Romantic Refutation: Chapter 31

Chapter 31: Brother, why are you running away?

The hotel is right in front; there’s no way to wait until we get home.

Fu Xingran hid from Su Lixu in the car, pressed Su Lixu’s improper hand at the front desk, but once he swiped the card and walked into the room, he no longer stopped Su Lixu.

Su Lixu pressed him against the door in the hallway, hands on either side of his ears, far from the usual gentleness and restraint.

“Younger brother, why did you try to escape?”

The velvety voice of Su Lixu, tinged with a hint of intoxication, seemed to be seducing the ears. The words “younger brother” hit Fu Xingran’s sensitive spot, making him unable to resist.

Fu Xingran raised his hands in surrender, looking innocent. “I’m just standing in front of you.”

“Why did you hide from me in the car?” Su Lixu approached again, almost nose to nose. “Didn’t you say you like me? Why won’t you let me kiss you?”

Fu Xingran suppressed a smile, turning his face away and biting his lip. “The car is too narrow.”

Drunk Su Lixu, though, found it amusing. “Your car is a Lamborghini. Is it still narrow?” Su Lixu gazed at Fu Xingran with a hint of complaint. Noticing Fu Xingran not looking at him, he grabbed his chin and forced him to meet his gaze. “It’s not narrow now, right?”

Stepping back, he gestured to the spacious hallway. “This is wide enough.”

Fu Xingran couldn’t hold back his laughter. “Luxury presidential suite, of course, it’s very spacious.”

He couldn’t resist playing along.

Putting down his phone, he opened the recording app. This kind of conversation might only happen once, and he had to cherish it, maybe even catch Su Lixu’s little weakness. It was too adorable.

Definitely intoxicated, but not unconscious.”Why are you looking at your phone?” Su Lixu snatched it away, annoyed. “Is there anything good on your phone?”

Fu Xingran laughed even more. “No, it’s just you who looks good.”

Su Lixu casually tossed the phone on the shoe cabinet, then approached Fu Xingran, grabbing the hem of his clothes and looking up at him. “Do you like me?”

Fu Xingran looked at the shirt collar beneath Su Lixu’s light-colored sweater, wrapped in a camel-colored coat. Cheeks flushed with a slight intoxication, the influence of alcohol leading reason astray, otherwise, why would he be tugging at Fu Xingran’s clothes, acting cute?

It’s as if the Su teacher who was elegant as jade on the podium during the day has been hidden, revealing another side in the night.

The deeper it gets, the more Fu Xingran discovers a different side of Su Lixu.

If he goes even deeper, could he understand more?

“Of course, I like you the most,” Fu Xingran replied with a smile, raising his hand to ruffle Su Lixu’s hair.”

Then, will you kiss me?”

“Can I?”

“No, you can’t.”

Fu Xingran couldn’t help but cry and laugh, “Then why did you ask me?”

“Why didn’t you send me a message this afternoon?”

Fu Xingran paused for a second, looking puzzled at Su Lixu. It suddenly dawned on him that Su Lixu seemed a bit upset, maybe because he didn’t send him a message this afternoon?

He clenched his fist against his lips, turned his face away, and chuckled. “So, you’re mad about that.”

After Su Lixu nodded, he lowered his head, sighed heavily, and said, “So annoying, why is Fu Xingran so annoying.”

The curve of Fu Xingran’s lips deepened, a hint of indulgence in his eyes as he lifted Su Lixu’s face, making him look at himself. “Say it again? Am I really annoying?”

Caught off guard, Su Lixu’s face was lifted, and he froze when his gaze collided with Fu Xingran’s eyes. It was as if he was dizzy, caught in a whirlpool. He blinked, hesitating, “Fu Xingran?”

“Do you really think I’m annoying?” Fu Xingran asked again.Su Lixu stared at Fu Xingran, pondering slowly over the question. Just as he was about to nod, his chin was pinched, and a warm kiss landed on his lips, leaving him wide-eyed.

“Is this annoying?” Su Lixu hesitated.

Then, he felt a warm touch on his nose.

“How about this, annoying or not?”

Followed by his cheeks, earlobes, eyelids, forehead.Under these repeated warm touches, the echo of Fu Xingran’s “annoying or not” lingered, affectionate, indulgent, teasing.

“…I might faint,” Su Lixu said.

He really felt like fainting from all the kisses.

His head was spinning, making it impossible to think, with only the continuous echo of Fu Xingran’s voice, like hypnosis, hypnotizing the already chaotic reason, teasing and bullying repeatedly.

“Su Lixu, am I annoying?” Fu Xingran felt the person in his arms gradually softening. He lowered his head, touching foreheads with Su Lixu, gently asking, “Hmm? Annoying or not?”

The moment the words fell, his mouth was sealed.

Fu Xingran stared wide-eyed in surprise.Unable to endure it any longer, Su Lixu cupped Fu Xingran’s face and kissed him.

The chaotic and inexperienced kiss was like an inciting butterfly, fluttering wings that plucked at heartstrings. Even the retaliatory light bites carried a sense of savagery, undoubtedly crazily probing Fu Xingran’s limits.

