It was another weekend, and the Dark Street Fighting Gym was bustling with people.
Although there were usually many people during holidays, today there were at least three times more people crowded here than usual. Even the online viewers in the live broadcast room were increasing rapidly.
“Let us congratulate SpongeBob on his successful promotion!”
As the last opponent, a Gifted, fell to the ground, losing the ability to fight, the host stood up with a beaming face and announced loudly, “Tonight, she becomes the first Diamond Fighter of Star 1999!”
Instantly, applause and cheers filled the air.
For a remote star like Star 1999, the birth of a Diamond Fighter was truly a cause for celebration. And to think that she became a Diamond Fighter at the fourth junior level was unheard of. Having such a formidable character in the local dark street was a matter of great pride.
At least eighty percent of the people in the dark street came to watch the excitement today, each filled with pride.
As if in response, the tall figure in the central arena slightly bowed to the surroundings.
The dark street valued personal privacy greatly. With molecular recombinant sunglasses and advanced holographic technology, it was impossible to determine the opponent’s height and weight here. Only a blurred light and shadow could be seen.
After leaving the arena, the cheers continued.
Walking through a corridor made of cold steel, they finally reached the backstage of the fighting gym.
The supervisor approached with a beaming face, “SpongeBob, congratulations!”
Having a Diamond Fighter from his jurisdiction was a matter of pride for the supervisor, especially since this promising talent was personally mentored by him. He had to boast a few words to everyone he met.
After the usual compliments and pleasantries, he casually asked, “Do you have any idea when your next match might be? We need to prepare in advance.”
Once a fighter reached the Diamond rank in the fighting gym, they could activate synchronized holographic live broadcasts. Matches could be watched and bets placed in any dark street fighting gym across the entire interstellar network. This method clearly brought in substantial profits compared to regular matches that could only be watched live.
The supervisor knew the entertainment value of SpongeBob fights and had great expectations for her potential. He planned to personally buy a recommendation spot on the Star Network for the next match, as she could become a money-making machine for the fighting gym in the future.
“No need.”
Unexpectedly, the fighter wearing sunglasses declined, “I won’t be competing on Star 1999 in the coming years.”
The supervisor panicked, “Which fighting gym? We can offer double!”
“You misunderstood, no fighting gym is trying to recruit me.” Yuan Hanshuang paused for a moment, then smiled, “My high school exam results were announced. If nothing unexpected happens, I will board a starship and head to the Central Galaxy to pursue further education tomorrow.”
If it were for any other reason, they might be able to persuade her to stay. But obstructing someone’s pursuit of education was like killing their parents. Even the experienced supervisor in the martial arts field had no choice. He could only watch as she left.
As the figure disappeared behind the metal door, he shook his head and sighed, “Ah, why didn’t I think of it? SpongeBob’s fighting style is too mature and skilled, always making people overlook her age.”
He clicked his tongue, “A seventeen-year-old Diamond Fighter, what does Star 1999 have to offer her?”
Such a prodigy was destined to venture into the Central Galaxy.
The future was unpredictable.
Famous now, they are still able to bask in the limelight in this remote corner of the galaxy.
As he pondered, the supervisor felt at ease.
After leaving the fighting arena, Yuan Hanshuang returned to her residence in the Black Street.
Her current appearance was reflected on the screen. Compared to five years ago, she had grown completely, and the slightly childish jawline had become sharp and smooth. The only difference was her jet-black hair, as dark as the night.
Out of a cautious intuition for danger, she had changed her appearance completely and abandoned her past identity in the past five years. She didn’t return to the security bureau to reactivate her deactivated account, nor did she go back to the resettlement area. Instead, she moved directly to the Black Street.
There were many undocumented residents in the Black Street, and one could obtain a new identity card by paying money.
When registering for a new identity card, Yuan Hanshuang specifically bought a bottle of hair dye to cover her eye-catching golden hair and revert back to the color she was most familiar with in her past life, enough to avoid drawing attention.
“Ding, facial recognition passed.”
The room was not small. She deliberately chose a two-bedroom apartment, which was more expensive than a single room.
Yuan Hanshuang picked up the vacant space pocket for luggage and finally looked around her residence of the past five years before pressing the button to terminate the lease on the screen.
She had waited for her father for a whole five years but he never returned.
She couldn’t find him, and there was not even a trace of information.
An invisible hand held an eraser, casually wiping away all traces of a person, making everyone associated with them tight-lipped, either disappearing without a trace or leaving no evidence behind.
– Only the national machine possessed such power.
At the beginning, Yuan Hanshuang could still console herself, saying that it might be due to the inefficiency of the Imperial Military Department. But now, after five years, she had enough time to retrace every step of the incident, leading her to make the most absurd and seemingly impossible guess.
While guessing her father’s identity, Yuan Hanshuang was grateful countless times that she didn’t actively go to the Luminous Temple contact point to seek help when she woke up at the bottom of the ruins. She was grateful that after she came back, she keenly noticed that something was amiss and chose not to return to the security bureau to restore her deceased status.
With the help of the Black Street’s intelligence network, Yuan Hanshuang started her investigation step by step using the available data she could access. Finally, she had some leads. But having leads alone was far from enough.
Fortunately, she had another path.
Leaving the Black Street, Yuan Hanshuang squinted and looked up at the sun outside, boarding the sky orbit heading to the Star Port.
The Star port naturally had no shortage of starships heading to the Central Star System.
However, to go to the Central Star System, one needed to go through a verification process. The process was somewhat similar to obtaining a visa in the previous life.
The ticket attendant politely stopped her, “Hello, the Central Star System includes the Federal Capital Star and the Imperial Capital Star, which are important military and political centers of the interstellar. When purchasing a ticket, we need to verify your identification documents and the reason for your purchase.”
Yuan Hanshuang had already prepared herself and opened the Information page , displaying her newly obtained credentials and transcript.
“I am a recent graduate this year, preparing to go to the Central Star System for further studies.”
“Congratulations on your graduation.” The ticket attendant didn’t think too much and directly lowered their head to register.
However, just as she finished recording the identification number and was about to verify the code, she was suddenly dazzled by the psychic talent level on the transcript.
“.A-level Shapeshifting?!”
At this moment, many prospective university students were queuing to buy tickets, and they all heard it and were astonished.
Take a deep breath.
A-grade manifestation is extremely rare in the entire interstellar space, let alone appearing on such a remote and secluded planet.
“Psst… Do we have any A-grade graduates on our planet this year?”
“I’ve never heard of such a big shot before.”
“I’m not sure, maybe they’re from a noble family. Nobles usually receive private education. I’m curious about the level of their cultivation. A-level talents progress much faster than us, at least several times faster.”
