I didn’t need help, doesn’t mean you really shouldn’t help!”

“I…”

Su Jiang was speechless. He could tell An Rou just wanted to hit him.

“Knock knock knock!”

Just then, a knock came from the door. The two of them were stunned.

Who would come to Su Jiang’s place at this time?

Su Jiang stood up, opened the door with a look of confusion, and immediately heard a familiar and annoying voice.

“Old Su, what’s the matter? It took you so long to open the door?”

Wang Ziyang stood outside the door, carrying a big bag of groceries, and said with a slight complaint.

And beside him, Ji Meng smiled at Su Jiang, “Sorry to bother you.”

Su Jiang stood there, completely dumbfounded.

He finally remembered what he had forgotten, the unimportant thing.

Wang Ziyang had said he was going to bring Ji Meng to his place for dinner today.
