In the afternoon, Wei Yuxian stayed in the principal’s office for more than an hour, finally completing all the exams. The teachers graded the papers swiftly, finishing in no time and providing the results on the spot.
As expected, she passed every subject! Not only that, but she also achieved excellent grades in each one!
The principal, holding Wei Yuxian’s papers, admired the neat handwriting and the correct answers. He was extremely satisfied. After exchanging a few more words with Wei Yuxian, he escorted her out of the office.
Now that it was almost time for school to end, the principal suggested that Wei Yuxian take a stroll around the campus to familiarize herself with the recent changes over the past year.
Wei Yuxian agreed, bringing along her four bodyguards. They drove around the campus, also giving Lu Chengxiao and the other three a chance to get familiar with the campus, as they would soon be her “classmates.”
Sitting in the car, Wei Yuxian looked at the familiar yet slightly changed campus, feeling a mix of nostalgia and novelty.
At the same time, she took on the role of a tour guide, introducing the school to her four bodyguards.
Besides Lu Chengxiao, whom she already knew, there was another male bodyguard named Lu Cheng. The two female bodyguards were named A Li and A Kong.
Wei Yuxian looked at the two seemingly delicate girls, about her age, and thought they were just there to make up the numbers.
She found it quite enjoyable to chat with them.
After touring the campus, it was time for school to end. Fu Xuanyi’s car was parked outside the school gates. Lu Chengxiao drove the car out and let Wei Yuxian get out.
Wei Yuxian switched cars and, seeing the person inside, realized she had missed him a bit even after just a day.
Upon seeing him, she couldn’t help but smile, her voice filled with an unrecognized joy as she called out, “Ah Xuan.”
Fu Xuanyi responded with a soft “hmm,” a faint smile curling his lips as he fastened her seatbelt and, in the same motion, kissed the corner of her mouth.
Wei Yuxian didn’t expect his sudden move. She covered the corner of her mouth that had been kissed, giving him a playful glare.
Fu Xuanyi, unfazed by her look, rubbed her head before starting the car.
Seeing that he wasn’t afraid at all, Wei Yuxian lost her temper. She reached up to smooth her hair where he had tousled it.
Driving with one hand, Fu Xuanyi sought her hand with the other, holding it as he asked, “How was your day? Are you tired?”
Instead of immediately answering, Wei Yuxian tried to pull her hand away, saying, “Let go. You’re driving. It’s too dangerous.”
Fu Xuanyi didn’t release her hand, saying, “It’s fine.”
Seeing that he could still drive smoothly with one hand, Wei Yuxian felt reassured and answered his question, “Not tired. I spent the whole day writing and answering tests. The principal’s office is very comfortable.”
“That’s good,” he replied.
Then, they chatted intermittently, making the atmosphere in the car feel warm and not at all cold.
Wei Yuxian noticed that this man had become much more talkative. In the past, getting a single word out of him was as difficult as climbing a mountain!
However, his newfound talkativeness was a good thing; at least she no longer had to guess what he was thinking.
As they were talking, Wei Yuxian’s phone chimed a few times. Someone had sent her a message.
She took out her phone and saw that it was a message from her counselor. She opened it and found that it was her class schedule.
She replied with a quick “Thank you, teacher,” then opened the file to take a look.
She was stunned as soon as she saw it!
Why were there so few classes this semester?
She counted them: a total of only eleven classes. Three classes on Monday, three on Tuesday, four on Wednesday, and one class on Thursday morning, and that was it!
Starting from Thursday afternoon, she could essentially begin her weekends!
Thinking back to her first semester of freshman year, she had a total of sixteen classes! That was a full five classes more than now!
How could this be…
She initially thought the counselor had made a mistake and went to inquire. After verifying it three times, the counselor confirmed the result: there was no mistake.
For this semester, she would indeed have only eleven classes per week.
The counselor then explained that during her freshman year, there were additional mandatory courses mandated by the government, all of which were scheduled into that first year.
After finishing these classes, they wouldn’t have any more to attend. The courses they were taking now were just the specialized knowledge they needed to learn.
After reading the counselor’s message, Wei Yuxian took a deep breath and replied with a “Thank you, teacher” to the counselor.
Putting down her phone, she still couldn’t quite recover from the shock of this news.
The man beside her noticed her unusual demeanor and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Wei Yuxian turned to look at him and said, “We have so few classes this semester. After the first class on Thursday morning, we can basically start the weekend!”
Having experienced nearly full schedules in her freshman year, this was simply unbelievable!
Fu Xuanyi: “Isn’t that great? It’s more relaxed.”
Wei Yuxian sighed softly, “I just can’t believe it. Having three and a half days off per week is like having half the week free!”
Fu Xuanyi smirked, amused by her cute expression.
Feeling much better knowing she had only half the usual class time per week, Wei Yuxian started planning what to do with her Fridays. It was valuable time that couldn’t be wasted.
She kept thinking about it until dinner at home but couldn’t come up with any clear plan or idea.
If she decided to go out, she wasn’t sure where to go, especially now that she wasn’t alone anymore—there were two little beloveds waiting at home.
But if she didn’t go out, should she study at home?
She thought it might be better to study at school where there was a more conducive atmosphere.
Back home, she temporarily set aside these thoughts and focused her attention on her two precious babies.
Not seeing her beloved little ones all day made her miss them dearly.
Since the two children still needed to breastfeed, she made sure to prepare their meals at home early in the morning before heading to school, ensuring peace of mind.
The doctor had advised that the most scientifically appropriate time to wean the babies was at ten months. Currently, her babies were just over three months old, so there was still a long way to go.
However, during these ten months, the babies wouldn’t only rely on breastfeeding. As they grew older, they would also start eating solid foods and drinking formula.
At the dinner table, Wei Yuxian ate while occasionally glancing at the small wooden crib beside her.
In that adorable little crib were her two precious babies, cute as can be.
Two little babies had nursed just over an hour ago and had fallen asleep shortly after, still soundly asleep until now.
Wei Yuxian gazed at her two babies with eyes full of tenderness.
Even while eating, she couldn’t bear to take her eyes off them.
She looked forward to the day when her two babies would call her “mom.” When that day came, she thought to herself, she would surely be very happy.
