Chapter 29 3/3
Although, as the months increased, the career degree of both would surely continue to rise, and currently, it seems that the higher the degree, the more the lifespan multiplier. However, that was all a matter for the future.
Right now, only three months don’t seem very stable.
Sheng Quan thought and told 006: 【I want to do something big.】
006 immediately expressed support: 【I support!】
After expressing support, it suddenly remembered to ask, 【How does the host want to do something big?】
Sheng Quan replied, 【I want to find someone who can quickly increase their career degree in the short term.】
Neither Yan Huai nor Jin Jiu’s professions could make their career degrees skyrocket to over 80% in one night. Jin Jiu, who was 46 years old, might be able to do it, and Yan Huai, in his forties, might also, but currently, the younger versions of them still needed to accumulate bit by bit.
So, what profession could quickly boost someone’s career degree?
Sheng Quan had been thinking about this for several days, and 006 had already issued new task funds.
This time, it wasn’t as exaggerated, considering the limitations of the network. It was just a plain 40 million.
However, adding this $40 million to the feedback funds she already had, it was still a significant sum, not to be underestimated wherever it went.
She didn’t rush to decide on a sponsored person but began extensive professional screening. She needed someone related to the entertainment industry, as that was currently her biggest advantage as a transmigrator.
Sheng Dong was very busy.
She thought while soaking in hot springs, eating snacks, swimming in her private pool, and even during massages and spa treatments.
On the fifth day, even during her meal, she was still thinking. Just as she was thinking, her phone suddenly rang.
Looking at the name, it was Lin Aike.
Right, Yu Xiangwan had mentioned that she was about to finish filming, so it must be a greeting call after finishing.
Then they should have a meal together and go shopping.
In a good mood, Sheng Quan answered the call. As soon as she answered, she heard Lin Aike’s anxious voice with a hint of sobbing.
“Sheng Dong, I’m at Room 1195 of Ronghui Hotel in Shanghai. Please help me. I can’t get through to the company; they are doing it on purpose. They’ve betrayed me. I don’t dare to call the police. If I get caught by the paparazzi, they will definitely write false reports. I can only seek your help, Sheng Dong.”
The tall man standing guard outside suddenly heard a swear word from inside.
He had been with her for so long, and the only time he heard her swear was when she was upset over a character’s death in a drama.
Obviously, Sheng Quan wasn’t watching a drama right now.
Because she had walked out with a cold face and a fierce momentum: “Go to the Ronghui Hotel.”
“Jiang Ge, do you have any colleagues who can keep a tight lip? I want to hire them to help me make a scene.”
The big brother driver, Jiang Lu, sitting in the driver’s seat, looked back at Sheng Quan and said, “Miss Sheng, fighting is against the law.”
“I know, it’s just to make a scene.” Sheng Quan was calm and didn’t lose her rationality: “These people bully the weak and fear the strong. Once I show up, they probably won’t want to do anything.”
Of course, one couldn’t always think positively; it was also essential to consider the less favorable possibilities.
So she was making preparations now, wasn’t she?
After confirming that Sheng Quan really wanted to make a scene, Jiang Lu took out his phone and said, “The time is tight, and the people I call may not be many. I’ll try my best.”
Half an hour later
Sheng Quan looked at the gathering of at least a dozen burly men below the Ronghui Hotel, silent for two seconds.
Someone even brought a bag and handed it over to Jiang Lu, who passed it to Sheng Quan. He whispered, “It’s several sets of women’s clothes.”
Sheng Quan: “Thank you. If the matter is resolved, I’ll reimburse you three times.”
She was so focused on coming quickly that she didn’t even think about this. Fortunately, Jiang Lu bought them.
The big brother driver is always considerate.
The hotel staff noticed the gathering situation and started to inquire. Before Sheng Quan could speak, Jiang Lu skillfully stepped forward and said something. I don’t know what he said, but the other party hesitated and let them pass.
After getting into the elevator, Sheng Quan asked him, “What did you tell them?”
Jiang Lu spoke in a low voice. “I told them we were here to catch an affair, a domestic matter that we’ll handle internally.”
“Hotels have always preferred not to get involved in extra matters. As long as guests don’t cause trouble or damage hotel property, they generally won’t interfere, at most gossiping behind the scenes.”
As he spoke, he seemed to suddenly remember that he was working at Junyue Hotel and added, “It’s just a regular hotel that handles things this way. You can rest assured of the privacy and security of Junyue Hotel.”
Sheng Quan said, “Rest assured, them sending you by my side makes me feel very reassured.”
This guy wasn’t just a driver; he was an all-around bodyguard.
Room 1195 was indeed a suite, just as Lin Aike had mentioned on the phone.
At the door, Jiang Lu signaled for them to stay behind. The well-trained group of people found a concealed spot out of sight from the peephole. He went up alone and knocked on the door.
Someone inside asked, “Who is it?”
The voice sounded irritable and impatient.
Jiang Lu’s original voice was deep, but for some reason, his response sounded much lighter: “Hello, we found Miss Lin’s phone. We’ve been receiving calls looking for her, and as soon as we discovered it, we brought it to you.”
The male voice inside paused for a moment. After two seconds, the door opened.
As soon as he poked his head out, Jiang Lu forcefully pushed, knocking the entire door open. The group of people streamed in, and when Sheng Quan also entered, he turned around and closed the door with a backward push.
Sheng Quan also saw the scene inside the room. In the living room were three people: a middle-aged man and two skinny-looking bodyguards. There was also a camera on the side.
The two bodyguards were standing at the entrance of a room, seemingly trying to figure out how to open the door. There were clear marks of being kicked on the door, and judging from the broken vase shards on the ground, one of them had been fiercely hit on the head with a vase.
She breathed a sigh of relief.
Although she had kept in touch with them, she could only be truly relieved when she saw that Lin Aike was safe with her own eyes.
The middle-aged man was stunned for a moment. He first looked a bit intimidated at the room full of burly men, then quickly locked onto Sheng Quan, the only one who didn’t look like she could fight. He should have been drinking, completely not recognizing Sheng Quan. If Jiang Lu hadn’t said anything and was leveraging the alcohol, he staggered forward.
“What are you doing? Robbery? In broad daylight, in the clear sky…”
His hand was just about to touch Sheng Quan’s shoulder, and Sheng Quan was about to kick him to oblivion when Jiang Lu directly kneed him. He kicked the guy, sending him flying over a meter away.
This kick miraculously cured his drunkenness, instantly understanding the situation.
He moaned on the ground, calling out in pain, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Don’t hit me. I didn’t do anything. I was just scaring them.”
Sheng Quan looked at Jiang Lu, who had casually put his leg down, and said, “Didn’t you say it’s illegal?”
Jiang Lu said in a deep voice, “It’s not illegal.”
“This is being a good Samaritan.”
