For an eleven-year-old child, the odds of survival were grim.
Thinking this, the person in charge scanned through the Star Net pages and furrowed their brow.
This contaminated planet belonged to the Empire. As soon as the ruins revived, the signal station stationed here reported to the Imperial military. Even if other forces had seized the opportunity, the nearest Imperial Legion stationed here would surely send reinforcements.
Just two years ago, the Third Legion had established a base on a nearby planet. In theory, they could arrive within an hour. But this time, it had been half a day since the incident was reported, and they hadn’t received any news of the Third Legion’s arrival. The person in charge of communication only said that there weren’t enough troops available.
“It’s really strange. At a time like this, the Empire suddenly withdraws all its forces. It can’t be that they discovered a wormhole in this place, right?” The person in charge shook their head, no longer dwelling on it.
The next moment, they suddenly froze in place.
The latest Star Net message showed that three minutes ago, a breaking news story had flooded the star network’s major pages, skyrocketing to the top of the trending list.
Not only them, but many people on the star port also saw this prominently pushed news.
“Holy shit! Look at the news!”
The square erupted in lively discussion in an instant.
Without a doubt, at this very moment, the same thing was happening on any random planet in the stars. Countless views and visits
The heat immediately propelled it to the top of the hot search list, adorned with a red-hot label.
Why? Simply because of the headline.
“SSS-level fugitive, former Empire’s future star, Haidongqing, has been confirmed arrested.”
Half a day ago, at the 1999th Star, Third Legion outpost.
Earlier, the Third Legion outpost received an encrypted message from an informant.
The Legion receives encrypted messages every day, but this one garnered high attention and was directly delivered to the desk of the Major General of the outpost.
The Major General furrowed his brow, showing great concern for this message. He immediately called Wei Wenwei.
“We have information on Haidongqing’s movements. You will lead the team there immediately, while I contact the higher-ups. We cannot afford any mistakes!”
Wei Wenwei looked up abruptly and nodded, “Yes, sir!”
Two years ago, the Empire’s Third Legion established an outpost on this remote planet, located in the outskirts of the Empire’s star system. They did so because the Luminous Temple successfully traced the location of the divine relic.
It was widely known that the relic was with Haidongqing. To avoid alerting him, they laid down numerous obstructions, such as spreading false information, and secretly stationed themselves here.
Fortunately, the Legion’s presence did not raise any suspicions. Along the way, the Luminous Temple made another significant effort and paid a high price to locate Haidongqing, confirming that he was still on this remote star.
Now, after two years of hard work, they had finally made some progress.
Wei Wen immediately gathered his subordinates and headed to the 1999th Star security office.
The information provided by the informant this time was quite simple, with only a case number from the security office and four cryptic words: “Those who know, know.”
“F01927884.”
It was widely known that anyone who committed a crime on the 1999th Star would have their DNA recorded at the security office. Wei Wenwei had checked it before when the Third Legion took over the security office. However, despite catching a glimpse of it at the entrance not long ago, he had returned empty-handed.
On one hand, as a Saint-level individual, Haidongqing would not make such a foolish mistake of leaving his DNA at the security office. On the other hand, with his own strength, there were very few in the entire Empire who could harm him. How could he willingly go to the security office and leave his record?
“Is this really an F-level case?”
Wei Wenwei furrowed his brow, showing extreme skepticism towards this unreliable intelligence.
He didn’t believe that the famous Haidongqing would make such a mistake. During his period of evading capture, he had fled to this remote, polluted star, planning to seek revenge against the Empire. He wasn’t foolish enough to leave his DNA at the security office over some trivial F-level matter.
“Major! We found it! The genetic comparison is a staggering 99.8%! It is indeed Haidongqing’s DNA!”
Wei Wenwei: “Huh?”
He turned around abruptly, walked forward, and switched the display screen in front of the security officer.
On the light blue screen, the results of the genetic comparison were clearly displayed.
Underneath, the file card honestly stated the incident address, the reason for the fight, and the name.
Name: Pai Daxing
Incident Address: 976th Street, in front of the tavern
Reason for the Fight: The complainant insulted Pai Daxing’s daughter with disrespectful language, provoking him to the point where Pai Daxing took action, leading to a physical altercation (later, the complainant was unilaterally beaten). Upon receiving the report, he was arrested on charges of public fighting.
Just as Wei Wenwei was holding the file and doubting his life choices, his subordinate brought over another piece of news.
“Report, Major! We found this name in the Empire’s welfare account! The DNA is a perfect match! It rules out the possibility of someone impersonating him!” His fingers rapidly danced across the holographic screen. “We’ve retrieved the photos and videos from the day of the incident and confirmed that it is indeed HaiDongqing himself through system comparison!”
