Chapter 37 Sister Li’s strength is too incredible

After dealing with the boar, Jiang Li saw Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong’s stunned expressions. She raised her eyebrows. Were they scared by her killing the boar?  While she’d been fierce with the boar, she wasn’t like that with her friends. 

Just as she was about to ask them to help carry the boar down, two more boars charged out of the woods. Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong, snapping out of their stupor, looked tense and worried.

 Jiang Li immediately shouted, “Get behind me!” If they hadn’t seen her kill the boar, they might not have obeyed, prioritizing protecting her.

But now, knowing her strength, they knew getting behind her was the best course of action. Seeing them quickly move behind her, Jiang Li smiled approvingly.

She liked people who listened.  Jiang Li gripped her hatchet and charged the two boars.  These were boars—meat!  This would feed the team and earn her merit points. Even a small amount was good.  Her hatchet flew.

The two boars were like helpless chicks, quickly dispatched. Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong were still shocked. They knew Jiang Li was strong, but not this strong. They needed to reassess her abilities.

After killing the two boars, Jiang Li looked at the three large boars, thinking about the meat they would provide.  Carrying them down would be difficult.  She said, “Let’s each carry one. See if you can manage it.” Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong frowned at the 300-jin boars.  300 jin, not 30 jin! They couldn’t carry one each.

Was she trusting them too much or mocking them? Seeing their hesitation, Jiang Li knew they couldn’t manage it. 

She picked the smallest boar (around 200 jin) and said, “Try lifting this together. If you can, we’ll go down. If not, we’ll go down and get help.” They tried lifting it together. 200 jin was still heavy, but they managed it.

“We can lift this together, but there are two more. We need help.”  Before they finished, Jiang Li lifted the other two boars, one on each shoulder—600 jin total—effortlessly. Bai Ziyong’s jaw dropped. Mu Jingxun was equally shocked.

 Was she even human?  They had struggled with a 200-jin boar, yet she effortlessly carried two 300-jin boars. They felt humiliated.  Jiang Li walked ten meters before stopping and looking back. “What are you waiting for? Hurry up!” They quickly caught up. Jiang Li, using a strength-enhancing talisman, felt no strain. 

Without the talisman, the 600 jin would be impossible for most people. Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong struggled with one boar, while Jiang Li effortlessly carried two. They reached the foot of the mountain, and Jiang Li put down the boars, seeing Mu Jingxun and Bai Ziyong were exhausted.  She told them to watch the boars while she got the team leader. 

Bai Ziyong, catching his breath, said, “Brother Xun, how strong is Sister Li? She’s unbelievable! No girl has that much strength. I feel like a waste.” Mu Jingxun felt the same.  Jiang Li was so capable; would she like him? He felt something for her, something he’d never felt before.

 But she was so outstanding; would she choose him if he wasn’t as strong? He clenched his fist; he needed to work harder.

 Jiang Li found Li Changping. Seeing her urgency, he asked, “Jiang Zhiqing, what’s wrong?”  Jiang Li said, “Captain, Mu Zhiqing, Bai Zhiqing, and I encountered some boars…” Before she finished, Li Changping asked, “Are you injured?”
