An Chen’s people scattered in all directions, leaving him bewildered. He took a mournful look at his deceased elephant before turning to flee.
Chen Luo muttered under his breath, “Even if you escape, your name will be reversed.”
As a precaution, the Dog Killer was deployed.
The thunderbolt King had been unable to contain himself; the elephant’s points had been stolen, a significant loss. Catching An Chen would surely earn the Dog Killer a hundred points, at the very least.
The thunderbolt King was currently the only Level 5, making him incomparable to others in the group.
The scene was chaotic, and An Chen managed to blend into the crowd, eluding the thunderbolt King’s immediate grasp.
Chen Luo remained unperturbed, knowing that with the Dog Killer on the hunt, there was no way An Chen could escape. The thunderbolt King could track by scent, and escaping him was harder than outrunning a car.
Once the Thunderbolt King locked onto a target, there was no escape.
Chen Luo instructed, “Dig out the crystal from the elephant, then bury it.”
Chen Guang suggested, “Don’t. Isn’t it a waste of meat?”
Chen Luo glanced at him and replied, “This elephant has eaten meat.”
Chen Guang was first puzzled, then he realized the absurdity of the situation. Who would think about meat at a time like this? And what kind of meat could it possibly be?
Some might dare to eat it, but no one in Chen Luo’s group was willing to.
The crystal from the elephant was eventually found. It was extremely durable, even more so than the flesh of beings at the same level. It was so tough that even Mi Ling couldn’t destroy it.
The size and energy contained in this crystal were similar to those found in zombie crystals.
As the Thunderbolt King chased from behind, An Chen was alarmed. He spotted a small path nearby and, in his panic, immediately chose to take this path.
Little did he know that two grim reapers had been waiting for him.
During An Chen’s journey, the two wolves had been following him, biding their time for revenge. Since the vehicles weren’t traveling at full speed and often stopped, the two wolves managed to keep up.
They never expected that An Chen would run right into the location where they were lurking.
The white-furred wolf, almost like a silver wolf, was driven by intense hatred when it saw An Chen running in their direction, making it unable to contain its anger any longer.
This time, with the absence of the elephant, it was the perfect opportunity for revenge. They couldn’t afford to miss it, as they had no idea when another opportunity would arise.
Since the elephant had died, they had been following An Chen from a distance. Their view was obstructed by many people, so they were unaware of what exactly had happened.
The silver wolf and the gray wolf seized the opportunity and pounced on An Chen simultaneously. One clamped onto An Chen’s arm and started tearing, while the other aimed for An Chen’s throat.
However, it was unfortunate for these two wolves. They didn’t possess any crystals and were still at the second level, while An Chen, though a naturalist, was at the third level. His strength outweighed that of the two wolves.
The two wolves didn’t gain the upper hand immediately.
The Thunderbolt King arrived at the scene.
The Thunderbolt King had sensed that something unusual was happening in this direction, but he wasn’t too surprised. Most importantly, it was all about accumulating points.
His master hadn’t specified that the target needed to stay alive, and the Dog Killer had never spared anyone.
The Thunderbolt King leaped high into the air and delivered a powerful slap to An Chen’s head, instantly ending his life.
The two wolves were momentarily confused and stared in horror at the Thunderbolt King. After confirming the strength behind that strike, they realized they had provoked a dog they couldn’t handle.
The Thunderbolt King looked at the silver wolf with great interest. There was still a hint of excitement on the wolf’s face.
“Looks like you’re quite handsome,” the Thunderbolt King remarked.
The two wolves promptly fled. The Thunderbolt King didn’t bother with the gray wolf and pounced on the silver wolf. The silver wolf tried to retaliate by biting back, but with its teeth, could it really harm a fifth-level Thunderbolt King?
The Thunderbolt King didn’t pay much attention to the situation and felt a bit itchy.
The gray wolf, witnessing its companion being captured, turned back and emitted a fierce growl from its throat.
The Thunderbolt King narrowed his eyes and instantly identified that the gray wolf was a male. What’s this, trying to compete with this elder for a mate?
