Please stop summoning me Chapter 108 The Corpse is Talking

Shen Yi and Byron left the Beland Imperial Academy together and boarded the red double-decker bus, which was heading toward the outskirts of Beland.

It was not that they didn’t want to perform here, but summoning a powerful spirit within the city would inevitably attract the attention of investigators.

Upon getting on the bus, Byron with his keen eyes had been secretly observing this ‘messenger of God’ who belonged to the “White Mist on the Other Side”.

He looked just as mysterious as he always had. But he seems to be a little more mysterious than I thought.

It wasn’t as if Byron hadn’t looked into everything, instead quickly found out about the cafe. Because those legends were still widely circulated in Beland’s Riworld.

After he came into contact with George, he stumbled upon a startling revelation that the “messenger of God” and the “chess player” they had come into contact with were looking somewhat different, but they seemed to be the same person.

Armed with this fresh insight, doubts slowly crept into Byron’s mind regarding Shen Yi’s true persona.

Was this guy really just a simple messenger of God?

Before he could comprehend, George disclosed a piece of earth-shattering information, which rocked Byron to his core – that the “chess player” not only had the aura of the “White Mist on the other side”, but even had the aura of the “Lord of Ashes”.

And he was also in close contact with the Chaos Remnant Order.

Byron’s disbelief was palpable as he struggled to come to terms with the unsettling truth.

This turn of events seemed to defy all conventional understanding of mysticism, striking at the heart of what he thought he knew about mysticism and the cosmic balance of power.

The eternal conflict between these otherworldly beings was a fundamental tenet of mysticism, ingrained in the fabric of the universe.

As long as a wizard with occult knowledge knows very well, that the “White Mist” and the “Lord of Ashes” were mortal enemies since the dawn of time. These entities had waged a ceaseless battle across the vast expanse of the infinite universe long before the rise of human civilization.

Even if one of the invisible techniques of one of the Extra-Terrestrial Gods was used, it would affect the effect of the invisible technique of the other Extra-Terrestrial God.

But the “Chess Player” could emit the aura of these two Extra-Terrestrial Gods.

He couldn’t possibly be the divine messenger of the White Mist and the Lord of Ashes, could he?

It was hard to imagine what kind of existence he really was.

Byron was so shocked that he didn’t know how to think or guess, finally came up with only one conclusion, which was to try not to provoke this terrifying existence as much as possible.

“It is unpredictable, unguessable, and impossible to resist.”

After resurrecting his daughter, he had become much weaker.

Byron shook his head rather mockingly.

The red bus crossed a road and came to the next street.

Sitting by the window, Shen Yi overheard a conversation amongst passengers about the today’s speech.

The man said, “Councilman John, it’s Mayor John now. He seems to be better than the previous ones. At least he gives better assurances to people.”

The man next to him shook his head and said, “Maybe, if he really live up to his promise.”

“But he’s already in his seventies, so he might not be able to stay for long.”

Listening to the varying opinions on John, Shen Yi noted that there were many positive comments, a stark departure from the typical cynicism associated with political figures.

But, there was a widespread belief that high-ranking MPs were a$&#*@s.

Shen Yi recalled John’s face and the corner of his lips twitched slightly. No one could have imagined that he…was actually a member of the Chaos Remnant Order.

After a long bus ride, they finally arrived at the destination.

Shen Yi rose to his feet and spoke in a calm tone.

“We are here.”

Byron without a word followed suit and stood up.

The two got off the red bus at the downtown edge of the city.

Compared to the crowded morning encounters, there were fewer passersby here, especially when a group headed for a speech.

Shen Yi used atomization to easily pass through the city wall, and then Byron also used the invisibility technique.

He opened a dark brown “door” on the ground, revealing a ninety-degree inclined entrance to the Beland suburb.

Byron passed through this door into the suburb of Beland and continued walking until they came to a secluded alley.

Approaching the alley’s end, Byron expertly pulled open a discreet “door,” cleverly blending into the surroundings, and walked in first, followed by Shen Yi.

The room behind the inconspicuous door greeted them with an expansive space filled with an array of alchemical equipment and a fascinating collection of magical materials, setting the stage for their next phase of the mission.

Of course, it was not Byron’s home.

There was an old saying from Xuan, “A cunning rabbit has three burrows.” Byron’s cunningness surpassed even that of the clever rabbit, as he prepared a series of double-digit “caves” in advance. He designed many “doors” both inside and outside the city of Beland, and each “door” is a unique enclosed space.

Obviously, before he made up his mind to get in touch with forbidden knowledge, Byron had already thought of the possibility of being wanted by the Anti-Magic Bureau.

Shen Yi on the side, spoke softly.

“Let’s get started.”

“Um.”

With a resolute nod, Byron walked into an unobstructed area, squatted down, and began to draw using a unique enchanting paint, one specifically designed for casting an imperceptible spell.
