Ji Yan could see that Yin Xuezhuo restrained himself very well.
Even when passing by Yin Miaorou’s door he was very calm, and he could talk to Ji Yan with no distraction.
As Ji Yan observed all these her hanging heart dropped a little, but still making sure he was ok, she dragged him nearer to her place again and again and engaged in a silly conversation like ‘Zhou Zhou did you slept well’ ‘Zhuo Zhuo do you think this place look good’ and so and so on.
Yin Xuezhuo was back to his lazy young master self sometime he would answer Ji Yan’s question and sometime he would stare at her pitifully, like looking the retired child, but all in all his attention was fully focused on Ji Yan, and became non-threatening, like a pet tiger, who could only adorn to people.
Ji Yan was a lot more relieved seeing his lazy attitude it was thousand times better than his impulsive behavior. Such a well-behaved boyfriend make her hard for not falling hard in him, and like that the two went to the normal state.
But the same not goes to Yin Miaorou after being forcefully feed by PDA.
“Ji Yan.” On the third day Yin Miaorou stopped her.
Ji Yan’s footsteps paused for a moment, raised her eyebrows in surprise, turned around, looked at Yin Miaorou, with a smirk, “Sister Yin, why are you calling me?”
“Sister Yin” was the name the former Ji Yan used to call Yin Miaorou before the two torn their faces apart. Despite their tumultuous relationship, as Yin Miaorou was seen as the victim under Ji Yan’s plotting, the one who suffered great and lost everything and eventually died was Ji Yan. But all her losses and death were justified as she deserved for it to being vicious to Yin Miaorou.
Yin Miaorou was taken aback for a moment being called by her sister, the word “Sister Yin” was so sticky sweet she couldn’t bear it. After a moment of pause she came back to her sense and said with a smile: “Yan’er, I know that you and I are in different positions now. You and that demon… Yin Xuezhuo is on the same road now, can you do me a favor?”
As she said, she stepped forward slightly, stopped in front of the barrier, took out a sachet on her waist, and whispered: “This thing… can you please help me to give it to him?”
Ji Yan glanced down at the sachet in her hand, somewhat wanted to laugh a little and silently wondered.
This lotus, what kind of confidence does she have, to let me a “rival in love” to help give things to my man?
Ji Yan was not sure whether Yin Xuezhuo was standing by her side in invisible state, but since he didn’t show up meant he didn’t want to talk to her at all.
Ji Yan neither accepted nor refused it just stared at her with a half smile. Yin Miaorou under Ji Yan’s smiling eyes felt a bit embarrassment and her hand holding the sachet tightened unconsiously, and whispered: “There are few things in it. It belongs to him, I just want to return everything to the original owner.”
Once she said these, Ji Yan snorted in her heart.
Yin Xuezhuo’s stuff?
Could it be scales again? If this were a piece of Xuan Ice Scale, it would be too…
Ji Yan felt an oncoming headache and her brows frowned slightly as she lowered her gaze to sachet then to Yin Miaorou. Her intrinsic told her that Yin Miaorou was playing a trick again and wondered what it was. She didn’t even pop her head out these two days, but as soon as she did she wanted to give Yin Xuezhuo a sachet.
She meticulously replayed the storyline of the original book in her memory, realizing that Yin Miaorou had no significant leverage to sway the situation in a different direction at this time. And her brows relaxed ever so slightly and felt the sachet shouldn’t be as lethal weapon, she hesitantly decided to take it, her curiosity piqued by the unknown possibilities it held.
Yin Miaorou let out a sigh of relief.
Ji Yan held the sachet little further away as it was a disgusting thing and asked while holding the breath: “Then I do a big favor to Sister Yin, how is Sister Yin going to thank me?”
Yin Miaorou was startled, then bit her lip and asked, “How do I…”
Ji Yan paced back and forth in place, then she turned to Yin Miaorou, as seeming to be embarrassed to say: “How about this, you offended me in the first place, I have no reason to help the enemy’s to carry out the thing. Since I’m going to help you, you bow to me three times seriously, and say sorry, I will help you with this favor.”
