The scene of commotion at the end of the line naturally didn’t escape the attention of the instructor group following along the way.
The big shots of the Third Legion and the top brass from both academies were sitting in the office, having tea and discussing the post-training staff arrangements.
The Empire Academy’s top brass outnumbered the Silver Star’s, leaving Zuo Zitao alone.
Midway through their conversation, Feng Bai received a communication request from Instructor Niu.
“What’s the matter?” he asked.
“Vice Commander, close combat major students from the Silver Star have started helping support majors reduce their weights.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Wei Wenwei, standing nearby, chuckled. “Rare indeed. It’s only the first day, and these youngsters have already figured it out. Looks like the Silver Star freshmen are pretty quick-witted.”
The support majors naturally had weaker stamina than other groups, and proper training could enhance their physical endurance. However, the current training tasks were significantly beyond the limits they could bear.
Everything was just as Yuan Hanshuang had speculated; the instructors did it intentionally.
They intentionally divided the students into the Silver Star Group and the Empire Group, deliberately creating conflicts between the two groups by exploiting the order of their arrivals. This straightforward provocation aimed to foster a sense of belonging to their respective academies among the new students.
The method was simple but effective.
If things progressed as planned, the Silver Star Group would gradually realize that their overall strength couldn’t compete with the Empire Group. If this continued, they would be the ones running an extra lap every day.
Under the pressure of punishment, the Silver Star Group had to brainstorm and find solutions. At this point, all it took was for someone to notice that the weighted wristbands could be taken off.
Within ten seconds of re-wearing the wristbands, no alarms would sound. The instructor group subtly hinted a few phrases, and students with better stamina would voluntarily extend a helping hand to their lagging teammates, taking off the weighted wristbands and achieving a collective unity goal through cooperation, ensuring everyone progressed together.
This method was an old trick of the Empire Legion, employed every year with new recruits. It was an effective means of quickly integrating them into the collective, tried and true.
“No, Captain! It’s different from what we imagined!”
Unexpectedly, on the communicator, Niu Hu’s voice sounded particularly distressed, “Indeed, there are close combat majors offering assistance to the support majors, but that close combat major, she’s actually charging money!”
“Charging money?” Wei Wenwei didn’t quite understand for a moment, “Charging for what?”
“She’s advertising, taking orders, and charging money to help solve the ten-kilogram weight problem.”
All the big shots present: ???
*Cough, cough.* Left Zitao, who was sipping tea, choked.
Unethical, but truly amusing.
Could their Silver Star Academy freshmen produce such talent?
To conceal his slightly upturned mouth, he suppressed his laughter and said, “Cough, this Silver Star freshman does have economic acumen.”
Indeed, she had economic acumen! What was originally mutual assistance had been twisted into a monetary transaction. It was practically losing the original intention of unity and friendship, turning a friendly gesture into a transaction filled with the smell of money!
“No need to panic.”
This time, it was Feng Bai who spoke, “Even if that student can take orders, at most, she can only carry two weighted wristbands.”
Speaking up to this point, he also felt a bit troubled, “Now, what we need to consider is how to curb this trend. We must not let it influence other students to follow suit.”
Niu Hu fell silent for a moment, then said, “No, Vice Commander, you guessed wrong. That student is already wearing seven weighted wristbands, and it seems she still has some strength left.”
Indeed, she still had some strength left.
Yuan Hanshuang had taken five orders, including her own weighted wristband, for a total of six.
The six wristbands were arranged on her two wrists like nested dolls.
With such a sudden increase in weight, her footsteps had indeed slowed down considerably.
The support major who initially approached her for orders was almost scared out of his wits.
“Uh, classmate, are you still okay?”
“Of course! Why wouldn’t I be?” Yuan Hanshuang looked at him with confusion.
“No, I mean, it looks like you can’t run anymore.”
“Oh, this amount of weight is nothing; I still have a long way to go. Don’t worry.”
With that, the black-haired girl with twin tails stopped beside a flowerbed and rolled up the pant legs of her camouflage uniform.
What surprised everyone around her was that on those slender and fair ankles, there were already several weighted wristbands wrapped around. Moreover, judging by their style, they were not the uniform ones issued during military training.
Yuan Hanshuang effortlessly removed those extra weighted wristbands and tossed them into her storage button.
As a master of ancient martial arts, how could she not have the habit of carrying weights with her at all times?
Ever since she could walk in this lifetime, Yuan Hanshuang had consciously trained herself.
It’s all thanks to the perseverance and unwavering dedication back then; otherwise, she wouldn’t be where she is today.
No wonder I make money!
She moved her limbs in place. “If nothing unexpected happens, I should be able to take a few more orders. Any takers, bosses?”
The surrounding onlookers were astonished.
Somebody: Stunned in amazement.
Meanwhile, at the Empire’s First Military Academy.
Each elite academy would have a separate area designated for the chief.
For instance, the Empire Military Academy had a dedicated building used exclusively for the chief of each department and the academy president. It included a meeting room, independent office spaces, a leisure area, and a practice room.
Inside the president’s office, a silver-haired youth stood next to a transparent glass window.
Behind him, the Archangel Gabriel folded its wings and floated quietly in the air.
When summoned as a Manifestation form, Gabriel’s face remained blurry, enveloped in a halo of light. With Luo Jia’s advancement, it was gradually taking on the appearance of a four-winged angel, not far from its peak form as a six-winged Seraphim.
Luo Jia lowered his gaze, and his vast mental power unfolded like ripples, looking down below the window.
There, a new student in camouflage was tirelessly running circles around the two academies.
“Do you feel it, Gabriel? It’s the aura of mythological Manifestation.”
