Chapter 76 : 宋知许好凶，还打人

Song Zhi Xu is so fierce, he even hit someone

“Ran Ran.” When Song Zhi Xu saw Lin Ran fall forward, he panicked and without even thinking, he lunged over to prevent Lin Ran from bumping ahead.

Because the incident happened so suddenly, Song Zhi Xu didn’t even remember that Lin Ran was wearing a seat belt.

Lin Ran was okay but the water in the fish bowl spilled all over their body. One turtle fell out of the bowl. The turtle was lying on the floor with its shell facing downwards and its limbs retracted into its shells in fear.

“Ran Ran, are you okay? Did you get hurt? Are you scared?” Song Zhi Xu let go of Lin Ran and anxiously went to look at him.

Lin Ran nodded gently and said in a low voice,

“Ran Ran was scared for a while. The water…the water spilled too.” Some parts of Lin Ran’s clothes were already wet, he felt somehow cold.

Song Zhi Xu hurriedly took off his own outer coat to cover Lin Ran’s body and kissed him to soothe him for a while before looking out with a gloomy gaze.

The company’s vice president who had been fired a few days ago, was standing in front of Song Zhi Xu’s car somewhat timidly and took a step back in fear when he met Song Zhi Xu’s gaze, but still gritted his teeth and did not leave.

Song Zhi Xu gently touched the top of Lin Ran’s hair, then opened the car door and got out, with a cold face, walking in front of the vice president.

This is the first time that the vice president saw this kind of Song Zhi Xu, he swallowed his saliva hard before he brace himself and said,

“Song… Mr. Song, I came here today especially to look for you, to apologize for what happened the other day, but with that secretary, I really broke off with her a long time ago. I also did not expect that she would frighten your person, you see, this matter can not implicate me…”

“Who told you to block the car?” Song Zhi Xu’s cold voice suddenly spoke.

“…. Director Song,” The vice president still wanted to explain, but before he could finish his sentence, Song Zhi Xu smashed his fist into his face.

“Who told you to block the car? Did you know that my car almost crashed into it? and there were still people inside. If you are looking for death then change into another place.” Song Zhi Xu was really angry. Lin Ran had just come out of the hospital yesterday, and today he was scared because of it, moreover he still had a baby in his stomach.

He punched the vice president several times, causing his nose to bleed and his eyes to bruise. The person even sat on the ground, did not get up for a while.

It was work time, so many people came to the entrance of the company and unconsciously they stopped to watch.

Lin Ran was sitting in the car with red eyes. He was somewhat worried and anxious because Song Zhi Xu was fighting with someone. He wanted to get out of the car but there were many people outside so he was afraid.

Lin Ran could only tremble as he stay in the car.

Only when Song Zhi Xu’s hands were covered in blood did Lin Ran unbuckle his seat belt and get out of the car, his voice trembling as he called out, “Song Zhi Xu.”

There was a lot of low chatter sound around him, but Lin Ran’s voice was accurately caught by Song Zhi Xu, who suddenly stopped as he came back to his senses. He then looked into Lin Ran’s direction. 

Lin Ran’s clothes were half wet, he was holding a small fish bowl with little water in it, his body was still trembling and his eyes were red. He called his name with a touch of caution. He looked at him, but seemed afraid to come closer.

It was only then that Song Zhi Xu suddenly realized that he must have scared Lin Ran by being like this.

He immediately put away the coldness in his face and returned to his usual gentleness when facing Lin Ran, calling out, “Ran Ran.”

Lin Ran’s tears finally flowed down uncontrollably, and he quickly ran to Song Zhi Xu and threw his head into his embrace.

The way Song Zhi Xu looked just now really scared him. He was even more scared than when he was in the car just now. He had never seen Song Zhi Xu hit anyone before and it was a bit scary. Song Zhi Xu never treated him that way.

Song Zhi Xu caught Lin Ran and lifted him upwards in his arms. He let him stay firmly in his arms, only then he glanced indifferently at the vice president who was still sitting on the ground and stepped forward.

When he reached the entrance guard’s room, he said indifferently to the doorkeeper. 

“Take my car to the parking lot and don’t allow this kind of person to be seen near the company again.”

The two security guards hurriedly nodded before Song Zhi Xu carried Lin Ran, who was lying on his shoulders, into the building.

Song Zhi Xu had never shied away from his affair with Lin Ran, not to mention the fact that so many people at the entrance had seen them and there was nothing to hide. Song Zhi Xu carried Lin Ran up the lift and went all the way back to his office.

After placing Lin Ran on the sofa, Song Zhi Xu gently touched Lin Ran’s cheek and initiated the conversation.

“Ran Ran, just now, have you picked up Xiao Guai that fell on the floor?”

Lin Ran nodded his head and held the small fish bowl for Song Zhi Xu to see, while he said in a low voice,

“The one that fell on the floor is Xiao Guai’s wife, Ran Ran picked it up.” Both turtles were in the fish bowl, but there was no water in the bowl and both turtles had shrunken into their shells, as if what had just happened had scared them too.

Song Zhi Xu smiled, “Ran Ran is so great, I can’t tell which one is Xiao Guai and which one is his wife even after looking at it, for so many times.”

Lin Ran was not amused by Song Zhi Xu’s praise this time, but he put the fish bowl aside and went to take Song Zhi Xu’s hand. He then said in a small voice, 

“Song Zhi Xu’s hand…It’s bleeding.”

Lin Ran took his hand, the back of Song Zhi Xu’s hand was still covered with a smear of red blood that had dried.

Song Zhi Xu was stunned, smiled and showed him that there was no wound at all on the back of his hand.

