“Mom, Yuan Xi doesn’t even know who I really am. I only told him that my grandfather had close ties with the Fu family and contributed to their rise. He has no idea my surname is Fu.” Fu Yunzhou explained patiently.

Shen Xiyun rubbed her chin thoughtfully before breaking into a delighted smile. “Then your father and I can play along with your little act! That way, we’ll get a better sense of what kind of person Yuan Xi really is. By the way, where does Yuan Xi work? What’s his work environment like?”

Fu Yunzhou froze for a moment, caught off guard by the sudden change in topic.
