I followed the guild master to the second floor and went into his room. 

“Well… It’s been a while, Guild Master. I think it’s been a month since I came here to bring a request from the knight?”

“…….. Yeah, that’s right.”

The guild master nodded at my word and then the guild master didn’t say anything more. The two of us fell into silence. 

“…… What’s your aim? What are you trying to do?”

The guild master asked, his hands were trembling slightly. 

“Ah, well… I don’t think it’s something you need to be nervous about though.”

I said so while chuckling at the guild master. 

“Do you remember? I’ve always said that I wanted to go on a journey since a long time ago, didn’t I?”

“Ah, right. I did hear you say that you wanted to be an adventurer….”

“I’m just putting my wish into reality…. It’s just, when I said I’m going to resign from the knight, Alaine-san said she’s going to follow me…. It’s not that we’re here to steal information from the guild or here on some sort of mission. Really… I’m also wondering why Alaine-san is coming with me.”

“I-I see….”

The guild master nodded at my words. 

“Now then, let’s go down straight to the business. Here, any party in the adventurers’ guild needs to have a priest in it, but that’s not obligatory, right?”

“……..That’s just the official stance. It’s actually obligatory.”

“You’re right but it’s still not obligatory. It’s just an unspoken agreement. Then in terms of the rules, there’s no problem if there’s an irregular case like us. I think it’s a good thing for the guild to have me and Alaine-san working as an adventurer, right?”

“…. Well, that’s true.”

“I don’t need any liability. But maybe, if we really need to have a priest with us then we will just go travel around the world without being an adventurer. Maybe we might become criminals too.”

“……!!!!”

The guild master stiffened upon hearing my answer. Me and Alaine-san were anomalies in various ways. Even if we became criminals and on the wanted list all over the world, we didn’t have anything to be worried about. There was nothing that could win against the two of us. We were really an anomaly. 

“So how is it? Are you going to let us become adventurers or not? Which will you choose?”

“……… Fine. From now on, the two of you are adventurers.”

The guild master’s head hung low as he said that. Negotiation was meaningless against anomalies like us. 

“Okay. Thanks.”

I stood up from my seat. 

“Sorry. I just can’t let you get the information you want. Bye.”

“Wha-?!”

The guild master stiffened again upon hearing the words I said right before I left the room.

Hmm…  Just how do they get in contact with each other when they’re far from each other? Do they have something like a smartphone? There is still a lot about magic that I don’t know yet.
