Chapter 36 Mu Jingxun and Bai Zirong are too wicked

Li Yuehong, still clinging to Peng Zhigang, said, “Okay, Zhigang, I’ll wait for you to marry me.” Seeing them begin again, Jiang Li found it irritating. She was about to withdraw her spiritual sense when she perceived Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong approaching.  She didn’t want them to see this, but it was too late.

 Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong heard noises and investigated, discovering the couple having sex. The man was Peng Zhigang. Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong felt the same as Jiang Li. Peng Zhigang having sex with other women wasn’t unusual, but he had been fawning over Jiang Li.  Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong were disgusted by his behavior.

 The couple were oblivious, engrossed in their activity. Mu Jingxun’s expression turned cold. He knew what kind of person Peng Zhigang was and would prevent him from getting close to Jiang Li. Bai Ziyong whispered, “Brother Xun, my eyes hurt. I need to wash them later.” Mu Jingxun felt the same. “Let’s go.” Bai Ziyong pulled Mu Jingxun. “Brother Xun, should we ignore them?  This is improper conduct.

Shouldn’t we report them? Peng Zhiqing isn’t a good person. If we leave him be, what if he bothers Jiang Zhiqing again?” Bai Ziyong wouldn’t usually interfere, but Jiang Li was different. Jiang Li, hearing this, was touched. Bai Ziyong cared about her. She wouldn’t let him down. Mu Jingxun frowned. “It’s too late to report them now. By the time we get help, they’ll be finished.” Jiang Li almost laughed. Mu Jingxun was right.

 Peng Zhigang’s performance was short. Bai Ziyong agreed.  But the scene was disgusting. Bai Ziyong had an idea. He crept toward them. Mu Jingxun grabbed him. “What are you doing?” Bai Ziyong whispered, “Brother Xun, I’ll steal their clothes and see what happens.” Mu Jingxun nodded. “I’ll help.” Bai Ziyong was surprised.

 “Brother Xun, when did you become so mischievous?” Mu Jingxun: “…” Jiang Li knew what they were doing and was amused. They were indeed mischievous. Bai Ziyong’s actions weren’t surprising, but Mu Jingxun, who seemed upright, was unexpected.

Peng Zhigang and Li Yuehong were oblivious to their approach.  After stealing the clothes, Bai Ziyong and Mu Jingxun left.

A few minutes later, Peng Zhigang and Li Yuehong finished. Peng Zhigang urged Li Yuehong to leave, but they couldn’t find their clothes. Peng Zhigang panicked.  Li Yuehong was also anxious, but less so.  If their relationship was exposed, it was exposed. They could just get married.  They couldn’t go back naked, so they waited until dark.

Peng Zhigang hoped the other educated youths wouldn’t find them. After seeing this, Jiang Li withdrew her spiritual sense and searched for game. She found two roe deer, three rabbits, two chickens, and a nest of eggs. 

As she was leaving, she heard Bai Ziyong calling for help. “Help! Someone save me! Damn pig, stop chasing me!” Jiang Li located Bai Ziyong and saw a huge wild boar chasing him. She decided to help.

Jiang Li quickly pulled a hatchet from her backpack. Seeing her charge forward, Mu Jingxun pulled her behind him, his voice low and protective. “Be careful! Don’t get close; you might get hurt. I’m a man; I’ll handle it.” Jiang Li’s heart warmed.

Though she didn’t need his protection, she was touched that he would protect her in danger, prioritizing her safety.  She pulled him back. “It’s okay; let me handle it.

I can protect myself and deal with this beast.”  Jiang Li stepped forward, hatchet in hand, toward the wild boar. She leaped, bringing the hatchet down, severing the boar’s neck. She quickly retreated to avoid the blood.

Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong were stunned. Were they seeing things?  Jiang Li, small and slender, had such skill and strength? That was a boar weighing over 300 jin, a fierce animal.

 Yet, she had killed it so easily?  They stared at her, realizing she was extraordinary.