Fu Xingran let Su Lixu’s savage kiss happen, his eyes becoming warmer. His hands protected Su Lixu’s back, as if self-affirming this acceptance. His longing, his daydreams, his indecision, finally settled securely in his heart.

Even if he was drunk.

Consider it as speaking the truth after drinking.

Anyway, he recorded it.

Su Lixu, once he actively provoked him, there was really no escape.

In the end, almost suffocated by the kiss, Fu Xingran supported Su Lixu’s nape and let him go. The person in his arms breathed lightly against his shoulder, like a small cat, making his heart itch.

“… I must be dreaming,” Su Lixu felt dizzy. “Definitely dreaming.”

Otherwise, how could he have kissed Fu Xingran? He must be crazy.

“Hmm,” Fu Xingran hugged him, compliantly responding. “You’re dreaming, dreaming of spring.”

Perhaps this sentence sparked some idea in Su Lixu. Since it’s a dream, why not try something unusual? If he hadn’t tried, how would he know? Pressing Fu Xingran down and kissing him, punishing him—after being annoyed for so long, wasn’t it time to get something back?Just when Fu Xingran thought Su Lixu might want to sleep, he was suddenly kissed again.

This time it was a more forceful kiss than before, even more chaotic and provocative.

Copying the moves, from lips to neck, cheeks, nose, eyelids, and forehead, one after another. Arousing everywhere, showing mercy everywhere.

Fu Xingran wanted to push Su Lixu away; otherwise, if this continued, he wouldn’t be a man.

He really is a scoundrel.

But Su Lixu stubbornly didn’t let him go, and the two almost ended up on the bed in a tug of war.

Su Lixu pushed Fu Xingran onto the bed, dominating him. Hands on both sides of Fu Xingran’s face, he looked down at him from above, the slightly intoxicated redness at the corners of his eyes adding a touch of coldness to his current dominance.

“Provoked me and want to leave?”

Fu Xingran looked at the man so close to him, met those slightly intoxicated eyes, and listened to the somewhat domineering tone. He smiled, obediently spreading his arms on either side of the bed.

“I’m not leaving.”

“If you bite me, I’ll bite back,” Su Lixu pressed down on Fu Xingran’s shoulders, not letting him move, saying fiercely.

The smile on Fu Xingran’s lips deepened.

His Doctor Su suddenly became quite wild.

So loving.

He didn’t want to, but Su Lixu called him little brother.

“Little brother, why are you running away.”

“You said you like me, why won’t you let me kiss you.”

“Why didn’t you send me a message this afternoon?”

“Provoked me and still want to run away?”

“Why are your clothes so difficult to take off?”

“…Brother, don’t take them off, okay?”

“Bothersome.”

“Sigh, brother, don’t bite, don’t bite.”

“Endure it for me.”

Su Lixu sat expressionless on the bed, watching Fu Xingran sitting cross-legged in front of him, his upper body adorned with numerous love bites. Seeing him holding a phone playing a recording, every sentence, along with the undeniable evidence on his body, indicated what he did last night.

All those words about little brother, provoking him and still wanting to run away… did he really say those?

It sounded like he forcefully took advantage of Fu Xingran.

The three words ‘impossible’ were forcibly swallowed back, the bitter taste of regret making it difficult to express. So why did he feel a bit off because Fu Xingran didn’t send him messages? Why did he impulsively drink several bottles of alcohol when he knew he couldn’t handle it?

He knew very well.

Fu Xingran played the recording again:【Do you like me?】【Will you kiss me?】

Each sentence pressed firmly on Su Lixu’s now sober reasoning. The more sober he became, the more he wanted to dig a hole and hide. He felt utterly embarrassed.

“Brother, you bit so hard.” Fu Xingran patted his left chest, looking at Su Lixu, who was now blushing intensely. There was mockery in his eyes. “My waist hurts; you’ve devoured me completely. You should take responsibility.”

From waking up until now, Su Lixu had been sitting in front of him, staring at him as if thunderstruck. He knew Su Lixu would surely refute, wouldn’t believe it. Thanks to the recording, otherwise, this cute side of Su Lixu might have vanished.

This had to be well-preserved.

“Stop talking about it.” Su Lixu looked at Fu Xingran’s truly red left chest, unable to believe he could do such a thing. He forced himself to look away, took a deep breath, feeling desperate: “Delete it.”

It’s over. Why did he drink? He couldn’t possibly have done such a thing.

Images from last night flashed in his mind. He thought it was an illusion, a dream. In his dream, he was bold and daring, forcing Fu Xingran to submit. But he truly didn’t know if it was real.

Did he really go that far with Fu Xingran?

Fu Xingran had never seen Su Lixu in such a frustrated and desperate state, but he enjoyed it. He laughed wickedly, “I won’t. This is the evidence of me losing my innocence.”

“Delete it!” Su Lixu glared fiercely at Fu Xingran, reaching out to grab his phone.

