Easy To Deceive
Easy To Deceive chapter 14

That night, Qi Wang first went to buy a light bulb and helped Yu Nian fix the light in his room.

Yu Nian didn’t know anything, so he could only hold a flashlight on the side.

He watched Qi Wang skillfully remove the buckle, unplug the wires, and work efficiently without any delay, and he couldn’t help but feel the same admiration as Song Yunchun.

Indeed, a man who was good at household chores.

He thought to himself, feeling a bit amused, and just a few minutes later, he heard Qi Wang say, “Done.”

Qi Wang jumped down from the table and flicked the switch back on.

With a snap, the room lit up again as bright as day.

The sudden increase in brightness was a bit dazzling.

Yu Nian squinted his eyes and silently gave Qi Wang a thumbs up.

Sitting in the now bright room, Yu Nian called Mr. Zhang on the business card.

“…Yes, Mr. Zhang, I would like to try a class first,” Yu Nian said without beating around the bush, “To be honest, I don’t have any teaching experience, and I’m afraid I might ruin the good seedling in your family. You also need to get to know me. If the first class doesn’t work out, you don’t have to pay me.”

Mr. Zhang laughed on the other end, “That won’t happen. You must be paid the salary you deserve. You don’t need to teach him anything. We’ll find a main teacher for him later. You just need to accompany him in practicing the piano.”

Feeling more reassured after hearing this, Yu Nian agreed. He was just accompanying the prince to study.

Mr. Zhang gave Yu Nian the address.

Dinghe Garden.

It was a high-end residential area in City C.

Qi Wang watched as Yu Nian quickly noted down the address, and he couldn’t help but feel a bit strange.

He thought that Yu Nian, being a sheltered flower, would soon grow tired of the hardships outside and would return home before long.

But Yu Nian’s work attitude had always been very upright, whether it was working in the restaurant or this time going to accompany someone. He didn’t seem like he was just trying out life temporarily.

As he thought about it, with nothing else to do, he subconsciously lit a cigarette.

But as the smoke rose, he suddenly remembered that this wasn’t his own room.

Fortunately, the window was wide open, so he wasn’t worried about bothering Yu Nian. He was about to put out the cigarette when he heard Yu Nian cheering from the other side.

He paused, looking up.

Yu Nian was originally sitting cross-legged by the window, but now he stood up, ran over to him, and sat back down, presenting something like a treasure to him, saying, “I’ll try the class this Sunday. Can you accompany me at 3 p.m.?”

Yu Nian was a bit embarrassed, after all, it might take up Qi Wang’s time.

But he really wanted someone to accompany him.

Feeling a bit odd, Qi Wang said, “I’m available.”

Since both Yu Nian and Qi Wang had Sundays off, it wasn’t a problem.

Yu Nian couldn’t help but smile, revealing the dimples on his face.

“You’re really nice,” Yu Nian said, his voice unintentionally carrying a bit of dependence on someone close, like how he talked to his siblings at home.

Qi Wang chuckled meaningfully again.

This kid really was like a child.

This was the second time today he had heard Yu Nian say this.

He thought to himself, thanks to Song Yunchun’s request, he was here to keep Yu Nian out of trouble.

If he were a bad person, Yu Nian, who was so defenseless, would really be sold and have to count the money for others.

“What do you mean by nice,” he said, “Is your standard for people really this low? Is it enough for me to buy you breakfast and accompany you out?”

Yu Nian wrinkled his nose.

He didn’t know what he remembered, and he smiled helplessly, “But that’s already very nice. Not everyone is willing to spend time with others, and some people, even if I don’t do anything, they still treat me badly.”

As Yu Nian spoke, his eyelashes drooped, and a hint of sadness flashed across his face.

But soon, he smiled again, staring at the cigarette in Qi Wang’s hand that hadn’t been put out.

“You actually smoke?” he looked genuinely surprised, “I’ve never seen you smoke before.”

“Yeah.”

Seeing that Yu Nian didn’t mind, Qi Wang didn’t rush to put out the cigarette. He just flicked the ash into the trash can.

He said, “I don’t smoke in the restaurant.”

Yu Nian looked at Qi Wang thoughtfully.

After a while, he leaned closer to him, bringing them a bit closer.

The newly replaced light bulb in the room seemed a bit too bright, illuminating everything vividly.

Yu Nian blinked his eyelashes, his fair face as pale as the moon, his soft pink lips exceptionally tender.

Curiously, he asked Qi Wang, “What does smoking taste like?”

Qi Wang paused, looking at him.

Surprised, he asked, “You’ve never smoked before?”

Yu Nian shook his head honestly.

Although there were indeed students in their high school who secretly smoked, some even did more extreme things like fighting and racing, he was a good boy who followed the rules.

Well, mainly because his family was strict.

But after being obedient for over a decade, now that he had left school and the control of his family, he had quietly grown a bit rebellious and wanted to try everything.

Pushing his luck, he asked Qi Wang, “Can I have one?”

Qi Wang glanced at him.

He definitely didn’t want to give him one. Even though they were only two years apart, Yu Nian looked so obedient and gentle, clean and polite, like he came from a well-educated family.

He didn’t want to corrupt him.

But Yu Nian looked at him eagerly, full of curiosity.

After some thought, he eventually handed over the cigarette.

“You can have one puff, and that’s it, don’t touch it afterward.”

His voice, whether due to just smoking or not, sounded a bit hoarse.

As he handed it over, his fingers touched Yu Nian’s lips.

Yu Nian’s heart skipped a beat.

He lowered his eyes, staring at Qi Wang’s slender, jade-like hand. His fingers were slightly cool, the nails round and full, the joints distinct, showing strength at a glance.

He had always been fond of hands.

Qi Wang’s hands were the most beautiful he had ever seen.

And now, this hand, holding a cigarette, was being offered to his lips.

Yu Nian felt a bit flushed.

He pursed his lips, leaning a bit closer, and held the filter with his lips.

Only then did he realize that this was the place where Qi Wang had just touched.

This incident, along with the choking mint smoke, rushed into his mind. He suddenly coughed violently, his face turning red.

Qi Wang looked at him with a smile, softly saying, “Such a little kid.”

Choking from just one puff.

He extinguished the cigarette and threw it into the nearby trash can, gently patting Yu Nian’s back a few times.

Yu Nian was coughing so hard that tears were about to come out, especially with Qi Wang’s hand on his back, instead of getting better, he coughed even harder.

Qi Wang let out a clear laugh.

“Will you smoke again next time?” he deliberately asked.

Yu Nian shook his head sincerely, “No more.”

But he quickly glanced at Qi Wang.

Qi Wang leaned back in his chair, his loose white shirt, freshly washed hair almost dry, jet black and fluffy, underneath was a face that should be on magazine posters, handsome and sharp, but with lazy eyes, seemingly smiling yet not, looking at him with an unconscious allure and laziness.

Yu Nian felt like the mint smoke from just now was still lingering on his tongue.

It stimulated his heart to beat a little faster.
