You Must be Crazy! The Young Educated Youth who went to the Countryside turned out to be a Master of Metaphysics Chapter 74

Chapter 74: Possessed by the God of Misfortune, Shit All Over

Fortunately, Jiang Li was quick, and Bai Zirong didn’t have to wait long before lunch was ready. Bai Zirong felt much happier with Jiang Li around.  Yesterday’s dinner, cooked by Mu Jingxun, had been inedible; the difference was too vast.  They ate all of Jiang Li’s chicken and mushroom stew, leaving not a drop of broth.

Just as they finished, Jiang Li saw Liu Yulan being brought back. Her external wounds had been treated, and her leg was in a cast.  She looked quite miserable. But Jiang Li felt no sympathy; Liu Yulan had brought it upon herself.

Liu Yulan was seriously injured and couldn’t work, so Li Changping gave her leave to recuperate at the educated youth center.  While granting leave, Li Changping didn’t hold back his complaints.

Liu Yulan wouldn’t be able to complete her basic work points this year, and the brigade couldn’t let her starve, so they had to provide her with rations.  The thought of another burden on the brigade annoyed Li Changping.

Not only could Liu Yulan not work, but someone also had to take care of her at the educated youth center.  Otherwise, she couldn’t even eat.  So, after Liu Yulan returned, Lin Shuyin called a meeting with the female educated youths to discuss taking turns caring for her.  Worried that they wouldn’t agree, Lin Shuyin added, “We’re all educated youths in this center; we should help each other.

Liu Zhiqing is in trouble, and we can’t ignore her.” Jiang Li found Lin Shuyin’s words absurd. She hadn’t realized Lin Zhiqing had a saintly side. Sun Wenwen directly said, “Lin Zhiqing, I’m getting married soon and won’t be staying here.

I can’t help take care of Liu Zhiqing.” Sun Wenwen, remembering Liu Yulan’s actions, felt cold.  Liu Yulan had eaten so many of her biscuits, but when she was in trouble, Liu Yulan avoided her like the plague. Sun Wenwen felt that Liu Yulan’s current situation was karmic retribution.

Lin Shuyin knew Sun Wenwen wouldn’t be staying long, so she didn’t ask her to help. Jiang Li deliberately said loudly, “I won’t participate either. You guys take care of her. Everyone knows Liu Zhiqing and I don’t get along.

Even if I wanted to, she might not let me.” Jiang Li looked at Liu Yulan and asked, raising her eyebrows, “Liu Zhiqing, do you want me to take care of you?” Liu Yulan, wary of Jiang Li’s uncanny abilities, feared that Jiang Li would secretly mistreat her under the guise of care, shook her head like a rattle, “No, Lin Zhiqing, I don’t want Jiang Zhiqing to take care of me.

”  Both parties were unwilling, leaving Lin Shuyin with no choice. Jiang Li gave Liu Yulan a knowing look. In the afternoon, Jiang Li went to the mountain to collect herbs.

Precious herbs were hard to find, but common ones were plentiful.  Jiang Li found the herbs needed to treat Grandma Yu’s grandson’s pneumonia.  On her way down, she caught a wild rabbit.

She returned to the educated youth center, put the rabbit away, processed the herbs, and then delivered them to Grandma Yu, explaining their usage.  Afterward, Jiang Li returned to the educated youth center.

The educated youths had returned from work. They couldn’t care for Liu Yulan during work hours, only after work.  Without anyone around, Liu Yulan had an accident. Liu Yulan felt incredibly unlucky. She never had diarrhea before, but today, she had a broken leg and diarrhea.  Unable to get up, she soiled herself.

Lin Shuyin was the one assigned to care for her that day. As the head of the female educated youths, she had to set an example.  Upon returning, she found Liu Yulan’s mess, causing her to become distraught.

Lin Shuyin, suppressing her disgust, changed Liu Yulan’s clothes and cleaned her. The other female educated youths, imagining that Liu Yulan might be like this every day, shuddered. They decided to only deliver food to Liu Yulan, refusing to clean up after her. If Lin Shuyin didn’t mind, she could do it alone.

Lin Shuyin wanted to continue her moral appeals, but the experience of cleaning Liu Yulan made her nauseous, and she wanted to quit.  She couldn’t handle cleaning Liu Yulan’s messes. Seeing that the other educated youths didn’t want to help, Liu Yulan complained. If she soiled herself again, she would rot in bed.

But her complaints were useless; only Lin Shuyin cared. Lin Shuyin was the head of the female educated youths. She had a chance to go to college, but the other educated youths didn’t, so they weren’t willing to help Liu Yulan.

Although Lin Shuyin verbally agreed to continue caring for Liu Yulan, she was extremely reluctant and had developed a strong dislike for Liu Yulan. Jiang Li found Liu Yulan’s accident both satisfying and disgusting. Mu Jingxun and Bai Zirong, upon hearing the news, lost their appetites.  For the first time, they didn’t finish Jiang Li’s rabbit stew; there were leftovers. Jiang Li wouldn’t waste the leftover rabbit meat; she would heat it up and eat it tomorrow.

That night, Jiang Li continued her cultivation, refining and absorbing a Foundation Establishment Pill. She didn’t finish until 3 AM.

Although she only slept a few hours, thanks to the pill, Jiang Li felt more refreshed and energetic than usual the next day.

For the next two days, Jiang Li’s life was uneventful. She worked as usual. Liu Yulan, targeted by the bad luck talisman, couldn’t even rest in bed.  She soiled herself multiple times, fell off the kang (heated bed) and knocked out a tooth, and almost choked while eating.

The educated youth center thought Liu Yulan was cursed; otherwise, why would she be so unlucky? Liu Yulan was nearly driven mad, crying constantly. She felt Jiang Li was responsible but couldn’t find any evidence.

Liu Yulan had finally learned her lesson. Although she had suffered setbacks at Jiang Li’s hands before, she had always been reckless and tried to retaliate. This experience had completely sobered her up.  Jiang Li was someone she couldn’t provoke.