This time, she was simply taking advantage of Yin Miaorou.
Ji Yan’s memory was intact of how she was humiliated in Linshuang City, that slap from the Tai Xuan Sect Elder.
As a gentlewoman it was not late for her to settle scores with this white lotus.
Asking her to bow and apologize was already considered cheap to her.
If Ji Yan wasn’t afraid of Yin Xuezhuo would jump over at any moment to settle score of dying together. She would slap her and asked for everything she said and done to her.
Yin Miaorou’s face turned pale and her expression cracked greatly to look ugly when hearing Ji Yan’s word, but even if she was not willing to reconcile, she have to hold her step now, so she chose to bear the humiliation for now.
No matter what once she contacts Feng Liuyun it won’t be too late to get revenge.
Yin Miaorou looked down at her toes and suddenly bent over and bowed to her. Ji Yan touched her chin and smiled: “Your waist has to bend a little more, it’s not enough.” Yin Miaorou’s face became more ugly and her body trembled, while bitting a lip, she finished three big bows one by one, and said “I’m sorry”.
After saying this, she raised her head and met Ji Yan’s smiling eyes.
Meanwhile, Ji Yan carefully observed the Yin Miaorou’s movement, and felt she was worthy of being the female protagonist. Her exquisite features and graceful demeanor easily labeled her as a Mary Sue.
Despite being coerced into apologizing and enduring the cruel sting of humiliation, she carried herself with the innocence and fragility of a delicate white lotus flower. Her silent suffering evoked deep emotions of sympathy and empathy in all who crossed paths with her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and minds.
If not for the fact that she owed Yin Xuezhuo too much, and was still bent on getting rid of Yin Xuezhuo, Ji Yan actually didn’t care who she was, and didn’t have that much hostility towards her.
After looking at her one last time Ji Yan turned around and returned to her residence. Upon returning the first thing she did was to ring the bell to summon Yin Xuezhuo.
As soon as he showed up Ji Yan looked at him thoroughly before handing him the sachet in her hand. “Here.” She said sourly, “Your old lover gave it to you.”
Yin Xuezhuo was doing cultivation in an invisible state, as soon as hearing the bell he came out. When he heard this, he was quiet puzzled, “Old lover? Who?”
His reaction was not bad… Ji Yan felt a little relieved, and said, “Yin Miaorou, who else can it be?”
Yin Xuezhuo brow frowned while he stretched out two fingers, took the sachet in her hand, looking very disgusted.
“What are you doing like this? This sachet is not dirty.” Ji Yan couldn’t help but laugh at his action.
Yin Xuezhuo: “It doesn’t smell good, it stinks.”
Stink?
On the way here, Ji Yan smelled the fragrant coming from sachet, it was not a very strong but more like incense scent. It felt that it was standard for rich people, but it did not feel stinky at all.
Yin Xuezhuo don’t like this kind of incense?
Yin Xuezhuo glanced indifferently at the sachet in his hand and threw it over on the table, like throwing a piece of trash, and he did not forget to wipe his hand on the clean tablecloth, as if it could erase the smell.
Then he lifted his finger then a glint of light fell on the sachet, the next instant the delicate brocade embroidery pattern on the sachet was burned to ashes, revealing what was inside.
It was some air-dried petal spices, wrapped in a delicate bell with a red string wrapped around it, it looks like a long time.
Ji Yan leaned over to take a closer look, then suddenly turned her head and asked Yin Xuezhuo, “What is this?!”
Yin Xuezhuo: “I don’t know.”
Ji Yan: “Huh?” As a party in the question, you said you don’t know? Are you kidding me?
Yin Xuezhuo really couldn’t remember what it was. He glanced at it and felt bored, and then lay on the bed side with a depressed expression of “You called me out for such inexplicable things”. Ji Yan was also stunned, wondering if Yin Miaorou had a sudden brainstorm and sent the wrong thing.
…But it’s not right.
