If Chen Jianan had an ear in his head, it would have dropped down to flat, he was unwilling to send him alone but under his resolute gaze he had no choice but to compromise, and dejectedly turned around and staired upstairs. But more than that he was so depressed for having that kind of dream with his brother, and felt he was no better than Qin Yunfei and, the target of his perversion was Qiao Wen, this realization made him so despondent.
If anyone had such dirty thoughts on Qiao Wen, he would punch them to the west without hesitation. However, when it comes to him, he could neither bully Qiao Wen nor beat him back to the west. Not knowing what to do he silently slapped himself twice, scolded himself a beast, and then fell into endless sorrow.
Qiao Wen, who was walking on the street to catch the tram had no idea that 19-year-old Chen Jianan had already classified himself as a pervert among Qin Yunfei because of his first love, and also didn’t know that he would encounter a pervert Qin who he had not seen for almost three months. In fact, it could not count as an encounter.
As Qiao Wen was nearing to the walled city, he heard a distant voice of child crying, he subconsciously stopped on the track and found the sound was coming from the narrow alley next to him.
Followed the sound, he walked to the alley and saw several children were fighting over. To be more precise it could not be said as fighting but bullying.
In the slum, fighting and brawling were very common occurrence, the strong one bullying the weak were started from the young age, only a handful of childs were properly disciplined and knew the means of life and concentrate on studies to strive for a better life, and a child-like the original Xiao Qiao was definitely an anomaly amongst anomalies.
Five or six children were bullying the skinny child in the dirty alley. The child, who was beaten to a corner and was crying in pain, looked to be seven or eight years old. His shirt was a little torn with footmarks on it, his hair was a little messy and his tears stricken face was also smeared with sand and marks, but amidst this one could see this child was beautiful. If Qiao Wen wasn’t sure that these boys wouldn’t gang up and bully girls this way he would mistook this little boy as a girl.
As he saw this scene, his brows frowned and was about to step in to put a full stop to it.
Although his body was always weak which could be blown away by the wind, handling a few children should not be that much of a deal.
Besides, after Chen Jianan became new red stick, almost everyone in the walled city knew him as a brother of a pretty boy south so no one will do anything to him.
However, he suddenly caught a sight of a man leaning against the corner. As for why he didn’t spot him in the first place was, the man dressed in a gray shirt almost merged with the wall next to him, and his back was facing to him.
The man had short, medium-length hair which was tied back, and he was lean and leaning on a cane on his left hand. Even though Qiao Wen was not familiar with Qin Yunfei, he still recognized him from his back.
Although Qin Yunfei seemed to be born with a bit of evil, Qiao Wen didn’t think that he would do something like bullying a small child and thought that he was just watching the fun.
Since this wicked thing was here, it wouldn’t be good for him to go up and meddle in other’s business, with this in mind he turned around to walk off.
“Stop!” Qin Yunfei’s voice sounded from behind.
Qiao Wen, who took a step stopped on the track.
The few children who were bullying the little kid stopped immediately, as if only then realized that there was someone behind them. When they turned around and saw Qin Yunfei, they were so frightened and trembled: “Brother Fei…fei!”
Qin Yunfei waved his hand and said coldly. “Roll!”
The childrens immediately scattered out of the alley, leaving only the bullied child who was still sitting in the corner, crying out of breath, looking very pitiful.
Qin Yunfei walked forward with a cane and asked without emotion: “Why did they beat you?”
The boy raised his head, slightly suppressed his wails, and replied whimperly, “They said I look like a girl.”
Hearing this Qin Yunfei chuckled before saying, “I think they are right, only girls like to cry.”
The boy’s crying was indeed restrained for a few moments.
“Is it useful to cry when being bullied?” Qin Yunfei asked again.
The boy choked and shook his head, while whispering, “There are too many of them for me to fight.”
Qin Yunfei: “That’s because you are useless. As long as you work hard to become stronger, one day you will beat them.”
“Really?” The boy looked at him with his head up, and his red and swollen eyes were full of confusion.
Qin Yunfei didn’t say anything else, just took a handkerchief from his pocket and threw it to the child, then turned around indifferently and walked out.
Qiao Wen got carried away on the scene before him and was too late to dodge, so he simply took initiative and greeted him: “Brother Fei—”
Qin Yunfei slightly froze, then pulled the corner of his mouth expressionlessly, walking step by step in front of him. His face was as indifferent as alway, but his eyes were so cold, as if to strangle the man in front of him to die, but as if he thought of something, he hooked the corner of his lips: “Awen, is it because you think that Brother Fei has a lame leg, and can’t do anything to you?”
“I know Brother Fei won’t bully someone like me for no reason?”
Qin Yunfei snorted disapprovingly, looked at him up and down meaningfully, and said: “I couldn’t figure out earlier why you were so dead set on following Pretty Boy Nan. It turned out that he is really capable, now he’s the most scenic red stick in our Hexing Society.” As he said, he leaned into his ear and whispered maliciously, “You sleep on the same bed all day long, I’m sure he’s doing a great job, isn’t he?”
Qiao Wen was neither peeved nor angry, and was completely unmoved, and just replied in a calm voice: “Brother Nan is not the kind of person you think, and I and he are not the kind of relationship you said.”
“Is that so?” Qin Yunfei took two steps back and laughed mockingly. “Are you so sure that Chen Jianan and I aren’t the same person?”
Qiao Wen replaced his answer with silence.
“What? Do you think he really can become a great hero?” Qin Yunfei laughed became louder, and he turned around and walked away slowly while leaning on his cane, and continued without turning his head back, “Once getting on our boat and taking this path there is no return. Now he’s just fighting, and collecting debuts. It’ll only be a matter of time for him to sell powder and then kill and set fire, then two years later he’ll be no different from me.”
Saying that he turned around and stared straight at Qiao Wen with a smile but the smile didn’t reach the bottom of his eyes: “Awen! I’ll wait for you to cry in the future.”
Qiao Wen met his gaze blankly without answering.
It wasn’t until the other party turned around and walked a certain distance, that he spoke nonchalantly: “No. It won’t happen.”
Because he would never let Chen Jianan be a person like him.
