How to follow the script when dressing up as a disabled male protagonist? | Chapter 28.1: Aragami Loses Control

After finally locating the address marked on the map, Nakahara burst into the house occupied by outsiders. The trapped Sheep member, Kimura, rushed towards him, his face pleading. “Nakahara!”

Relieved to see him alive, Nakahara listened as Kimura anxiously warned, “Nakahara! Be careful, it’s all illusions here!”

Illusions?

He quickly glanced back at where he had entered, only to find the doorway vanished, replaced by a wall covered in dust.

“These tricks won’t work on me. Follow me, we’re going to confront the mastermind behind this.” Fearless of illusions, Nakahara didn’t hesitate to kick through the wall. With his keen blue eyes scanning the surroundings vigilantly, he didn’t allow Kimura to stay behind, knowing it wasn’t safe.

As he was about to lead his Sheep members up the stairs, a menacing figure with ginger hair, Jojima Inu, bared his teeth like a vicious dog, emanating a chilling hostility. Alongside him appeared Kashima Chizuru, wearing a hat with a row of striped codes on his cold face—a remnant of the experimentation they endured as children of the Estoraneo family. Survivors of the experiments, they were imprisoned together shortly after the family’s downfall by the Avengers Prison.

Both of them were willing to sacrifice their lives for Gaiki, to fulfill each other’s desire to “destroy the Mafia.”

“Kouma, it’s too troublesome. Let’s go together.”

Kashima Chizuru didn’t treat Nakahara like an ordinary physical powerhouse; there was no room for negligence in the world of Ability Users. Both he and Jojima Inu were relatively ordinary individuals in terms of abilities.

The alliance of enemies didn’t frighten Nakahara; instead, it ignited a cold, fierce determination in him.

“Let me teach you two outsiders a lesson—”

“The rules of the Sheep.”

Leaving Kimura, the Gravity Manipulator whom both the Harbor Mafia and the GSS organization feared to face directly, Nakahara charged up the stairs, turning into a black blur, his crimson aura blazing!

Upstairs, Hyakki, who was trying to reconcile with “Dororo,” suddenly faced the staircase and sensed the presence of the demon.

Instantly, he was filled with icy resolve.

[There’s a demon!]

Next, as Dororo walked out of the room without any obstacles, his spiritual vision cleared the target.

“It’s him again…”

Dororo peeked out with a slight smile before retreating. With his hair tied up, his facial features softened, appearing less sharp at the edges. As he passed by Hyakki, his spiritual vision “saw” the indigo mist on his body connected to Hyakki’s life flame, understanding that the latter had helped him.

Hyakki diverted some of his attention from the ongoing battle to Dororo.

From Hyakki’s perspective, Dororo looked at him expressionlessly for three seconds, his gray-brown lifeless pupils devoid of any human emotions, giving Hyakki an urge to draw his sword.

Don’t worry, you can’t draw it out.

Hyakki chuckled inwardly, and Dororo, without making a move, ran back to find Dazai.

“I still don’t want to thank someone like him.”

“Dororo…”

Dororo stopped playing with his phone at Dazai’s call, glanced at him, his face devoid of any conflict, quickly slipping into his role once again, casting aside the embarrassment of being liked by someone.

“Dororo, stop it!”

Dazai threw a candy at Dororo’s mouth, the candy rolling down and being caught by Dororo’s palm.

Dororo rubbed the candy between his fingers, realizing it might be one of the foods he had eaten in the past.

“Dororo gave it to me.”

“If not, Dororo would have stopped me from eating it.”

Who said Dororo didn’t know how to seize an opportunity? He possessed the common sense of an ordinary person, and this advantage was carefully hidden away, ready to be unleashed as a trump card at crucial moments.

For example, when he sensed the candy melting in his mouth, he couldn’t help but feel happy.

He didn’t conceal his joy at receiving this “precious item.”

“Dororo forgave me.”

The black-haired youth’s long-numbed nerves couldn’t quite muster a smile, but his eyes were filled with emotion. They say eyes are the windows to the soul, where one can find all emotions – joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness.

Smiling at Dazai, he conveyed his joy using the soul that had been locked away in darkness, radiating the resilient power of life.

Critical hit!

Dazai hastily averted his gaze, regretting for the first time that his grasp of psychology was too good. If he couldn’t understand Dororo, he could have treated him like a doll without guilt.

At this rate, he would lose interest in him eventually, and how would he ever get rid of Dororo?

“Kouma, later… go all out to attack your target.”

Dazai’s heart wavered, his gaze wandering. The sounds of the battle downstairs reminded him of his plan to manipulate the small one. He slapped his cheeks to regain the basic qualities of a mentalist as Mori taught him.

His eyes went from vacant to indifferent.

“Or kill him.”

By committing murder together, becoming accomplices, you’ll be just like me.

With overwhelming force, Chishu defeated the animalized Joukai Inu and Chigusa Kaki, who used yo-yos as assassination weapons, kicking them away one by one until they crashed into the wall with a resounding boom!

He climbed the creaking stairs, carrying the momentum of turning the tables to confront the mastermind behind the scenes.

The blue-haired youth in the uniform sat…
