The resume was already stored in her phone, Su Qian made some changes to the details, and after confirming that there were no errors, she sent it to the designated email.

After finishing all these, there was still some time left. Last night, a new member had joined her family, a little guy who had nothing but a fluffy body. Su Qian decided to go and buy some necessities for it.

She found a relatively large pet supermarket on the map, took a car, and went straight there.

Looking at the dazzling array of shelves, Su Qian, who had never raised a small animal before, was initially excited but now felt helpless. She pushed the shopping cart and stared blankly at the many brands of cat food.

“Don’t know which one to buy?” Suddenly, a male voice sounded next to her.

Su Qian turned her head and was slightly startled when she saw his face. She didn’t expect to meet him again.

He seemed to have the same thought, smiled, and said, “Do you remember me?”

She came back to her senses, nodded, and said, “South City.”

Actually saying “Pet Hospital” would be more accurate. But she was afraid of accidentally touching someone’s sad things, so she gave an ambiguous answer.

“Your umbrella is still with me.”

Su Qian smiled, “Just leave it there, it’s not a valuable item.”

Jiang Zhan raised the corner of his mouth, and his gaze fell on the shelf, “How old is your cat?”

“Less than three months old.”

His gaze slowly swept down, pointing to one of them and said, “My friend’s cat likes this one.”

Su Qian, who had no experience in raising cats, now found it much better to have someone share their experience than to buy randomly.

“Okay, I’ll try it too.” She happily accepted the suggestion.

She bought cat food, goat milk, canned food, and some cat toys and other things.

Jiang Zhan silently followed behind her, and gave some appropriate suggestions when she was indecisive. Neither of them noticed that they seemed to have shopped together many times in the supermarket.

When checking out, Su Qian noticed that Jiang Zhan was staring blankly at a frisbee toy. She guessed that he probably thought of something.

Just as she was about to look away, Jiang Zhan seemed to notice something, turned his head and gave her a smile, “Let’s go.”

He naturally picked up two big bags, leaving the lightest small thing to Su Qian.

Su Qian looked at the man’s tall figure, and remembered the day he was holding a golden retriever in the pet hospital. He must have been very sad that day.

The car was parked outside the supermarket. After loading the items into the car, Jiang Zhan was about to leave.

He had spoken up just now entirely because of the umbrella that day. After he got home, he buried Beile in the backyard, and then fell asleep.

The rain was getting heavier and heavier, and he lay in bed, feeling surrounded by an unprecedented loneliness. He had never experienced such a long and torturous night.

When he opened his eyes again, it was already bright, and the umbrella he had thrown in the yard had been dried by the bright sun.

Strangely enough, the gloomy mood of the whole night felt relieved when he saw the umbrella bathed in the sun.

With that, Su Qian went to the cold drink shop on her own.

Before long, she bought two ice cream cones and gave one to Jiang Zhan, “It’s buy one get one free for the new opening, yours is the bought one, and mine is the given one.”

“Of course there is. I usually go out alone and have never enjoyed a buy one get one free offer. Now that I’ve borrowed your help, mine is free, don’t you think I should be happy?”

The faint peach flavor drifted away, and the air seemed to become sweet. Jiang Zhan slowly took a bite, and the fragrant sweetness melted on his tongue.

Su Qian observed his expression without changing her face and asked, “How is it, is it delicious?”

He nodded, “It’s delicious.”

“I also think the taste is good. Eating sweets when you’re in a bad mood can make you feel better.”

Jiang Zhan’s mouth was full of sweet taste, he gently pursed his lips, “Do I look like I’m in a bad mood?”

“I mean me.” Su Qian pretended to be distressed, “I suddenly found that raising a cat is expensive. Not only do I have to be a poop scooper, but I also have to be its worker. Outside the window, Su Qian was laughing and talking with the man across from her, both of them holding identical ice cream cones.
