Chapter 101 No More Worry About Hauntings

  Although their comments were a bit chaotic, they all agreed on one thing: Jiang Li successfully subdued Sun Wenwen’s ghost.  So many team members witnessed it firsthand; there’s no way it could be fake.  After learning that Sun Wenwen’s ghost had been subdued, the team members all breathed a collective sigh of relief.

  Now that Sun Wenwen’s ghost was gone, it couldn’t harm anyone anymore.  If they hadn’t solved this, the team members would have lived in constant fear.  The team members’ gazes towards Jiang Li instantly changed.

  For me, taking her down was a piece of cake.  So those things prepared to deal with ferocious, powerful ghosts weren’t needed.  You don’t need a sledgehammer to crack a nut.”  Hearing Jiang Li’s explanation, Li Changping nodded.  So that’s how it was.  After hearing Jiang Li’s explanation, Li Changping’s gaze became even more ardent.  This meant Comrade Jiang’s mystical arts skills were unfathomable.

 I’m a member of our Victory Production Brigade; it’s my honor to contribute to the brigade.”  Li Changping patted Jiang Li on the shoulder, his eyes full of admiration.  This girl was truly outstanding, both inside and out.  She was capable yet humble and modest, with a high level of political consciousness.  Unlike some people who, while possessing some ability, were incredibly arrogant.

“Comrade Jiang, you’ve performed a great service by subduing the ghost. Go back and rest.  If you need anything from me in the future, just ask.” Jiang Li nodded.  The confrontation with Sun Wenwen had indeed consumed a lot of her energy.

 She planned to go back and rest for a while.  The original body was really weak. In the future, subduing a small ghost wouldn’t tire her out like this.

 Because her current physical condition was poor, Jiang Li had to work even harder to cultivate her abilities. This way, she could quickly improve her strength, and when she encountered such things again, she could handle them with ease.

Jiang Li left, but the team members stayed together, chattering about what had happened on the mountain.  The team members who hadn’t gone up the mountain sighed inwardly; they missed such an exciting scene!

  But whether they witnessed it or not, everyone was now happy and relaxed.  From tonight on, they no longer had to worry about ghosts, or about Sun Wenwen’s ghost haunting them.  Li Changping still said goodbye to everyone. Although many people in their Victory Production Brigade had seen ghosts and knew that ghosts and monsters really existed, they absolutely couldn’t tell anyone outside.

 If they were accused of engaging in feudal superstition, the entire brigade would be in big trouble.  The team members all assured Li Changping that they would absolutely not talk about it. Even if the captain hadn’t told them, they would only dare to talk about it within the brigade. They would never say a word outside, otherwise, they would be asking for trouble.

Mu Jingxun, because of his injury, couldn’t go up the mountain.  Plus, Jiang Li had told him to rest more, so he could only wait patiently at the educated youth point.  It was almost lunchtime when Jiang Li returned. 

Seeing Jiang Li, Mu Jingxun’s eyes were filled with concern, “Comrade Jiang, how did things go? Was it smooth?” Jiang Li nodded, “Yes, it was fine, quite smooth.  A newly deceased ghost?  With me personally handling it, how could I not deal with it?” Jiang Li said this with a certain arrogance.  Mu Jingxun liked Jiang Li’s arrogant attitude.

 “That’s good.”  Seeing Mu Jingxun’s concern, Jiang Li also asked about his injury, whether his wound still hurt.  “I’m fine, very good. Comrade Jiang, the medicine you gave me is very effective; I don’t feel any pain at all.”  After chatting for a while, Jiang Li prepared lunch.  Bai Ziyong also returned. 

As soon as he came back, he immediately started praising Jiang Li to Mu Jingxun.  Since Mu Jingxun had witnessed Jiang Li’s ghost-subduing skills before, he wasn’t that disappointed about missing the scene of Jiang Li subduing Sun Wenwen’s ghost.  The other educated youths at the educated youth point also returned one after another.

 After this incident, the older educated youths’ attitudes towards Jiang Li changed completely; they became much more respectful and polite.  After all, Jiang Li had solved a major problem for them, and she was so capable that they might need her help in the future.  It was better to be polite to Jiang Li now, so they could easily ask for her help later.  If they offended Jiang Li now, it would be difficult to ask for help when they encountered difficult problems in the future.

“It’s getting late. Let’s have a simple lunch today. I’ll make some scallion oil noodles.  Do you have any objections?” Jiang Li saw that it was getting late, and subduing the ghost had consumed a lot of her energy, so she didn’t want to spend time preparing a meal at noon and wanted to have a simple lunch. 

Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong had no objections.  They had agreed that the three of them would eat together, and whatever Jiang Li made, they would eat.  And today’s situation was special. Jiang Li had been busy catching ghosts all morning and was definitely exhausted; she certainly didn’t have the energy to cook them a good meal. 

Even if she didn’t cook anything, they wouldn’t have any objections.  “No objections, Sister Li, just do whatever is convenient. We can eat anything.” Jiang Li nodded, “Okay, then let’s have scallion oil noodles.

”  Jiang Li asked Bai Ziyong to pick some scallions, wash them.  They had ready-made dry noodles at home, so they didn’t need to spend time rolling noodles.  Bai Ziyong quickly picked and washed the scallions, and then Jiang Li started to fry the scallion oil.
