Yuan Xi glanced at the time and then at Fu Yunzhou who was still focused on his papers. He felt conflicted about whether he should remind him that it was already lunchtime.

After a moment of silence, Yuan Xi decided to wait another half hour. If Fu Yunzhou still hadn’t realized it was time to eat, then he would… cry in front of his crush?

Fu Yunzhou frowned at the sudden interruption, but his expression softened slightly when he met Yuan Xi’s gaze. “Give me the documents back. I’ll finish up and then we can go eat. Are you hungry? You can eat first if you want.”

Yuan Xi took a few steps back, dodging Fu Yunzhou’s hand, and glared at him disapprovingly.

“We need to eat now! You have a sensitive stomach, and if you wait too long, you’ll end up with a stomachache.”

Yuan Xi hid the documents behind his back, refusing to give Fu Yunzhou any chance to reclaim them. Noticing Fu Yunzhou’s determination to continue working, Yuan Xi switched to his “mothering” mode.

Fu Yunzhou glanced back at Yuan Xi with a hint of exasperation wanting to pull him closer so they could walk side by side, but Yuan Xi dodged him.

“Please, Manager, you go ahead. I’ll just wait back here.” Yuan Xi insisted, taking a few steps back to firmly convey his stance.

After noticing that Yuan Xi truly had no intention of walking alongside him, Fu Yunzhou turned and walked ahead.

The cafeteria at Xingyao Entertainment occupied an entire floor dedicated to employees’ meals. To accommodate everyone’s tastes, the restaurant’s decor and chefs were specially selected.

However, the cafeteria wasn’t very crowded in the entertainment industry, it was rare for people to remain at the company for long.

After all, celebrities had work to do—whether it was commercials, variety shows, movies, or dramas, it couldn’t all be done at the office.

“Why don’t you head back to the office? I can grab something for you and bring it up?” he suggested.

Fu Yunzhou initially wanted to refuse, but after seeing the number of people and the chaotic atmosphere, he eventually nodded. “Alright, I’ll wait for you upstairs.”

Once Fu Yunzhou left, Yuan Xi approached the counter.

There were many interns, all of whom were there for their first day, resulting in a complete lack of order.

Groups of two or three gathered together, discussing their experiences, and the noise created by so many voices made everything feel especially chaotic.

A few boys passing by overheard him and turned back to glance at Yuan Xi. Seeing his small stature and appearance, they couldn’t help but stifle their laughter.
