Chapter 5: Annulment

Seeing the two at a stalemate, Su Yi didn’t mind adding fuel to the fire.

“Comrade Bai, Brother Qin has set aside his pride for you, publicly acknowledged his feelings for you. He has taken ninety-nine steps towards you. Why won’t you take that final step towards him? Is he really not worthy of your genuine affection?”

“Brother Qin, it’s not that I don’t want to help you two, but comrade Bai is refusing to admit it. Are you being impulsive?”

Faced with Su Yi’s questioning, Qin Yunfeng began to waver.

Su Yi couldn’t help but lift her eyes to look over and realized it was the military man who had saved her?

His surname was Zhou?

The man before her had a tall stature, a handsome appearance, and stood out in the crowd.

A perfect male lead candidate.

[Could he be Zhou Jinchuan?!]

Zhou Jinchuan paused and walked up to Su Yi, “Hello, I’m Zhou Jinchuan, the captain here. Is there something you need?”

Su Yi’s mind buzzed.

Before she could respond, the eager onlookers explained the situation to him.

After listening, Zhou Jinchuan nodded, “I see. Find two people to take them to Commissar Wang for handling. It’s not appropriate for them to block the entrance like this.”

Xie Xiaojun, who had just finished the car handover, also hurried over to see what was happening.

Seeing Captain Zhou taking charge, he promptly led the three individuals to Commissar Wang’s office.

Internally, Su Yi was still reeling from the revelation about Zhou Jinchuan as they walked silently.

Su Yi glanced at Zhou Jinchuan’s back and then at Bai Ruolin and Qin Yunfeng.

If she could be reborn after Bai Ruolin and Qin Yunfeng’s marriage, it wouldn’t be in vain for Su Yi to promote them outside for so long.

Xie Xiaojun led the three individuals into the office.

As soon as Commissar Wang asked what was going on, before Bai Ruolin could speak, Xie Xiaojun quickly interjected, providing a swift report.

Su Yi sneered, “I’ve already made myself clear in front of so many people outside. Repeating it all over again would be redundant.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Commissar Wang looked disapprovingly at Su Yi.

Then, she looked at Qin Yunfeng and Bai Ruolin, “As I mentioned earlier, I have no intention of making things difficult for you. If you clarify the situation, provide me with an annulment document, I can return home and explain to my parents.”

Observing her calm demeanor contrasted with the guilty looks of the other two, Commissar Wang began to understand the situation.

With Zhou Jinchuan as her support and her reasonable and gracious request, the situation became clear.

Realizing that there was no need to continue blaming anyone, Commissar Wang decided that it was best to have the two write the annulment document and send them on their way.

After making up his mind, Commissar Wang subtly reprimanded the two, and they both agreed.

Su Yi inwardly chuckled, feeling indifferent. She didn’t expect this unfamiliar Commissar Wang would swiftly dismiss the two.

It was evident to discerning eyes that he was Bai Ruolin’s ally.

Afraid that Su Yi might change her mind, Qin Yunfeng immediately asked for paper and pen to begin writing. However, before he could start, Su Yi interrupted, “Let me speak, you write! You should write that due to having mutual feelings with Comrade Bai Ruolin, so—”

Qin Yunfeng’s pen paused, looking at Su Yi in disbelief.

Quickly, Su Yi glanced at Commissar Wang as if seeking help.

Commissar Wang tapped his fingers on the table, implying, “Comrade Su doesn’t know how to write, right? Don’t try to deceive her.”

Qin Yunfeng who was about to deceive her understood instantly.

Su Yi heard Qin Yunfeng’s pen stop and teasingly said, “I’ve learned quite a few words in the past two years, so don’t try to deceive me! If there’s a single mistake, you’ll have to rewrite it.”

Qin Yunfeng’s heart sank, realizing the reason behind her significant transformation.

Well, for now, he would go along with her plan and figure out how to win her back later.

Meanwhile, Bai Ruolin seethed at the sight of her name on the document.

Despite her anger, at this stage, she just wanted to get rid of Su Yi as soon as possible. As for the annulment document, she planned to have it discreetly retrieved on the way.

Once Su Yi left, she could work on restoring her reputation.

After all, public opinion was easily swayed; if you say something enough times, even lies become truth.

Watching Qin Yunfeng finish writing, Su Yi tapped the final blank space and instructed, “Sign your name here.”

Annoyed, Qin Yunfeng clenched the pen in his hand but eventually signed the document.

As he handed it over to her, he felt a pang of reluctance. After two years, she had become even more beautiful.

 However, he quickly regained his composure and mockingly asked, “Su Yi, are you satisfied now?”
