Chapter 28 – 028
“Me? How could I possibly compare to you, the esteemed Third Young Master Xie?” Gu Xian replied sarcastically, patting Xie Yunjing’s chest. “Don’t try to change the subject. I’m the one asking you the question.”
“And why should I tell you?”
“Ah, it’s because I’m such a good person,” Gu Xian suddenly slapped Xie Yunjing on the buttocks, a mischievous grin on his face. “If you’re really feeling unbearably frustrated, I can be merciful and help you out.”
“…” Gu Xian had never been shy about taking liberties with his buttocks.
“And how would you help?”
“What do you mean, ‘how’? Third Young Master Xie, no way… you really don’t even know this? Looks like you truly have zero experience.” The teasing expression on Gu Xian’s face grew even more pronounced. “Of course, it’s—helping like this!”
“!? Gu Xian!” Gu Xian’s hand actually went straight for the most dangerous spot.
Xie Yunjing caught him just in time, grabbing his hand the moment Gu Xian made his first move. He was furious, seemingly because of Gu Xian’s over-the-top action, but there was something more behind his anger. “So you’re saying you’re experienced? You do this kind of ‘helping out’ often?”
Gu Xian, with a completely matter-of-fact expression, replied, “Isn’t mutual assistance in college dorms pretty common? Oh, wait, I forgot, you never stayed in a dorm in college… Hey, damn it! Why are you gripping so hard!?”
Xie Yunjing’s grip on his wrist suddenly became frighteningly strong, so much so that Gu Xian couldn’t keep his expression neutral. He hissed in protest, “Damn it, let go!”
It felt like Xie Yunjing was about to crush his bones!
“You—you’re not… incapable, are you? Is that why you’re so worked up!?” Gu Xian, overwhelmed by the pain, began spouting nonsense.
Xie Yunjing stared at him. “You’ve ‘helped’ a lot of people like this?”
Gu Xian, frustrated by the pain, almost blurted out, “So what if I have?” But when he met Xie Yunjing’s gaze, he couldn’t help but change his tune. “Why should I tell you?”
In truth, he had never “helped” anyone like that. His body seemed to lack any real desire, and rather than getting himself all sticky and animalistic like some irrational beast, he much preferred spending the time playing a couple more rounds of games. The people around him weren’t that casual, either. His only exposure to such situations was during university when he went to retrieve a borrowed game card from a classmate and accidentally walked in on something.
But he had already mocked Xie Yunjing for being an inexperienced novice, so how could he admit that he was one as well?
“I’m not capable?” Xie Yunjing normally wouldn’t bother responding to such crass provocations, let alone tolerate anyone daring to make such insinuations about him. But coming from Gu Xian, it was different.
Gu Xian snorted. “It’s fine if you’re not capable. With how advanced medicine is nowadays, as long as you don’t avoid seeking treatment, there’s hope for a cure sooner or later, what the—!?”
His expression changed suddenly. “What the hell are you doing?!”
Xie Yunjing held him down, sneering coldly. “Why so nervous? Don’t you always do this to me?”
“You’re full of crap!”
At most, he’d give a squeeze or a slap—nothing like the way Xie Yunjing was kneading him like dough!
“Let go of me!” Gu Xian was starting to panic.
“You’re the one who said you wanted to help me.” Gu Xian’s physical strength was already lacking, especially after he was completely worn out. His struggling was so weak that, in Xie Yunjing’s eyes, it wasn’t even on par with a kitten kneading. “But if we’re really doing this, it’s going to be the full package. Are you going to take it from me?”
Gu Xian’s face turned red, though it was more out of anger. “Why the hell can’t I be the one doing it to you?!”
Even in this situation, Gu Xian refused to admit defeat. This was precisely what made him the most exasperating to Xie Yunjing, and also why Xie Yunjing found himself endlessly entertained by their constant bickering.
“Mm!!” Gu Xian suddenly let out a sound, though it was unclear whether it was from pain or something else.
His face turned even redder, and for the first time, genuine panic appeared in his eyes. “What the hell—stop it! Let me go!”