Fu Xingran raised the phone high, avoiding him. Su Lixu unexpectedly lost balance and fell forward, instinctively placing his hand on Fu Xingran’s leg.

Seeing the situation, Fu Xingran raised his hands innocently, “I didn’t touch you; you touched me. You can’t scold me.”

Su Lixu immediately withdrew his hand and sat back in his original position. His thin lips trembled slightly with anger, his ears turning red, he opened his mouth but hesitated, “Last night, I drank too much. You know, I don’t usually act like this.”

“I know.”

Su Lixu thought Fu Xingran would delete it after his response.

“So you’ve been plotting against me, revealing your true feelings under the influence of alcohol?” Fu Xingran asked with a teasing tone.

Su Lixu looked at Fu Xingran with a complex expression. “…not really, just delete it quickly.”

He swore never to drink again.

“But you bit me.” Fu Xingran looked at his left chest, then at Su Lixu. “It hurts.”

“Doesn’t that make us even?” Su Lixu felt like he had to vent all his anger towards Fu Xingran: “You bit me too. One bite each, fair and square.”

Fu Xingran touched his neck, knowing he had been kissed intensely last night. He looked at Su Lixu with a pitiful expression. “I don’t want to argue either, but surely someone would see it? If there’s a misunderstanding, what should we do? I’m not in a relationship.”

Su Lixu glanced at Fu Xingran’s neck, indeed covered in hickies. He withdrew his gaze, annoyed by Fu Xingran’s ambiguous words. However, there was nothing he could do; he had been a bit too reckless last night. He didn’t know why he impulsively drank those bottles of alcohol, or why he did what he did to Fu Xingran.

He bit his lip, calming himself down. “Last night, I drank too much, got confused… did something to you. It was my mistake. Now, tell me, what do you want?”

He couldn’t recall what he did, from where… did he go inside?

He couldn’t imagine himself overpowering the tall Fu Xingran.

“The phone is here. Come and take it.” Fu Xingran sat cross-legged, tossing the phone onto his lap and gesturing with his chin for Su Lixu to come.

Su Lixu looked at Fu Xingran suspiciously. “Let me delete it?”

“Yeah.” Fu Xingran nodded.

Su Lixu still doubted what Fu Xingran was up to, but his hands moved faster than his brain. He reached forward to grab Fu Xingran’s phone.

But this reaching action made Su Lixu think of something.

It was too late.

Fu Xingran grabbed Su Lixu’s hand, pulling him into his embrace. He looked into Su Lixu’s flustered eyes, smiling. “Give me a kiss, and I’ll let you delete it. Isn’t it a fair deal? I gave you my first time; you just have to give me a kiss, quite a bargain.”

Su Lixu thought he had been fooled by Fu Xingran’s trick of pulling hands several times already. Upon hearing Fu Xingran’s request, he felt an uncontrollable anger. “…isn’t last night enough?”

Kissing him again would make him remember everything from last night.

Fu Xingran pulled Su Lixu a bit closer, gazing at him, and said softly, “You weren’t clear-headed last night. Now, kiss me while you’re sober, and I’ll let you delete it.”

As long as Su Lixu dared to kiss him, he could tell if Su Lixu had any feelings for him.

Even if it was just a little bit, he would be happy.

The distance between the two was once again narrowed to an intimate level. Breathing was warm, and every centimeter closed was a conscious decision made while remaining fully rational.

Su Lixu’s eyes flickered, he pursed his lips, stayed silent for a moment, as if self-soothing, then took Fu Xingran’s arm and slightly straightened his waist, tilting his head to kiss him.

It was just a brush of the lips, without any further action, but the heartbeat was faster than last night.

The pupils reflected each other’s expressions, and neither closed their eyes, deeply engraving each change in the other’s expression, reluctant to blink or look away.

Fu Xingran felt his heart almost overflowing with satisfaction. His heartbeat was out of control, and his speculations were confirmed.

Because on his lips, he felt Su Lixu’s heartbeat racing as fast as his.

Su Lixu sensed something wrong and quickly pulled away. However, as he left Fu Xingran’s lips, Fu Xingran grabbed his hands and looked at him in surprise. “What are you doing?”

“Still claiming you don’t like me?” Fu Xingran held Su Lixu’s hand, placing his wrist by his ear and gazing deeply. “You were upset last night because I didn’t find you in the afternoon. Suddenly, you’re not used to it.”

“You’ve already gotten used to this clingy spirit wandering around you.”

“You’ve already gotten used to my constant presence.”

“I’m not around, and you might get a bit upset, become angry with me, buy alcohol for solace, and then, after getting drunk, ask me if I like you.”

“Even your pulse is telling me that you’re moved.”

With his wrist against his ear, listening to the pulse, this action hit Su Lixu’s weak spot. He met Fu Xingran’s intensely fiery gaze, and the psychological defense he had just established collapsed in an instant.

—You’re moved.

Su Lixu thought,

He’s really done for.

Fu Xingran turned his face and planted a kiss on Su Lixu’s pristine wrist. He said, “Dr. Su, let me give in to you.”
