Pheromone Collision Chapter 104.2

Chapter 104 2/2

Jiang Li took the hiking stick and said, “This will do.”

He silently followed behind Cen Lang.

The others kept a ten-metre distance, whispering without any organisation or discipline.

“I just saw paternal love in Cen Lang’s eyes.”

“I saw it too.”

“Am I the only one who feels Cen Lang was attracted by Jiang Li?”

“They really look like a family of three.”

“Too bad our phones were confiscated; otherwise, I’d take a photo.”

“Better not take photos. If Jiang Li’s Alpha sees it, he’ll definitely get jealous of Cen Lang.”

Since they couldn’t compete in any other way, jealousy was all that was left.

They reached the summit.

An official stopped Jiang Li: “Sir, breaking a tree branch incurs a fine of fifty credits.”

Jiang Li nodded. “Sorry, where do I pay?”

Cen Lang paused for a second. “I broke it; I’ll pay the fine.”

Jiang Li took out his phone to pay. “It’s okay; it doesn’t matter who pays.”

After paying the fine, Jiang Li asked, “Sorry, can I take it home?”

“Yes.”

Cen Lang: “It’s just an ordinary branch; why take it home?”

Could it be because he carved it?

Jiang Li: “To educate my son.”

Cen Lang held the child tighter, like a concerned citizen, advising, “Hitting a child won’t solve anything.”

Jiang Li: “No, I just want to tell him that if he doesn’t take the cable car and falls asleep halfway, it’s very tiring for Daddy to climb up with a walking stick unless he meets a kind person.”

Cen Lang, the rookie at parenting, immediately shut up: “Sorry, I misunderstood.”

The most frustrating thing about the little one was that he woke up at the crucial moment when Jiang Li was about to take the cable car down.

“Daddy.” The little one, who had just woken up, not noticing who was holding him, called out sweetly.

Cen Lang suddenly experienced a moment of fatherly affection, feeling his heart soften.

Jiang Wangxing opened his round eyes, seeing it wasn’t his daddy. He immediately sat up in Cen Lang’s arms and looked around for his daddy.

“Daddy’s here.” Jiang Li reached out to take him.

Jiang Wangxing happily leant over, but after being held for a while, he was put on the ground.

“Daddy’s arms are too tired.”

His arm muscles couldn’t be too strained, affecting his ability to conduct experiments steadily.

Jiang Wangxing, who liked being held upon waking up, swiftly rolled into another pair of arms when the first didn’t work.

“Hello, Uncle.”

“Hello.”

Jiang Li went to buy cable car tickets and said, “We’re heading down for lunch.”

Jiang Wangxing said, “Oh,” then added, “Goodbye, Uncle.”

He tried to wriggle out of Cen Lang’s arms.

For a moment, Cen Lang felt like something important was slipping from his grasp.

“Training’s over; you’re dismissed.”

Other Alphas were ecstatic. The extra training sessions led by Cen Lang were truly insane, thankfully won by their knack for staying informed to earn a holiday!

Intuition drove Cen Lang to buy a cable car ticket, stepping boldly into the same small cable car as Jiang Li.

“I suddenly have something to do down the mountain.”

The small cable car accommodates two to four people, and Cen Lang and Jiang Li, looking like a family, tactfully avoided disturbing others.

The cable car doors closed, and they gradually descended.

Strangely, he had never actively interacted with a young child before today.

“What’s your name?”

“Uncle, my name is Jiang Wangxing.”

Cen Lang plucked a star from his clothes and gave it to him to play with.

“How old are you?”

Jiang Li suddenly felt uneasy.

His gaze shifted from Jiang Wangxing’s face to Cen Lang’s face. Do they look alike?

Clearly, when he took the child out, those aunts would say, “Looks just like dad!”

How could it look like someone else?

Considering the attitudes of those Alphas cheering, a vague thought surfaced in Jiang Li’s mind.

Could this Alpha in front of him be from the underground city?

He was one of the few Alphas that Jiang Li couldn’t smell pheromones from.

As for whether he retired or not, if he could cure Alpha, it was not impossible for him to retire and return to work.

Jiang Li was just about to answer his son’s age question.

Jiang Wangxing held up ten fingers and said, “I’m 26 months old!”

He added six months all at once—what a kid, really!

Jiang Li breathed a sigh of relief. How could he forget that Jiang Wangxing liked to randomly add numbers? At one point, he thought this little guy had zero talent in mathematics.

“I’ll be having a birthday in four months! Dad, I still want to climb mountains.”

Jiang Li: “…”

Mathematics is really bad. Twenty-six months plus four months, a twenty-month-old child has a birthday; is it a multiple of twelve?!

Cen Lang raised an eyebrow: “Born in October? Uncle will give you a birthday present.”

Jiang Wangxing pointed to the short knife in Cen Lang’s pocket: “Uncle, what’s this?”

Cen Lang took it out: “A military knife.”

Jiang Wangxing: “Can I see it?”

Cen Lang was about to show it when he unconsciously glanced at Jiang Li’s expression.

His face clearly read, “Are you going to show him an open-blade knife?”

Cen Lang: “Kiddo, it’s broken.”
