Romantic Refutation: Chapter 38

Chapter 38: Feed me

As a result of this tattoo, Fu Xingran was excited for a long time, constantly wanting to see the tattoo.

“Baby~ just let me take a look again~ just one glance, I want to see.”

In front of the kitchen sink, Su Lixu was washing fruits, and Fu Xingran behind him embraced him, entangled and wanting to see. Su Lixu resisted the urge to throw the grapes in his hand onto Fu Xingran’s face. When Fu Xingran touched it, Su Lixu couldn’t take it anymore.

He grabbed a handful of grapes and turned around to stuff them into Fu Xingran’s mouth.

“Um—” Fu Xingran was caught off guard, his mouth filled with grapes, looking innocent at Su Lixu.

“Don’t take advantage.” Su Lixu wiped his wet hand on Fu Xingran’s clothes, glanced at him, and said, “Be happy if you’re happy; don’t talk about wanting to see it again.”

Staring non-stop at the tattoo is just awkward for anyone.

He lowered his head to continue washing grapes.

Fu Xingran ate the grapes in his mouth, smiling as he watched Su Lixu’s increasingly red ears. He then hugged his waist, placing his chin on his shoulder. “Baby, I’ve seen every part of you; why shy away?”

“Eat your grapes.” Su Lixu reached out to pull Fu Xingran’s hand away from his waist, but Fu Xingran held onto it.

Fu Xingran held this hand, moving up along the apron, “Or, would you prefer sitting on the sink, wearing the apron and letting me have a look?”

Su Lixu turned his head, flicking the water on his hand onto Fu Xingran’s face, “You’re just selling yourself after gaining some benefits.”

The next second, he exclaimed.

Fu Xingran pinched his waist, and he was placed on the sink.

Fu Xingran, separated by the apron, reached out and touched his shirt button, smiling with mischief in his eyes. Then, as if threatening, he tugged on his button, “Should I do it, or do you want to?”

Su Lixu felt this position was a bit dangerous. He was tense at the mention of Fu Xingran looking at him. Subconsciously moistening his dry lips, he leaned back, but Fu Xingran grabbed his waist.

“Baby, there’s a gap behind.” Fu Xingran swiftly embraced Su Lixu’s waist.

Perhaps with a little too much force, the distance between the two was instantly reduced to an intimate level. Su Lixu realized that his legs were pressed against Fu Xingran’s waist on both sides, making him feel a bit hard to face.

His heartbeat started to accelerate.

It raced, leaving his mouth dry.

“Xingran, this position seems a bit…” Su Lixu raised his hand to Fu Xingran’s chest, attempting to create some distance.

“Call me baby; you never want to call me baby,” Fu Xingran wouldn’t allow Su Lixu to create any distance. He leaned forward, his gaze fixed, saying, “I want to hear you call me baby. Am I not your baby now?”

A man of such stature acting cute was not something just anyone could withstand, yet Su Lixu was held tightly in his grasp.

Su Lixu turned his face away, took a deep breath; he somehow fell for Fu Xingran’s antics.

“Baby,” he lowered his gaze and softly called out, “Is this okay, baby?”

Seeing a faint blush on Su Lixu’s fair face, Fu Xingran dared not look at him. Even his voice became low and trembling, making Su Lixu appear incredibly soft at this moment.

This side of Su Lixu could only be seen by him.

Casually noticing the washed grapes nearby, as if thinking of something fun, Fu Xingran picked up one, stuffed it into Su Lixu’s mouth, then pressed it against Su Lixu’s forehead, whispering:

“If you won’t let me see the tattoo, fine, feed me grapes, mouth to mouth.”

Su Lixu looked at Fu Xingran in astonishment, as if saying this was way out of line.

Fu Xingran, hands on either side of Su Lixu, raised an eyebrow, smiling brightly, “Choose, a one-way multiple-choice question.”

“Are you a rogue?” Su Lixu swallowed the sickeningly sweet grape. If Fu Xingran didn’t like such sweet grapes, he wouldn’t have bought them. However, in reality, Fu Xingran was even sweeter than these grapes.

“Am I a rogue?” Fu Xingran, seeing Su Lixu swallow the grape, picked up another and stuffed it into his mouth, saying, “If I’m a rogue, this is a multiple-choice question. I want both, to see the tattoo and be fed grapes. Don’t swallow the grape; I want you to feed me. You just ate one of my grapes earlier, so now you owe me ten.”

Su Lixu wanted to speak but unintentionally swallowed the grape again, looking at Fu Xingran with an expression of being fed up, “…Enough already.”

The phrase ‘enough already’ sounded muffled and low, but to Fu Xingran, it seemed like a plea or coquetry, making him ecstatic.

“Now you owe me twenty grapes.” Fu Xingran fed the grape to Su Lixu, leaned closer, and gazed at him, saying, “Feed me.”

With a low, hoarse voice and intense eyes, even though nothing significant happened, it gave the illusion that Fu Xingran was planning something.

In the kitchen, the small space silently filled with romance.

