Chapter 6: The Number One Handsome
In order to take The Three Cubs to kindergarten the next day, the usually late-rising Su Sanxian had set an early alarm.
She washed up, did her skincare, applied makeup, then carefully matched an outfit and even sprayed perfume.
That day, she was determined to be the most glamorous mom in kindergarten, to properly make a name for her Three Kids.
When Su Sanxian came downstairs, Lin Shen and The Three Cubs were already sitting together on the sofa, waiting for her to come down for breakfast.
Her long, smooth black hair, which leaned slightly toward a coffee hue, had been styled into large waves. Her facial features had been enhanced, making her originally soft appearance strikingly bright and confident.
She wore a black-and-red color-blocked dress and black high heels. Every movement exuded elegance and a touch of icy nobility.
However, when she saw The Three Cubs, her radiant smile immediately made her seem more approachable.
“Mom, you’re so pretty!” The Three Cubs ran up to Su Sanxian, all staring in awe at their mom who looked different from usual.
Su Sanxian was very satisfied with their reactions. She ruffled their heads one by one and led her little ones to the dining table.
“Thank you, my babies. You’re all very handsome too.”
Lin Shen followed them quietly, his compliment having been stolen by the three children, and he could only come in afterward to salvage the situation.
“What about me…”
The sudden voice from behind startled Su Sanxian.
Wait—who was this big guy?
Oh. It was her husband.
Su Sanxian was a little speechless. “Handsome. The number one, undefeated, most handsome in the entire universe!”
Watching their dad’s childish behavior, The Three Cubs were just as speechless as their mom.
So they happily decided: “Mom! What about us? How handsome are we?”
The bright-eyed little expressions The Three Cubs raised to her were simply too adorable.
Looking at her three precious sons, Su Sanxian’s tone turned light and playful. “You three are all number one handsome, the most handsome in Mom’s heart.”
“Even more handsome than Dad?” Sanzai asked cutely.
“Of course. In Mom’s heart, you three are the most handsome!” Su Sanxian cupped her cheeks and answered without a trace of hesitation.
“Then…”
Lin Shen picked up soup dumplings for The Three Cubs one by one. “Hurry and eat, you three. Are you going to school or not?”
Lin Shen was exasperated. What kind of sin had he committed to have ended up with these Three Kids?
The Three Cubs exchanged glances, giggled secretly, then quieted down and began eating properly.
Su Sanxian also stifled her laughter, her grin stretching so wide it was visible even behind her soup dumpling.
Lin Shen: “…”
His wife and kids were all laughing at him. What could he do? Endure it, of course.
When they officially left the house, the five of them went together. Lin Shen drove himself and didn’t let the driver take them.
He thought his wife was absolutely right. If even their own household was gossiping about The Three Cubs, what about school? Wouldn’t it be even worse there?
Unlike the heavy thoughts weighing on the two adults, The Three Cubs were overjoyed! That day, they could finally be like the other children, going to school with both their mom and dad accompanying them.
It was their very first time experiencing this since they started school!

When they arrived at kindergarten, The Three Cubs excitedly and energetically opened the car doors and hopped out, moving several times faster than their usual sluggishness and reluctance.
If the driver who usually dropped them off had seen this, he would have been shocked, eyes wide—was this really the same little master who never liked going to school?
“Mom, Dad, let’s hurry over there!”
Seeing The Three Cubs’ excitement, Lin Shen felt a little dazed. He deeply realized how much he had neglected the three children. He had been picking them up and dropping them off all along, so why had he never noticed this simple joy before?
Thinking carefully, he realized that in the four years Su Sanxian had been “ill.” he had been living in a haze. His concern for the three children had only ever been financial.
Before he could think further, The Three Cubs, under Su Sanxian’s guidance, had already formed a hand-holding line. Erzai stood in the middle, Sanzai stood by Su Sanxian’s side holding her hand, and Dazai was on his side, having already grabbed his hand while he was lost in thought.
