Chapter 100 Jiang Li successfully caught the ghost

Even if she had noticed, Jiang Li couldn’t have helped them; fear is a natural, uncontrollable response.  She’d seen many people faint or urinate out of fear during her past exorcisms.

Seeing Sun Wenwen’s ghost, Jiang Li smirked. “Finally, you’re out.  Why stop hiding?”

Sun Wenwen’s eyes turned crimson.  Her blood-stained face looked demonic.  “Jiang Li, you bitch!  Why did you torment me when I was alive, and now that I’m a ghost, you still won’t let me go? What do we have against each other?”

The villagers trembled; they covered their ears to avoid being affected by the chilling sound waves.

Jiang Li retorted coldly, “That’s a question for yourself.  You tormented others when you were alive, and now, as a ghost, you continue to harm innocents. I’m here to send you to the afterlife on behalf of Heaven. Sun Wenwen, good deeds are rewarded, and evil deeds are punished.  For your heinous crimes, prepare for the eighteen levels of hell.”

This angered Sun Wenwen.  She believed everything was Jiang Li’s fault; if Jiang Li hadn’t stolen her man or framed her with Li Ermazi, she wouldn’t have been abused and killed.  Her face contorted.  “Jiang Li, I’ll kill you! Even if I go to hell, I’ll take you with me!”

Many villagers fainted from fear; others trembled uncontrollably.  They worried about their safety.  Was Jiang Li capable of defeating such a powerful ghost?

As they worried, Jiang Li calmly drew a talisman in the air.  A golden light flashed as the talisman landed on Sun Wenwen.  Jiang Li chanted, “Five Thunders Righteousness, Heavenly Punishment of Evil Spirits.  Thunderbolts descend, all ghosts perish!”

A thunderbolt struck Sun Wenwen, causing a piercing scream.  Her ghostly form was scorched, severely injured.  Jiang Li hadn’t killed her; she wanted Sun Wenwen to suffer in hell, then be reborn as an animal due to her sins.

Sun Wenwen, weakened and unable to resist, collapsed.  Jiang Li chanted another incantation, and Sun Wenwen vanished.  Jiang Li had sent her to the underworld.  She wouldn’t allow her to remain a malevolent spirit.  Jiang Li patted her hands, gesturing for everyone to descend the mountain.

Those who hadn’t fainted were still in shock.  They had witnessed Jiang Li’s power; Sun Wenwen, whom they considered invincible, was easily defeated.  They wouldn’t have believed it if they hadn’t seen it.

Jiang Li urged them, “What’s wrong?  Sun Wenwen is gone. Let’s go down.”

They helped those who had fainted regain consciousness.  Those who had fainted regretted missing the spectacle.

Soon, they reached the foot of the mountain.  Li Changping and the villagers eagerly inquired about the outcome.  Someone quickly answered, “She’s gone! Jiang Zhiqing is amazing! I saw Sun Zhiqing’s ghost and how Jiang Zhiqing quickly defeated her!”

“Yes, I saw it too!  She’s not only a doctor but also an exorcist!”

“I was terrified, but thankfully, I didn’t faint! Missing that would have been a lifetime regret!”

“I fainted! I’m so angry!”

“It’s okay, you only fainted.  Li Datu peed his pants!”

Li Datu, embarrassed, blushed. “Don’t laugh! Sun Zhiqing’s ghost was terrifying! I didn’t believe in ghosts and wasn’t prepared.  Peing scared into urinating is normal!”