Su Lixu had no choice; he placed his hand on Fu Xingran’s arm, leaned forward, bit the grape, and offered it to Fu Xingran’s lips.

The moment their lips touched, Fu Xingran clasped the back of Su Lixu’s neck, consuming both lips and grape. Before Su Lixu could react, Fu Xingran quickly retreated, watching Su Lixu’s embarrassed and angry expression with satisfaction as he swallowed the grape.

“Mmm, so sweet.”

Su Lixu’s thin lips trembled slightly. He stared at Fu Xingran, speechless, his chest heaving. After a while, he finally squeezed out three words, “…You’ve had enough.”

He’s already thirty.

He pretended to jump down from the sink.

Fu Xingran swiftly caught Su Lixu, not letting him go. He grinned maliciously, “Baby, you still owe me nineteen grapes; you can’t escape.”

“I’ll show you the tattoo!” Su Lixu wanted to escape the kitchen. He couldn’t bear Fu Xingran’s intense gaze and urgently said.

“Really?” Fu Xingran’s voice lifted slightly.

“Really.”

Fu Xingran chuckled deeply, carrying Su Lixu back, “Alright, after we finish the grapes, you can show me the tattoo. Everything in its own time.”

Su Lixu: “… So nasty!”

In the end, the two of them finished the large bowl of grapes in the kitchen.

Su Lixu declared he never wanted to eat grapes again.

As night fell, the two sat on the sofa in the living room after finishing their meal.

“All swollen,” Fu Xingran held Su Lixu in his lap, facing each other, refusing to let him button up his shirt, looking at the reddened tattoo under the plastic wrap with a frown.

He lightly rubbed the edges with his fingertips, feeling Su Lixu suddenly tremble.

“Don’t touch…” Su Lixu pressed Fu Xingran’s hand, “It hurts a bit.”

“Don’t do this in the future.” Fu Xingran, seeing Su Lixu wincing in pain, spoke with a hint of reproach, “Someone so afraid of pain shouldn’t get a tattoo.”

Despite the reproach, he couldn’t bear to be too harsh.

“Aren’t you happy?” Su Lixu glanced at him.

“But it hurts my heart.” Fu Xingran buttoned up his shirt, “Even though I’m happy, I can’t bear to see you suffer. My baby is in pain, and my heart aches.”

Su Lixu half-smiled, “Are you afraid I’ll suffer? Who was acting like a hungry wolf in the kitchen earlier? Now, don’t touch me.”

Saying that, he tried to get down from Fu Xingran’s lap.

“That won’t do.” Fu Xingran quickly pulled him back, cheek close to his neck, “It’s different.”

As Fu Xingran’s lips accidentally touched his Adam’s apple, Su Lixu felt a bit itchy. He tilted his head unconsciously and swallowed.

In that moment, as he tilted his head, his Adam’s apple was bitten.

“Others can’t make you hurt, only I can love you the most.” Fu Xingran didn’t bite too hard, lightly tasting before pulling away. His head nestled into Su Lixu’s shoulder, “You can only love me, okay?”

Su Lixu nodded, “Okay.”

How can he make Fu Xingran stop talking to him like that? He needs to make Fu Xingran fully trust him, without any anxieties.

He needs to think of a way to make Fu Xingran completely trust him.

After spending time together, they each went to do their own things. Since they were already together, most of the time, they stayed at Su Lixu’s house. Occasionally, Fu Xingran had to go back to his own home to deal with the design drawings for the Jiang Tianyi Su project.

Even when he went back home, Fu Xingran wouldn’t close the door.

Su Lixu leaned against the door frame, peeking into the room. He saw Fu Xingran sitting at the bar, fully focused on the computer. He was facing sideways, so Su Lixu could only see his profile.

But even this side profile was pleasing to the eye.

The quiet and serious Fu Xingran, when not causing trouble, emitted the charm of a mature man, an inexplicable attraction to him. This person’s body harbored rich and diverse facets, each one evoking different feelings.

And what he wanted most was Fu Xingran’s seriousness, concentration, to not be afraid, just like now.

He knew that recently Fu Xingran was working on a significant design project, a form of collaboration with his father. He had heard some details about it; it was Jiang Tianyi Su, a valuable piece of land by the river in the city center.

He heard they hired many world-renowned architects, and Fu Xingran was one of them.

His little boyfriend was quite impressive.

As he silently peeked at Fu Xingran, he suddenly heard Fu Xingran speaking, his voice strong.

“No, don’t touch this part. Follow my original design.”

“But Fu Gong, Fu Zong said it’s best to have a unified style. If you design this part like this, won’t it be a bit… abrupt?”

Fu Xingran’s face darkened when he heard the designers questioning him. He leaned back in his chair, “What do you mean by abrupt? You tell me how it’s abrupt. This time, Jiang Tianyi Su is about breaking through, breaking the conventional luxury. The part I simplified is not abrupt; it’s about lowering the flamboyance, refining simplicity and atmosphere. Do it according to my design.”