At that moment, Dazai was looking up at him with a puzzled expression. “Dad, what’s wrong?” he asked, noticing his father’s pained expression.
“It’s nothing. Dad just suddenly remembered something.” Lin Shen used his other hand to ruffle his son’s hair and looked toward Su Sanxian and the other children. “Let’s go.”
Hand in hand, the family of five, chatting and laughing, walked toward the kindergarten entrance. Their high attractiveness immediately caught the attention of others nearby.
“Lin Zhaoxing, are those your Mom and Dad?” A tender-voiced little boy walked over and asked.
“Yes. Dad, Mom, this is An Ruo.” Dazai introduced him.
Hearing this brief introduction, An Ruo glanced at Dazai speechlessly and said for himself: “Hello, Uncle, Auntie. I’m An Ruo, Lin Zhaoxing’s deskmate. Uncle, Auntie, you’re so beautiful.”
“You’ve got good taste. My Mom and Dad are the best-looking people in the world.” Dazai puffed up proudly after hearing An Ruo’s compliment to his parents.
However, Su Sanxian and Lin Shen were stunned. They had never expected their normally calm and steady Dazai to have such… such a cheeky side.
Su Sanxian even forgot to correct An Ruo’s compliment about Lin Shen being “beautiful.” and just watched with wide-eyed surprise as the two boys bantered.
As for Erzai and Sanzai, they looked completely used to it, even chiming in to support An Ruo, fanning the flames.
Dazai, outnumbered three to one: … Good friends, huh?
The four children chirped and chattered endlessly, making Lin Shen’s temples twitch. He could barely handle The Three Cubs’ chatter, let alone four of them at once.
He rubbed his temples, feeling somewhat dazed himself.
The weather was warm. It was about time to get the kids into the kindergarten.
Lin Shen forcibly cut through the noise and, with determined insistence, sent the four kids into the kindergarten, handing them over to the teachers for “torture.”
Su Sanxian watched in amusement as Lin Shen, looking dazed, passed the four children to the teachers and then absentmindedly pulled her back to the car.
It wasn’t until they had driven out of the street near the kindergarten that Lin Shen’s whole demeanor brightened. His body radiated relief, the exact same expression of pure relaxation Su Sanxian had seen in her past life—the feeling of finally sending the little “divine beasts” back into their den.
Hahahahahaha. Su Sanxian couldn’t help but laugh wildly in her heart. No matter what status or identity one had, in front of children, you could only bow your head.
Unlike the ease Lin Shen and Su Sanxian felt, the kindergarten side was brimming with tension.
“Lin Zhaoyang, were those your Mom and Dad who brought you to school?” This was Zhao Shize, the boy who always butted heads with Sanzai.
Because he was chubby from overeating, he looked like a little bully and was constantly bickering with Sanzai.
“So what if they were? What’s it to you?” Sanzai crossed his arms and stared at him with disdain.
“Your Mom isn’t crazy anymore?” Zhao Shize asked in astonishment.
“My Mom was never crazy. My Mom was just sick before!” Sanzai put his hands on his hips. Dazai and Erzai’s faces were also filled with anger.
“That’s the same as being crazy.” Zhao Shize frowned, thinking Lin Zhaoyang was lying.
“Yeah, and crazy people on TV hit others.”
“I’ve seen that too! And it’s hereditary. I wonder if Lin Zhaoyang and his brothers will inherit their Mom’s mental illness.”
“So will Lin Zhaoyang and his brothers become crazy too?”
As Zhao Shize finished speaking, murmurs spread through the crowd of children.
“Don’t you dare talk about my Mom like that!” Sanzai was like a furious little calf, eyes turning red with anger but not knowing who to charge at.
Children were like blank sheets of paper, without a worldview or values—pure, yet empty. They only repeated what they believed, and though they were innocent, their words could be cruel.