“Ran Ran, I’m not hurt, I just got a little bit of that man’s nosebleed. I’m going to wash it off right away then it’ll be gone.”

Lin Ran was still a bit unconvinced and followed Song Zhi Xu to see for himself that he had washed it off and there was really no wound on the back of his hand, only then did Lin Ran feel relieved and a smile finally appeared on his face.

He took initiative to leaned into Song Zhi Xu’s arms, his voice was still a little nasal. He looked so pitiful as he said in a small voice, “Song Zhi Xu, just now Ran Ran was scared, Song Zhi Xu is so fierce and even hit people, Song Zhi Xu has never been like this before.”

Song Zhi Xu also knew that he had lost control of himself for a moment and he had scared Lin Ran. He hurriedly took Lin Ran into his embrace and lightly patted his back.

“It’s my fault, I was just a little angry because I almost hit someone. Baby, I won’t do it again, don’t be afraid, okay?”

Lin Ran, from Song Zhi Xu’s arms, tilted his head and looked at him for a moment. He nodded lightly, after a moment, Lin Ran stood on his tiptoes again and raised his head to kiss Song Zhi Xu on the chin.

“Hn, Ran Ran isn’t afraid of Song Zhi Xu, but Song Zhi Xu can’t be like that anymore.” Song Zhi Xu, who was vicious and hitting people, was unfamiliar to Lin Ran. He didn’t like that kind of Song Zhi Xu.

Song Zhi Xu nodded his head and quietly let out a sigh of relief as he carried Lin Ran back to the sofa and put him into his embrace, reaching into his clothes and gently touching his belly as if to soothe the baby in his belly.

The two of them sat on the sofa for a while. The office door was suddenly knocked on from the outside and the assistant came in. He didn’t dare to look at the two of them, lowering his head as he said, 

“Boss, we have a regular meeting this morning, it’s almost time, should we go now?”

Song Zhi Xu looked at Lin Ran in his arms, who had just cried and had a little redness at the end of his eyes. When he heard that the meeting was going to take place, Lin Ran’s hand had subconsciously grabbed the hem of his shirt, afraid that Song Zhi Xu would leave.

Song Zhi Xu sighed and raised his head toward his assistant.

“Let every branch staff meeting discuss it among themselves first, I’ll be there in half an hour.”

“Okay.” The assistant agreed and left again.

Lin Ran bit his lip and asked in a small voice, 

“Is Song Zhi Xu going to be busy?”

“Hn.” Although he couldn’t bear to leave Lin Ran by himself, Song Zhi Xu indeed did have some things to do and be busy with, also the company had a lot of things on his plate now, so he couldn’t just ignore them, “Ran Ran, can you promise that you will wait for me in the office with the assistant? I’ll help you change your clothes first, okay?”

“Okay.” Lin Ran nodded his head.

Because of the water in the fish bowl his clothes and Song Zhi Xu’s clothes were both wet, and it was a bit uncomfortable to wear them.

Song Zhi Xu took Lin Ran back to the lounge and put him naked on the bed, wrapped him in a quilt before he went to the wardrobe to choose clothes and let Lin Ran see which one he wanted to wear.

In the office, sometimes there are unexpected social engagements so Song Zhi Xu had clothes ready in the lounge. Although Lin Ran hadn’t come here many times before, Song Zhi Xu had put Lin Ran’s clothes in the wardrobe, together with his own. Now it’s time to use them too.

Lin Ran chose an outfit and asked Song Zhi Xu to put it on him, while Song Zhi Xu himself also changed his clothes.

He took the tablet and found a cartoon that Lin Ran liked. Song Zhi Xu stayed with him for a while, only after seeing that it was about time to get ready then he went to the meeting.

Lin Ran obediently let him go, only telling Song Zhi Xu to come back home earlier, therefore he did not pester him anymore.

Song Zhi Xu agreed, filled a small fish tank with water, brought it into the lounge, put it on the bedside table, and called his assistant into the office. He sat in the outer room, looking at Lin Ran, only then he went to the meeting without worrying.

The meeting went on until noon, when Song Zhi Xu saw that it was almost time for Lin Ran to have lunch, only then he stopped. What was left unsaid, will continue this afternoon.

Lin Ran was pregnant recently and easily got hungry, so he could not delay his lunch time. 

Back in the office, the assistant moved a desk at the door and sat down to work. Only when Song Zhi Xu entered, then he stood up.

“Where’s Ran Ran?” Song Zhi Xu asked.

“He’s in the lounge. He hasn’t come out yet, so I’m guarding at the door.” The assistant said unhesitatingly, afraid that he couldn’t keep watch, so he let Lin Ran go, therefore he sat at the door without daring to move.

“Okay, you can leave. Order the food according to the recipe and have them delivered later.” Song Zhi Xu nodded his head.

The assistant agreed to leave.

When he walked into the lounge, there was still a cartoon playing on the tablet, but Lin Ran was already asleep on the bed while hugging the blanket. 

Song Zhi Xu sat on the edge of the bed and watched Lin Ran for a while, waiting until the lunch was delivered, fearing that he would be hungry if he woke up late, only then he wake him up in a low voice,

Lin Ran looked at Song Zhi Xu, rubbed his head into his embrace, leaned on him and quietly looked at him.

Lin Ran was awake for a while and had some energy before he obediently let Song Zhi Xu carry him to the sofa outside and sit down, eating his own meal.

Before the two of them had finished their lunch, the assistant came knocking on their door again, as if he was going to speak and stop. With a hesitant look on his face, he then whispered, 

“Boss, there’s a policeman outside looking for you.”