“But Fu Zong’s side…”

Fu Xingran sneered, “If you don’t accept the way I handled this part, you can find Fu Zong for the design. Although the group is essentially my client, as a designer team, we have a certain level of professionalism. If you don’t listen or accept, then I won’t be involved. It’s that simple. Don’t bother me with so much; just let Fu Wen come find me.”

After saying this, he closed the laptop, crossed his arms, and leaned back with a serious face.

Perhaps thinking about someone interfering with the set he designed, the more he thought about it, the angrier he became. He picked up the glass beside him and seemed ready to smash it.

“Baby.”

Fu Xingran’s hand holding the glass stopped abruptly as he turned his gaze to find Su Lixu. The anger on his face disappeared instantly, and he lowered his head, pretending everything was normal. “What’s wrong?”

“You seem to have something here.” Su Lixu walked to Fu Xingran’s side, bent down, and reached out to touch the glass beside Fu Xingran.

“What thing?” Fu Xingran was puzzled.

Before he could finish his sentence, he felt a kiss on his lips. Fu Xingran looked at Su Lixu in surprise, who pretended nothing happened, leaning against the table with his hands on both sides, legs casually bent, lips slightly curved. “There’s nothing, just saw someone so fierce, wanted to cool him down a bit.”

Fu Xingran touched his lips as if savoring the moment. “I’m not angry.”

“Still saying you’re not angry?” Su Lixu used his fingertips to press on the spot where Fu Xingran’s eyebrows were furrowed, gently rubbing. “Don’t frown, talk nicely. Getting angry won’t solve the problem.”

Thinking about his carefully designed house being picked apart by those people, Fu Xingran couldn’t help but feel annoyed. But he couldn’t blame them because they didn’t know why he designed the house this way. He didn’t want others to know.

Looking up at Su Lixu, he turned the chair towards him, pulled him closer, and then raised his head. “Baby, pinch my ears for me.”

Su Lixu grabbed Fu Xingran’s ears with both hands, lowered his head, and gently massaged them. After a while, seeing Fu Xingran’s brows gradually relaxing, he asked, “Can you tell me why you were angry now?”

Fu Xingran was suddenly at a loss for words. What should he say? How should he say it? Hesitatingly, he said,

“It’s just… I have a friend who asked me for a set of houses at Jiang Tianyi Su. He wanted me to design a wedding house for him.”

Su Lixu understood, “Okay, and then? Why did you argue with them just now?”

“It’s because I helped him get this set of houses, but no one knows why I want to design this house like this. So the style might be a bit different from the others.” Fu Xingran fabricated a story, but it was almost there; he couldn’t say more.

Su Lixu suddenly understood and asked, “Does your dad know?”

“I don’t know.”

“Did you tell your dad in advance that you want to keep it? What if your dad doesn’t agree with your design? After all, your dad is the client.”

Fu Xingran, hearing this, was about to explode, “He must agree to my design. If he doesn’t let me design it this way, I will argue with him!!”

Seeing Fu Xingran so agitated, Su Lixu was puzzled, “Why are you so excited? Which friend asked you for it? How come I don’t know you have such a close friend?”

Fu Xingran was suddenly silent.

Su Lixu had never seen Fu Xingran like this. He was always bold and straightforward in front of him, saying whatever he wanted. What kind of friend could make him hesitant?

Unless… A friend created out of thin air.

He suppressed the smile at the corner of his lips and lowered his head, leaning towards Fu Xingran. “Hmm? Your friend is so close. Why don’t you introduce him to me?”

Fu Xingran pulled Su Lixu onto his lap, embracing him from behind, attempting to conceal the current confusion. “Just, you know, those people around my dad.”

“Which people?” Su Lixu turned his head to look at Fu Xingran, finding it intriguing to see the confusion in his eyes. This guy could get flustered too. He leaned in for a closer look. “Which one?”

Fu Xingran met Su Lixu’s gaze, almost feeling like he could see through him. He instinctively shifted his eyes away but was caught by Su Lixu, who held his chin and turned him back.

“Is it a friend you can’t tell me about?” Su Lixu held Fu Xingran’s chin, forcing him to look at him, pretending to be serious. “Is it a guy or a girl?”

Before he could answer, Su Lixu was kissed by Fu Xingran as if it were a punishment.

“Su Lixu you’re robbing me of the surprise.” Fu Xingran let go of Su Lixu, complaining while looking at him. He pulled Su Lixu into his arms again, feeling both annoyed and happy because Su Lixu cared so much.

Su Lixu smiled and asked, “Hmm? What surprise?”

Fu Xingran heard the playful tone in Su Lixu’s voice, bowed down, and bit his ear. “You’re doing it on purpose, deliberately asking when you already know.”

“So, your friend who wants to buy a wedding house is?”

“It’s me, Fu Xingran.” Fu Xingran pressed his cheek against Su Lixu’s, fingers circling Su Lixu’s ring finger, gently whispering, “Your boyfriend, your baby, your future other half. Are you satisfied?”