Gu Xian’s expression at this moment was truly a rare sight, and Xie Yunjing, of course, had no intention of stopping as Gu Xian wished. Instead, he doubled down, mocking him mercilessly: “With your pathetic stamina, you think you can take charge?”
“Xie Yunjing!” Gu Xian was genuinely panicking now. He was horrified to realize that Xie Yunjing’s relentless “kneading” was actually starting to provoke a reaction from him!
He raised his eyes in anger, only to be met with a warm breath brushing against his face.
Xie Yunjing’s face was suddenly extremely close to his, and his gaze held a faint trace of excitement, like a predator locking onto its prey.
“…” Gu Xian’s words got stuck in his throat, and an inexplicable chill ran down his spine.
Something was off! There was definitely something wrong with Xie Yunjing!
The unusual behavior of his arch-enemy made Gu Xian uncharacteristically choose to back down. He decided to abandon his head-on approach and try speaking calmly instead.
“Xie—”
However, as soon as he opened his mouth, Xie Yunjing curled his lips into a wicked smile. “Scared?”
“…”
Who’s scared!!!
Gu Xian’s brain, which had just calmed down, immediately boiled over again. He glared fiercely at Xie Yunjing. “If you’ve got the guts, don’t run later!”
Later? Xie Yunjing raised his eyebrow, somewhat confused about what Gu Xian meant by “later.” Surely, this guy couldn’t actually be planning to…??
Before Xie Yunjing could fully process the thought, his entire body froze in place as if turned to stone, even forgetting about the dull ache in his teeth from the earlier clash. Gu Xian, however, wasn’t about to let him off so easily. Taking advantage of Xie Yunjing’s stunned state, his soft tongue forcefully pried open Xie Yunjing’s teeth, intruding upon and disturbing the equally frozen tongue of its owner.
Xie Yunjing could even hear the faint sound of lips parting and meeting again.
Somewhere in the chaos, Gu Xian seemed to touch something, sparking a strange sensation in Xie Yunjing’s mind, like fireworks exploding. He suddenly snapped back to reality and forcefully pushed away the person he had been holding tightly just moments before.
“Gu… Gu Xian, are you crazy?!”
Gu Xian, like a victorious peacock, proudly lifted his head. “Now who’s scared?”
There was even a faint trace of moisture lingering at the corner of Gu Xian’s mouth, which he hadn’t bothered to wipe away.
Xie Yunjing felt like a vein in his head was about to burst from the pressure.
Xie Yunjing’s embarrassed expression only fueled Gu Xian’s smugness. With a mocking laugh, he said, “Who was the one biting me first? And now you’re chickening out?”
“What the—!” Gu Xian yelped in surprise as the world suddenly spun around him. “Xie Yunjing, have you no sense of honor?!”
Ignoring the protests, Xie Yunjing hoisted Gu Xian onto his shoulder and strode straight to the shower room attached to the gym. He unceremoniously tossed the person on his shoulder inside and quickly slammed the door shut.
“Wash up! You reek of sweat!”
“Damn it! Is this how you play dirty? Can’t win an argument, so you lock me in here?!” Gu Xian pounded on the door furiously from inside.
He muttered a few more curses, but Xie Yunjing ignored him completely. Even though Gu Xian tried, the shower room door was firmly held shut by Xie Yunjing from the outside. Left with no other choice, he begrudgingly started taking a shower.
The sound of running water in the shower gradually became clearer, yet Xie Yunjing still didn’t let go of the shower door handle.
Something about the situation felt increasingly off.
Xie Yunjing pressed his lips together, then suddenly ran a hand roughly through his hair in frustration.
The moment he noticed the trace of moisture at the corner of Gu Xian’s mouth, his first reaction wasn’t anger, nor was it humiliation. It wasn’t even the urge to wipe away that bit of moisture, though that thought alone was already unsettling enough.
What he actually thought at that moment…
Was to lick away that trace of moisture with his tongue and then seal that infuriating mouth again.

Ah, Xiao Gu, is this really about winning or losing an argument? Take care of yourself. (Mom’s advice.jpg)
