During the time Su Qian was out filming, apart from occasionally seeing her on the friend circle, Jin Lie could be said to have lost all contact with her.

Mother Jin seemed thoughtful, “You and Su Qian haven’t been in contact for so long, have you?”

Jin Lie suddenly felt like he had been shot in the knee.

“What’s there to contact about, we both have our own work.”

Mother Jin chuckled coldly, “No wonder Qianqian doesn’t take the initiative to call you when she calls me. Is this how you treat your wife?! If I were you, I would immediately find time to visit the set if I hadn’t seen her for so long.”

Jin Lie felt like he was hearing some tall tales, “What’s there to visit? Besides, I’m very busy with work and don’t have time.”

Today, Su Qian’s scenes were mainly outdoors. Racing through the flying sand and stones, she was almost exhausted by the end of the day. To catch up with the schedule, the director temporarily added a scene where the female lead fights with the villain.

After shooting several scenes in a row, the director was not quite satisfied. The male actor who was acting with Su Qian started to complain, “If it really doesn’t work, just use a stunt double. How long are we going to shoot like this!”

The director’s gaze moved from the monitor to Su Qian, “What do you say?”

“Let’s try shooting it one more time.”

The male actor sneered, “What are you showing off here? You’re wasting everyone’s time.”

Su Qian looked at him, “Did the director explicitly say it was my problem?”

“Could it be mine?” The other party slammed the prop in his hand to the ground, “Either use a stunt double, or I’m not shooting!”

The prop was made of glass, and it shattered as soon as it hit the ground. The flying shards happened to scratch Su Qian’s hand, and blood immediately welled up.

“Can’t you talk nicely, what are you doing?!”

Su Qian’s assistant rushed over to stop the bleeding from her wound,  and glared angrily at the other party.

The male actor sneered, “Can’t handle this? If you’re so delicate, go home and rest, what are you doing here filming! Does everyone have as much free time as your master?”

“Oh, this set is really lively. How did it turn into a quarrel, just like a market.”

In the midst of the argument, a cold voice cut in. Everyone’s gaze converged on Jin Lie.

Zhao Xu was slightly taken aback and quickly got up, “Mr. Jin, how come you’re here?”

Jin Lie looked at Su Qian a few meters away. He hadn’t seen her for over a month, and she had lost a lot of weight, looking like she was all bones.

She asked with her eyes.

He replied with his eyes.

“You say I’m bullying her, aren’t you also bullying me?!” The male actor was furious, “The only difference is that you have capital!”

Jin Lie straightened his cuffs, and the corner of his mouth lifted sarcastically, “Director, it seems this role should be recast.”

“He said he wouldn’t act. Or are you saying… you don’t care about my investment.”

The director was sweating from Jin Lie’s words. The film had just started shooting and was about to withdraw funding, which could lead to delays, and who knows when it could be released.
