After several years of arduous preparation, he finally came to this point. Taking a deep breath Byron snapped his fingers.
A crimson red lizard-shaped monster body appeared out of thin air. It had no scales or skin, and was replaced by a trembling crimson shell.
Underneath the shell were countless air holes that kept opening and closing, from which a few wisps of pitch-black colored fire would pop out every now and then.
The “Chaos Seed” corpse was dependent on the Lord of Ashes, with disaster-level strength.
The sight of the monster made Shen Yi feel nauseous from the bottom of his heart. This disgust was not because of his appearance but as if he had seen the enemy.
This was Byron’s sacrifice…it made his scalp numb at first glance, compared to this, that little girl was much better…
Although from the morning contact, the man named Byron did not look like a heinous person.
To be frank, Shen Yi didn’t even have the slightest idea of letting others know his true identity and seeking help to decide his fate.
As long as he could play off without “breaking the pattern” until the end of the summoning time nothing would go wrong.
Shen Yi opened his mouth as calmly as he could, but subconsciously he took a deep breath and immediately endured it.
”Foolish mortals, I accept the sacrifice you prepared.”
Just as he finished speaking, the corpse of the monster began to collapse inward, and then it shrunk further, until it was the size of a seed.
He was taken aback for a moment and saw the dark red seed flying towards him, stopping one meter in front of him.
He reached out and picked up the seed, feeling a warm heat in his palm.
Fortunately, this Byron’s service was considerate that he didn’t need to drag the corpse by himself.
——
Byron’s spirit was lifted, and the huge corpse of the Chaos Seed flew out of thin air, and gradually disappeared into the endless white mist.
It was as if it had been swallowed whole, not even a remnant remained.
Obviously, the White Mist across the shore had accepted his sacrifice.
The wish he’d been pursuing for several years was finally going to be fulfilled.
”My wish is to be able to resurrect my daughter.”
He recounted his wish again.
Anything else was fine, except for this one thing that Byron wanted to achieve no matter what. At any cost.
Shen Yi could sense that Byron loves his daughter deeply. This feeling was very deep and thick, and the emotions that penetrate the deepest part of the bloodline could not be cut off.
He still didn’t know who Byron was, but he knew that calling a god outside the world might be his last hope.
But he was a fake…It was destined to completely shatter the remaining hope.
~I’m sorry, Mr. Byron, I don’t have the ability to resurrect your daughter.
He didn’t have the power to rescue the opponent, so he could only think of a way to let himself leave smoothly.
According to the book “The Origin of Gods Beyond the World”, he already knew that “The White Mist across the Shore” and “The Lord of Ashes” were completely different gods.
There were eight kinds of different things in the world, namely “lamp”, “moth”, “blade”, “heart”, “cup”, “cast”, “Enlightenment” and “winter”.
The Lord of Ashes was a god outside the world with a nature of “cup”.
”Cup” was the norm of birth and feast, food, color, sex, and drowning without return. He would give his food as a reward.
But The White Mist across the Shore was a god outside the world whose nature was “Enlightenment”.
”Enlightenment” was the criterion for opening and dismantling, which does not allow for closure and isolation, but joyfully pushes us out of the shelter of ignorance.
He would give knowledge to those who care, and initiate new cognitions as rewards or punishments.
Therefore, wizards like to summon the “White Mist across the Shore” to satisfy their insatiable desire for knowledge.
Shen Yi had a spectrum in his heart, acting as the “White Mist across the Shore”, he should give knowledge as the reward that Byron wants.
But what knowledge did he have for each other? Shen Yi didn’t know any invisible techniques at all.
The so-called invisible art was the “powers” used by wizards to influence the world. In short, they were magic spells in a broad sense.
After pondering for a long time he realized there was one more very important sentence in the book.
”Most of the humans could not understand the knowledge that the ‘White Mist across the Shore’ had given, the exploration of life may have accelerated the pursuit of madness and destruction.”
Incomprehensible knowledge, as long as it was knowledge that he couldn’t understand, but he thought it was good enough.
Shen Yi had a thought for an article that the other party could not verify, and it was absolutely deep and stylized enough to temporarily shake the middle aged man in front of him.
If he summons himself next time and asks why he hadn’t been able to comprehend the mysterious power and resurrect his daughter, then he could say that he was lacking in enlightenment.
After thinking about everything, he spoke calmly.
”To fulfill your desire to teach you more profound knowledge of the taboos of Shangxuan. As long as you understand this taboo, you can resurrect your beloved.”
The famous novel “Shangxuan” from the ages flowed out of Shen Yi’s mouth, was only in the Nolan language version, and it sounded a little bit more unclear.
Of course he knew that there was no use in escape, but this article had depth and artistic conception, which could be used as “incomprehensible mystical knowledge” to fool the other party.
If Byron asks, why couldn’t he figure out a way to save his daughter no matter how he understands this article?
’The knowledge of the gods outside the world is difficult for mortals to understand… he can explain it this way or even not explain it at all.’
Also, Shen Yi’s heart beat a little faster. He was afraid that the other party would not eat this set, and questioned the “Knowledge of the Mysticism of the Shangxuan System” that he taught was nonsense.
But soon he was relieved, because Byron stood still on the spot with a shocked expression, he was obviously convinced from the bottom of his heart.
Byron was indeed shocked.
His mind was presented with an indescribable, unspeakable mass of information, as if thousands of imprecise words, arranged in random combinations, and finally organized into an unforgettable piece of forbidden knowledge.
This taboo knowledge called “Beyond the Fetters” reveals the duality of soul and body.
The soul and body need not be united, but only transcending the secular material, body, and information can let the soul be freed from all shackles.
He just felt his soul separate from the material, separate from the old body, detached from all things, independent. After the physical restraints were dispelled, he could naturally swim in the world…
It took a long time for him to come back to his senses, his face was already drenched in sweat.
He had just experienced an amazing journey that no one had ever experienced.
He took out the handkerchief from his pocket and gently wiped the sweat on his forehead.
”I actually have a chance to get this…”
The “Beyond the Fetters” gave Byron a brand new understanding of the relationship between the body and the soul.
Resurrecting his daughter was no longer a difficult task, and more enlightenment came to his heart.
The ultimate goal of the ancient taboo knowledge of “Beyond the Fetters” was not to be resurrected, but to allow the enlightened person to obtain what mortals dream of… the soul is eternal!
This was also a kind of real immortality.
He deeply understands that if this knowledge spreads out, it could stir up a huge wave around the world, and countless powerful people and forces will fight for this.
Not only wars would break out. It might even overturn the whole world!
How cursed is the cause and effect of the disconnectedness of the ages! How could I let it be born from the world!
”Could it be that this is his deeper purpose! Instead of just teaching me to bring back the dead, but put this level of knowledge into my hands.”
Thinking of this, Byron broke out in a cold sweat that soaked his black suit, and he immediately made up his mind that he could not let this forbidden knowledge pass out even if he died.
Just after Byron made up his mind, he found that the wave of white mist had begun to recede.
He was not surprised that the summoning of the gods from beyond the world had a time limit.
The time had come to an end.
”It’s over…” He breathed a sigh of relief.
Finally being able to resurrect his daughter, Byron was extremely excited. He covered his head and closed his eyes. His nearly fifty-year-old body was also shaking, hot tears streaming down his firm face.
After a long period of excitement, an idea sprouted from the bottom of Byron’s heart without warning.
”If, just if, you call Him again, you can get the same, even greater knowledge…”
Byron himself hadn’t noticed at all, the fascinated expression he showed.
