Transmigrated as the Lord’s Darling Pet
Transmigrated as the Lord’s Darling Pet Chapter 13 part 1

Although there wasn’t much information, Fu Yunzhou was completely absorbed in his work, to the point of neglecting his meals. By noon, he was still deeply engrossed in the documents in front of him.

Yuan Xi glanced at the time and then at Fu Yunzhou who was still focused on his papers. He felt conflicted about whether he should remind him that it was already lunchtime.

After a moment of silence, Yuan Xi decided to wait another half hour. If Fu Yunzhou still hadn’t realized it was time to eat, then he would… cry in front of his crush?

Startled by his own thoughts, Yuan Xi fell silent again and returned to the documents in his hands.

As time passed, Fu Yunzhou showed no signs of stopping for lunch while Yuan Xi’s stomach began to protest, rumbling incessantly.

Looking up at Fu Yunzhou, who seemed oblivious to the time, Yuan Xi pursed his lips in annoyance.

He quickly approached Fu Yunzhou’s desk and snatched the documents from his hands. “It’s time to clock out! We’re going to eat, Yunzhou!”

Fu Yunzhou frowned at the sudden interruption, but his expression softened slightly when he met Yuan Xi’s gaze. “Give me the documents back. I’ll finish up and then we can go eat. Are you hungry? You can eat first if you want.”

Yuan Xi took a few steps back, dodging Fu Yunzhou’s hand, and glared at him disapprovingly.

“We need to eat now! You have a sensitive stomach, and if you wait too long, you’ll end up with a stomachache.”

Yuan Xi hid the documents behind his back, refusing to give Fu Yunzhou any chance to reclaim them. Noticing Fu Yunzhou’s determination to continue working, Yuan Xi switched to his “mothering” mode.

After spending time with Fu Yunzhou, Yuan Xi had figured out his weak spots. He knew that as long as he kept rambling, Fu Yunzhou would eventually give in.

So, seeing Fu Yunzhou being stubborn, Yuan Xi decided to deploy his secret weapon.

The moment Fu Yunzhou saw Yuan Xi’s expression, he realized he was about to endure another round of nagging.

In the next moment, Yuan Xi started listing the downsides of skipping meals and the various stomach issues that could arise.

Fu Yunzhou rubbed his temples, setting down his pen. After about three minutes, he abruptly stood up.

“Let’s go eat.”

Seeing Fu Yunzhou rise and put on his coat, Yuan Xi bit his lip, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

It wasn’t until Fu Yunzhou stepped out from behind the desk that Yuan Xi placed the folder on the table.

Yuan Xi followed closely behind Fu Yunzhou, taking careful steps as if afraid he might suddenly run off.

Fu Yunzhou glanced back at Yuan Xi with a hint of exasperation wanting to pull him closer so they could walk side by side, but Yuan Xi dodged him.

“Please, Manager, you go ahead. I’ll just wait back here.” Yuan Xi insisted, taking a few steps back to firmly convey his stance.

After noticing that Yuan Xi truly had no intention of walking alongside him, Fu Yunzhou turned and walked ahead.

The cafeteria at Xingyao Entertainment occupied an entire floor dedicated to employees’ meals. To accommodate everyone’s tastes, the restaurant’s decor and chefs were specially selected.

However, the cafeteria wasn’t very crowded in the entertainment industry, it was rare for people to remain at the company for long.

After all, celebrities had work to do—whether it was commercials, variety shows, movies, or dramas, it couldn’t all be done at the office.

Nonetheless, today the cafeteria was busier than usual due to a number of interns coming in for interviews.

Fu Yunzhou who preferred quieter places, couldn’t help but frown at the sight of the bustling crowd in the cafeteria.

As they reached the entrance of the cafeteria, Yuan Xi had already caught up to Fu Yunzhou’s side, quickly noticing his expression.

After glancing at the crowd inside the cafeteria and then back at Fu Yunzhou’s face, Yuan Xi realized that Fu Yunzhou probably disliked places that were too crowded.

“Why don’t you head back to the office? I can grab something for you and bring it up?” he suggested.

Fu Yunzhou initially wanted to refuse, but after seeing the number of people and the chaotic atmosphere, he eventually nodded. “Alright, I’ll wait for you upstairs.”

Once Fu Yunzhou left, Yuan Xi approached the counter.

There were many interns, all of whom were there for their first day, resulting in a complete lack of order.

Groups of two or three gathered together, discussing their experiences, and the noise created by so many voices made everything feel especially chaotic.

Yuan Xi glanced at the energetic young men around him and couldn’t help but sigh. “Why do I have to have such a baby face? Walking with them, it’s impossible to showcase my majestic aura!”

A few boys passing by overheard him and turned back to glance at Yuan Xi. Seeing his small stature and appearance, they couldn’t help but stifle their laughter.
