Actually, what even Yu Yu hadn’t expected was that the mission of the country this time was to meet the legendary divine figure and confirm their identity.
They didn’t want to startle the snake and make such a talented individual leave for another country and become an enemy of Hua Country due to their excessive actions. So, Chen Xing and San’er were not stopped along the way and arrived at Yu Yu’s doorstep without any hindrance.
At this moment, Yu Yu had just finished doing her makeup and was waiting quietly in her room. Her room was quite spacious, a one hundred square meter apartment all to herself. Due to the nature of her work, the state provided her with this apartment, and apart from the occasional visits from state personnel, hardly anyone else had been here.
She had been working for the country since she was ten years old, which meant she barely had any friends. She didn’t particularly like the people in her state unit, who seemed extravagant to her. She couldn’t understand why programmers would indulge in so much frivolity. So, her friends were her computer and the strings of code on it. And San’er might be considered her first and only friend in a certain sense.
Therefore, Yu Yu was somewhat looking forward to San’er’s arrival but also a bit nervous. Even though they had chatted online for a long time, she was still curious about what San’er was like in real life.
“Knock, knock…”
The sound of knocking suddenly rang out. San’er’s voice came from outside the door, “Yu Yu~ Cough, cough… I’m here!”
Upon hearing this voice, Yu Yu’s lips instinctively curled upwards. He had finally arrived, and she didn’t know why she was smiling. In any case, she felt very happy. However, she didn’t say anything but walked lightly to the door. She gently opened it.
San’er’s eyes immediately lit up with anticipation, while Chen Xing remained expressionless throughout. Fate had its own cycle, and today, was it finally his turn to eat dog food?
Subsequently, a beautiful and clean-faced Yu Yu, standing at around 1.7 meters tall, with slightly flushed cheeks, appeared before the two. She was wearing a retro-style dark red dress with white polka dots, and her hair was elegantly tied up, emphasizing her delicate facial features.
She exuded a sense of classical charm, like a beautiful young lady from the ancient age.
San’er was momentarily captivated by her beauty, and Chen Xing, noticing San’er’s demented expression, couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly as he whispered, “Wake up, you’re staring like a pervert.”
“Eh…” San’er heard Chen Xing’s voice and snapped out of his daze. He stood at the doorway, gazing at Yu Yu.
Seeing him looking at her like that, Yu Yu’s face blushed slightly, and she couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. What’s wrong? Does he think I look vastly different from my photos? But he looks exactly like his picture, and he’s quite handsome…
“You…” San’er looked at Yu Yu hesitatingly.
Yu Yu smiled gently, “What’s the matter?”
San’er asked, “Why aren’t you wearing the black stockings and uniform?”
Chen Xing: ???
Yu Yu: ???
“We agreed on it before! Why aren’t you wearing…”
Yu Yu was at a loss for words, “I never agreed to that! Who said I did?”
San’er, the steel straight man, immediately furrowed his brow, “Hey… how can you deceive people like this?”
“I want the black stockings! I want the uniform!”
He didn’t want the cute and demure type; he wanted the dominatrix in black stockings!
Chen Xing, standing nearby, was bewildered, looking at San’er with surprise. Are you sure you don’t have some kind of social awkwardness problem? Won’t you be seen as a pervert like this?
Yu Yu, witnessing San’er’s behavior, was also left speechless. She never expected that the mastermind behind the scenes, who had dominated the internet and caused a global sensation, would turn out to be such an immature grown-up boy, and even a little bit… peculiar.
The contrast between his online persona and real-life behavior was just too stark, leaving her unsure of what to say.
Mainly, it was because San’er was usually in the system, where he spoke without filters, saying whatever came to his mind since only Chen Xing was listening. He hadn’t switched roles in time, so he continued in the same manner.
Soon, he realized that maybe this behavior wasn’t entirely appropriate. He silently asked Chen Xing, “Uh, was I a bit weird just now?”
Chen Xing replied, “Just a little bit.”
“Oh, that’s good then!”
San’er then laughed and said, “Cough… I was just joking, hehe…”
Seeing him finally change the subject, Yu Yu playfully teased, “If you want, you can see it next time if you have the chance?”
“Sure! No problem!”
“Haha…”
Yu Yu glanced at Chen Xing. At San’er’s request, Chen Xing had dressed in a plain manner, mainly to accentuate San’er.
Seeing Yu Yu look at Chen Xing, San’er quickly introduced him, “This is Master Chen, the housekeeper and chef at my house that I mentioned before!”
Upon hearing this, Yu Yu didn’t look down on Chen Xing due to his status. Instead, she politely greeted, “Hello.”
Chen Xing, seeing her politeness, reciprocated, “Hello.”
“You may come in~” Yu Yu said, gesturing for them to enter her room.
Subsequently, San’er and Chen Xing followed Yu Yu into the room. It was spacious and tidy.
Yu Yu walked to the sofa and said, “Feel free to sit anywhere.”
San’er and Chen Xing went over to the sofa and sat down simultaneously.
Suddenly, San’er felt something was off. He looked at Chen Xing and communicated silently, “Bro! You’re the housekeeper! Why are you sitting? Go cook!”
Chen Xing: =.=
“Sorry, I forgot!”
Seeing the two of them exchanging passionate glances, Yu Yu was filled with question marks: ??? What’s going on with these two?
“Cough…” San’er quickly cleared his throat and raised his head, saying, “Little Chen, go cook, make your signature dishes.”
Chen Xing gave in gracefully, “Okay, sir!”
He walked toward the kitchen. After he went in, San’er said to Yu Yu, “You can tell him what you’d like to eat. He can cook anything.”
Yu Yu smiled and shook her head, “No need, Chef, you can make whatever you like. I’ll eat anything.”
Chen Xing nodded without saying a word and went straight into the kitchen.
Once he was inside, Yu Yu smiled and looked at San’er, “Your chef seems a bit aloof…”
San’er felt awkward and laughed it off, “Ahem, he’s always like that. He doesn’t talk much usually, but he makes really delicious food.”
Yu Yu nodded, “I’ll look forward to it.”
Then, these two found themselves in another awkward silence.
Strangely, they could chat endlessly online, but in real life, it seemed they had nothing to say to each other.
Yu Yu was so embarrassed that she almost dug out the three bedrooms and one living room with her feet!
Internally: Gosh, this is so awkward… Say something! Aren’t you usually quite talkative?!
San’er was equally desperate: Why has it become like this? No, I have to say something… Let me think.
Just as he was about to speak, a long sigh came from the kitchen behind San’er, from Chen Xing, “Ah…”
San’er: “…”
Yu Yu heard it and curiously looked towards the kitchen.
“Sigh..” Another sigh sounded.
He was sighing like crazy!
San’er: ???
Yu Yu: ???
What’s wrong with this chef…
Why is he getting depressed while cooking?
