Chapter 8: Auntie Is So Nice
Su Sanxian almost couldn’t hold back her laughter. This little fatty was just too adorable.
But recalling the first time she talked with Sanzai and the others, when Sanzai had said he could fight and that no one in kindergarten could beat him, it was probably all for her sake.
Today’s matter had to be resolved once and for all. In the original story, Sanzai started fighting as early as kindergarten and kept at it all the way through high school. Later, he directly developed the habit of using violence to fight violence.
Su Sanxian scanned the room full of children, noticing the guilty yet timid looks in their eyes after Zhao Shize cried and apologized. She smiled gently.
They were all kind and well-behaved children.
“Auntie really was crazy before.” she said: “but that was because Auntie was sick, just like catching a cold or having a fever. Have any of you ever been sick?”
“Yes—”
“Right, everyone’s been sick before. Auntie too. Catching a cold or fever is an illness of the body, but Auntie had a sickness of the mind. Now that I’m better, Auntie’s well again. And just like you catch a cold because you didn’t cover yourself properly or wear enough clothes and your body got chilled, Auntie’s illness came from emotional hurt. This kind of sickness is harder to get than a cold, harder to heal, but once it’s healed, it won’t come back easily.”
“As for what you’re worried about, whether my illness will be inherited by Lin Zhaoyang and the others—if it’s not a hereditary disease, it won’t be passed down. Do you kids understand what Auntie means?”
“We understand, Auntie—”
The children looked at her together and stretched their voices in reply. Then the child who usually played with Zhao Shize the most, seeing that his big brother had apologized and Auntie had explained her illness, strode over to The Three Cubs to apologize.
Once there was the first, there came the second, and soon all the other children joined the line to apologize.
Children who weren’t troublemakers were all such little sweethearts.
The misunderstanding was cleared up, and soon they were all friends again, chatting and laughing together.
The adults gathered together as well, chatting with the teachers about their children’s behavior at school.
Over at The Three Cubs’ side:
“Lin Zhaoyang, from now on, I’m your big brother. I’ll protect you from now on.” Zhao Shize said happily, patting Sanzai on the shoulder, growing more and more smug.
Dazai and Erzai glanced at him. “No need. We’ll protect him.”
Sanzai also spoke up. “You can’t even beat me, and you want to protect me?”
“Pfft!” Zhao Shize pouted. True, he couldn’t beat Lin Zhaoyang or his two brothers, but he had a lot of younger followers! Hmph!
Other children, who had been waiting for them to finish talking, couldn’t help but ask The Three Cubs: “Lin Zhaoxing, Lin Zhaoyue, Lin Zhaoyang, can I come play at your house in the future? Auntie is so nice! She speaks gently and is so reasonable!”
“Yeah, yeah, Auntie is so nice, so gentle! My mom is like a big tiger. Liu Yang, did you sneak ice cream again?”
“Hahaha, you snuck ice cream again? Didn’t you say last time you hated ice cream the most?”

Meanwhile, parents had already started leaving one after another. After Su Sanxian and Lin Shen said their goodbyes, she turned to the teacher and said: “Teacher Li, we’d like to request a leave for the three children today. I’m worried they might still feel a bit upset, so we’d like to take them out for a bit of fun.”
The teacher was very understanding. “Of course… Lin Zhaoyang’s mom, you should pay more attention to them. I think they’re a bit too withdrawn.”
It seemed the teacher had also noticed the children’s issues. Su Sanxian nodded.
Lin Shen had already gone to fetch the three children.
“Dad, we’re not going to class today?” Erzai asked.
After Su Sanxian saw the teacher off, she walked over to her husband and the three children. “Nope. Today, Dad and Mom are taking you to… to the amusement park.”
The Three Cubs: !!!
The amusement park!?
The amusement park they had never been to!?
They had often heard other children talking about it, but they couldn’t join in the conversations. Later, they had gone to their father and asked to go to the amusement park.
But Dad had no time, and although Butler Grandpa Zhang was supposed to take them, they only wanted their father to go with them…
In the end, they hadn’t gone to the amusement park, and they never brought it up again.
They hadn’t expected that today Dad and Mom would take them!

Since it was a Monday, there were still quite a lot of people at the amusement park, but not the overwhelming crowds of a holiday. The Three Cubs were bursting with excitement. As soon as their father bought the tickets, they pulled both parents along and charged toward the amusement park gates.
“Ahhh—” A roller coaster roared past, and the crowd’s screams rose and fell in rhythm with its ups and downs.
“Wow! Mom, I want to ride the roller coaster!” Sanzai, worried it wouldn’t be thrilling enough, was the first to shout for the roller coaster.
“Mom, I want to ride the carousel!” Erzai, looking at the dreamy double-decker carousel in the distance, thought Mom would definitely like it.
“Sanzai, kids aren’t allowed to ride the roller coaster yet. You have to grow up a bit more first. Let’s go ride the carousel Erzai mentioned, okay?”
Carousel? Riding a horse was fine too. Sanzai nodded. The family of five held hands and went together to the carousel line.
The queue moved quickly, and soon it was their turn.
Sanzai, bold as ever, chose a tall, dark brown horse, but his two short legs bounced and hopped without being able to get on.
Dazai, perfectly aware of his own height, chose a small white horse that suited him.
Erzai, sticking close to Mom, picked a black horse.
Lin Shen, watching his wife get whisked away by Erzai, glanced at Sanzai bouncing helplessly and went over to help him mount the horse.
But by the time he finished helping, all the horses were taken. He had no choice but to head toward the princess carriage behind Sanzai.
Unable to sit with his wife and without a horse, Lin Shen’s resentment deepened. He turned around and hoisted the culprit who had delayed him—Sanzai—onto the princess carriage as well.
Just then, the carousel started spinning.
Sanzai: ???
Where was his horse? Where was his tall, majestic horse?
That day, The Three Cubs had the time of their lives. Lin Shen and Su Sanxian took them through nearly every attraction suitable for children.
Finally, everyone agreed to ride the Ferris wheel.
By now, night had fallen, and the amusement park’s light show had already begun. From the Ferris wheel, the dazzling, colorful scenery below was clearly visible.
Suddenly, Erzai turned around and kissed both Mom and Dad on the cheek.
“I saw on TV that kissing on the Ferris wheel means you’ll be together forever.” Erzai said shyly, glancing at his slightly confused family.
At the mention of being together forever, Dazai and Sanzai were astonished. They quickly leaned over to kiss both Mom and Dad too.
Su Sanxian, looking at The Three Cubs who had kissed her and Lin Shen, shy and excited, leaned over and kissed each of them in return.
Immediately, she saw three pairs of eyes light up—not only bright but sparkling—as they all looked at Lin Shen. ヾ(。✪ω✪。)シヾ(。✪ω✪。)シヾ(。✪ω✪。)シ
Lin Shen chuckled softly and bent down to kiss each of the three children.
Then he turned his head, locking eyes with Su Sanxian.
Su Sanxian: !!!
No way, big guy! Don’t kiss me!
Seeing her wide eyes screaming: “What are you doing? Don’t you come over!” Lin Shen couldn’t hold back his laughter.
Then, to her utter shock, he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
“To be together forever.”
“Ding! Mission: Host successfully enjoyed happy playtime with the three villains. Please ensure the three villains feel a sense of security.”
