Chapter 64: Design success, great excitement in the team

The foundation-building pill was potent; Jiang Li felt a surge of spiritual energy after taking one.  More pills would significantly boost her cultivation.  The original body’s foundation was weak, making rapid progress difficult.

 To reach her previous level, she needed several years of cultivation.  She could wait; she planned to accumulate merit during this time.

 After absorbing the pill, Jiang Li sensed subtle noises outside.  Using her spiritual sense, she saw Sun Wenwen sneaking out.  She was up to no good. Jiang Li initially suspected Sun Wenwen was going to drug Mu Jingxun.  But Sun Wenwen was heading towards Jiang Li’s room.

Jiang Li frowned.  She quickly divined Sun Wenwen’s intentions:  she planned to frame Jiang Li by making her sleep with Li Ermazi.  Jiang Li decided to eliminate the threat.  Jiang Li pretended to be asleep. Sun Wenwen approached Jiang Li’s window and slipped a sleeping incense stick through the crack.

 She had bought it in the commune, along with some animal breeding medicine for pigs.  She planned to drug Jiang Li, then give her the pig breeding medicine, and send her to Li Ermazi.  Once they slept together, the whole brigade would know, forcing Jiang Li to marry him.  After confirming Jiang Li was asleep, Sun Wenwen used a knife to unlock the door and entered.  Seeing Jiang Li asleep, Sun Wenwen felt triumphant.

 But as she reached for Jiang Li, Jiang Li opened her eyes.  Sun Wenwen was startled. Before she could react, Jiang Li knocked her unconscious. 

Jiang Li would repay in kind.  She carried the unconscious Sun Wenwen out of the educated youth center and to Li Ermazi’s house. She opened the door, gave Sun Wenwen the pig breeding medicine, and placed her on Li Ermazi’s bed. 

Li Ermazi, half-asleep, felt a woman next to him. Thinking he was dreaming, he started undressing Sun Wenwen. Sun Wenwen woke up, feeling intense heat and weakness.  She couldn’t resist. Jiang Li watched from outside, smirking. She left to get some sleep before the morning’s spectacle.  She returned quietly.

The next morning, the Victory Production Brigade was in an uproar.  Guhua Shen, going to wake Li Ermazi, found the door open and saw Sun Wenwen and her son in bed together. Guhua Shen had previously proposed a marriage, but Sun Wenwen had rejected her son. Now, they had slept together.

Sun Wenwen’s reputation would be ruined; she’d either marry Li Ermazi or go to jail. Guhua Shen was overjoyed at the prospect of gaining a city wife. She shouted loudly, attracting attention. Jiang Li, preparing breakfast, heard Bai Ziyong’s excited shouts, “Sister Jiang, there’s big news! Let’s go!” Jiang Li knew what he meant.

 “Breakfast is ready. Do you want to eat first?” Bai Ziyong shook his head, “Sister Jiang, let’s watch the show first. We can eat breakfast anytime, but we can’t miss this!”  Other educated youths also rushed over.

  When Jiang Li arrived at Li Ermazi’s house, a large crowd had gathered.
