Chapter 17: Encountering a Pervert

The victorious side received a limited edition set of Honor of King’s figurines, one per person.

Jiang Mingyue selected the Cai Wenji set, one of her favorite heroes to play.

Qi Ze chose the hero Lan set.

Afterward, the group left together.

“Hi, hello, Lu Lin.”

Jiang Mingyue smiled and greeted him as Lu Lin looked over at her.

“Are you Jiang Mingyue?” Lu Lin asked, his eyes slightly widened.

“Yes, we played a game together last time.” Jiang Mingyue replied, pointing toward Chen Xiangyi and introducing her. “This is my friend, Chen Xiangyi.”

Chen Xiangyi waved at him. “Hello!”

Lu Lin revealed a bright smile, showing his white teeth.

“Wow, doesn’t your high school produce a lot of beauties? Each of you is so good-looking. If I had known, I would have gone to your high school too.”

His smile was bright, and saying such things not only didn’t make him sound sleazy, but also made people blush.

“Xiao Jiejie, hello. My name is Lin Lu.”

Standing next to Qi Ze, Lin Lu tilted her head and sweetly greeted them.

She then ran over to hug Jiang Mingyue and Chen Xiangyi’s arms. “Xiao Jiejie, you’re so pretty, let’s cuddle!”

Lin Lu’s face was soft and pale, with large, wet-looking eyes. The way she clung to their arms and wanted to cuddle was simply too cute!

Lin Lu saw the camera hanging around her neck and said excitedly: “Sister, you take pictures? Could you take a few for me?”

Lu Lin replied: “I’ve taken so many photos for you today, do you still want more?”

Lin Lu pouted her lips, showing a hint of disdain. “How dare you say that? You took so many pictures, but none of them turned out well.”

Lu Lin curled his lips. “Aren’t photos all the same?”

Lin Lu huffed. “Straight guy!”

“Then I’ll take them for you, I’ll make sure they look good.” Jiang Mingyue said as she opened the camera.

“Then help me take a few with Sister Chen first, is that okay, Sister?”

She shook Chen Xiangyi’s hand, blinking her eyes as she asked.

Chen Xiangyi replied: “Of course, it’s fine!”

“You guys take pictures first, I’ll go get some drinks.” Qi Ze, who had been silent standing by, spoke up. “What do you want to drink?”

Jiang Mingyue answered: “Just water for me.”

Chen Xiangyi said: “Get me an iced cola, please.”

Lin Lu added: “I want cola too.”

Lu Lin quickly retorted: “No, you can’t. You were complaining about a toothache yesterday, you can’t have cola.”

Lin Lu scrunched up her nose at him and then turned to Qi Ze, acting coquettishly. “Brother Ze, you’ll buy it for me, right?”

Qi Ze replied: “I’ll get you water.”

Lin Lu puffed her cheeks and huffed.

Lu Lin snickered twice and intentionally said to Qi Ze: “Get me a bottle of cola too!”

Qi Ze ignored his childish behavior and turned to go buy drinks.

To capture the best shots, Jiang Mingyue led them outside the exhibition hall to the grass lawn for the photoshoot.

She first took a set of pictures with Lin Lu and Chen Xiangyi together.

Then, she took a solo set of Lin Lu.

Her Cai Wenji outfit today was perfect for the shoot.

Her round, shiny eyes displayed a naive expression that was simply adorable.

Lu Lin had dressed up as Lan to match his little sister.

Jiang Mingyue then took a set of pictures of the Cai Wenji and Lan duo.

The height difference between the two of them perfectly replicated the characters of Cai Wenji and Lan from the game.

Jiang Mingyue went over to a cosplayer dressed as Xiao Qiao and borrowed the flower she was holding.

After borrowing the flower, she asked Lu Lin to squat down, while his little sister placed the flower in his hair.

Then, she pressed the shutter and captured a classic scene of Cai Wenji and Lan.

Afterward, Lu Lin quickly stood up, speaking in a hurried tone. “I need to use the bathroom, can you watch over my sister for me?”

Jiang Mingyue replied: “Sure, go ahead. We’ll wait for you here.”

As soon as he left, she suddenly remembered that she hadn’t informed Qi Ze that they had moved locations.

Jiang Mingyue smacked her forehead and quickly took out her phone to send him a message.

A man walked over, barefoot and wrapped in white cloth.

The white cloth looked like a hotel bed sheet, which he wore diagonally around his body, exposing one shoulder.

The man appeared to be in his late twenties or early thirties and looked quite muscular.

Before he could finish, the man forcefully pulled off the white cloth from his body.

A naked body appeared in front of them.

“Ah—!”

Chen Xiangyi screamed and quickly covered her eyes.

Jiang Mingyue hurriedly covered Lin Lu’s eyes as she lifted her head. “Don’t look, there’s something dirty.”

She quickly closed her own eyes as well.

“Perverted jerk, scram!”

The pervert, still naked, didn’t leave. Instead, he smirked and asked: “Come on, take a look, how do you like my new outfit?”

People around them also saw the scene and yelled at each other to close their eyes.

Jiang Mingyue really wanted to beat him up, but she dared not let go of her hand.

She was afraid the child might see something dirty.

“Ah—!”

Suddenly, the man let out a scream of pain, followed by a loud “bang.”

Then came the sound of a scuffle.

“Qi Ze, is that you?”

She then heard the man cry out in pain again.

“Don’t open your eyes, it’s me.” Qi Ze’s cold voice came through.

Jiang Mingyue immediately felt relieved.

“Damn!”

Jiang Mingyue heard Lu Lin’s exclamation.

Lu Lin had just returned and saw Qi Ze knock a naked man to the ground.

Seeing the three of them covering their eyes, he immediately understood they had encountered a pervert.

Fury surged through him as he rushed to join Qi Ze in the fight.

Jiang Mingyue secretly opened one eye.

Surrounding them, although everyone was covering their eyes, most people were secretly peeking through their fingers.

Chen Xiangyi also peeked through her fingers and squinted her eyes when she saw Jiang Mingyue looking over at her.

Jiang Mingyue asked: “Are you okay?”

Chen Xiangyi shook her head. “I’m fine, just a little disgusted by what happened earlier.”

Lin Lu, who hadn’t been able to see what was going on, felt a bit scared and tugged at her sleeve. “Sister, what’s happening?”

Jiang Mingyue pulled her into an embrace. “It’s nothing, just a really ugly thing. It’ll be over soon.”

The man’s muscular build seemed tough and hard to beat.

Qi Ze landed a punch on his face, and Lu Lin kicked him in the stomach. The man staggered backward from the force of the blows, eventually falling to the ground.

He rolled on the ground for a bit before getting back up.

Seeing that he was no match for the two, he quickly turned and ran off.