The silver wolf struggled violently but couldn’t break free from the Thunderbolt King’s grip, and it remained pinned down.
Seeing that a large group of people had arrived, the silver wolf became even more panicked, but there was nothing it could do.
The gray wolf, out of concern for its companion, surprisingly didn’t flee and attempted to intimidate others since it couldn’t scare the Thunderbolt King away.
“Two dogs?”
“It looks more like wolves.”
“Plus a rare white wolf.”
“Dog Elder, did you catch these? Truly impressive!”
The Thunderbolt King’s canine face beamed with a smile. Did you hear that? I’m the Dog Elder, superior to all.
Upon hearing that there were two wolves, Chen Luo rushed over.
Another silver wolf?
Upon arriving, Chen Luo noticed that the Thunderbolt King seemed quite fond of the silver wolf, causing him to narrow his eyes.
Is the Thunderbolt King interested in this wolf?
“Since the Thunderbolt King caught it, should I deduct some points from him?”
The silver wolf continued to resist.
The Thunderbolt King wondered, why won’t it just submit to me?
Having spent some time around Chen Luo, the Thunderbolt King had witnessed firsthand how Chen Luo had won over Mi Li.
To have a companion, you must first conquer its heart.
The Thunderbolt King quickly had an idea.
He barked a few times, then got up and rushed toward the villa area, using a flash of lightning to save time.
With so many people around, they couldn’t let these two escape.
In less than a minute, the Thunderbolt King returned with Xiao Hong in his mouth.
Xiao Hong had long since stopped struggling against the Thunderbolt King.
It had once resisted too, but it was futile.
Seeing this dog, Xiao Hong just wanted to die.
The Thunderbolt King threw Xiao Hong at the feet of the silver wolf, looking entirely friendly.
Hungry, aren’t you? I’ve brought you some food.
Chickens are naturally afraid of wild animals. When Xiao Hong saw the two wolves, its eyes widened, and it felt like its soul was about to depart.
Are you trying to feed me to the wolves, Thunderbolt King? Listen to me, don’t do it!
Chen Luo finally understood. The Thunderbolt King was using Xiao Hong to win over the silver wolf?
You’re really something, Thunderbolt King. Do you have enough points for this? She’s the only chicken that lays eggs.
What surprised Chen Luo was that when Xiao Hong saw him, it was like seeing a savior.
Xiao Hong laid three eggs in place, to the astonishment of everyone present. In their shocked gazes, it laid three eggs in a row.
Xiao Hong looked at Chen Luo imploringly, conveying the message: “I still have value; I can lay eggs.”
Seeing Chen Luo looking at her, Xiao Hong laid another egg, as if saying, “Please don’t feed me to the wolves.”
Chen Luo scratched his chin, wondering if, under the threat of life and death, Xiao Hong had somehow grasped the skill of laying eggs.
Chen Luo quickly grabbed Xiao Hong, rescuing her from the wolf’s mouth, and handed her over to Su Dazhu.
The Thunderbolt King looked pitifully at Chen Luo, unsure of who was more important, him or Xiao Hong.
Chen Luo shook his head, carrying one in each hand, like holding a pair of little puppies, and brought the two wolves back to the base.
The two wolves grew desperate. The Silver Wolf attacked Chen Luo with a bright yellow energy projectile, while the Gray Wolf used earth spikes.
Chen Luo was somewhat surprised, realizing that the Silver Wolf was of the Light element. He wondered about its innate abilities.
Using the small truck equipped with iron claws from their previous encounter, Chen Luo locked the wolves inside.
The Thunderbolt King wagged his tail as if asking, “What’s your point?”
Chen Luo scolded them without reservation, “Look at what you just did! You acted like a complete lapdog. You’ve tarnished my image. You can’t win them over with gentleness. They admire strength, so if they don’t listen, you fight them until they submit, or you use brute force to get your way. You turn raw rice into cooked rice.”
The Thunderbolt King stared at Chen Luo in astonishment, thinking, “You truly are my master.”
