After Getting Pregnant, The Celibate Buddhist Fiercely Dotes on His Beloved Wife Chapter 105

Chapter 105: I Am Yuxian… Your Biological Daughter…

At the appointed time, Wei Yuxian, Fu Xuanyi, and a group of people boarded a private jet to a small county in the south.

The group was large, too large for Wei Yuxian to count, and most of them were unfamiliar faces.

There were only a few familiar faces: Mr. and Mrs. Fu, Lu Chengxiao, Lin Chengyuan, Aunt Fu, and a few servants from the house.

Guan Jinyou also came along, and the rest were bodyguards, there to ensure their safety.

The plane was packed with people. Wei Yuxian was touched to see Mr. and Mrs. Fu joining them.

As the plane took off and ascended above the clouds, it was Wei Yuxian’s first time on an airplane, but she wasn’t in the mood to be curious. Instead, she sat by the window, gazing at the clouds outside.

She was lost in thought, her mind heavy with concerns.

Fu Xuanyi sat beside her, closely watching her every move.

After gazing out the window for a while, Wei Yuxian’s eyes grew tired, and she closed them, falling asleep shortly after.

She hadn’t been sleeping well these days, and last night she slept even less, waking up early in the morning. Now, she finally couldn’t hold on any longer.

Seeing that she was asleep, Fu Xuanyi gently lifted her and placed her on his lap, letting her sleep in his arms.

They were in first-class seats, with few people around, just the few acquaintances of Wei Yuxian and Guan Jinyou. It was quiet there, and no one disturbed her sleep.

Wei Yuxian’s sleep was still not very good; as she slept, for some reason, she began to cry again.

Fu Xuanyi gently soothed her, stopping her tears.

After a morning’s journey, the plane landed at an airport, and Wei Yuxian had slept for the entire morning.

After waking up, she felt a bit more refreshed, but her expression remained somewhat listless, showing little interest in her surroundings.

The journey wasn’t over after the plane; since Wei Guo’an and Lin Xia’s graves were in a small county without an airport, they had to continue by high-speed rail.

After the high-speed rail, they still had to take a car, and it wasn’t until nightfall that they finally arrived at the small county.

It was a truly exhausting journey.

This was still considered good; when Wei Yuxian had traveled to the capital on her own, she took a green train, which took even longer.

After a day of travel, everyone was exhausted. After settling into the pre-rented villa, having dinner, and taking showers, they all went to bed to rest.

It was too late today, and after a day of fatigue, they weren’t in a hurry to rush to the gravesite immediately.

Wei Yuxian, now pregnant, had endured a day of travel, with her nerves constantly on high alert, and her body was struggling to cope. She was even dozing off while taking a shower.

But when she finally lay in bed, she couldn’t fall asleep.

Her body was tired, and her eyes were heavy, but she just couldn’t fall asleep—a frustrating feeling.

She tossed and turned in bed, keeping her eyes closed to relieve the fatigue.

She wanted to fall asleep quickly, but her body seemed to be working against her, refusing to let her drift off.

This made her somewhat irritable, and she opened her eyes, staring at the ceiling in the darkness.

In the south, there was no floor heating or central heating, only the warm air from the air conditioner, but it wasn’t as cold here as in the capital, and the air conditioner’s warmth was sufficient.

But Wei Yuxian still felt a bit cold and wrapped the blanket tighter around herself. Suddenly, the man behind her leaned closer, opened his arms, and pulled her into his embrace.

The man’s embrace was warm, like a large furnace, and instantly, Wei Yuxian felt incredibly warm, not cold at all.

“Can’t sleep?” The man’s deep voice sounded in her ear.

Wei Yuxian responded with a muffled “hmm,” her voice still tinged with drowsiness, as if she had just woken up.

In reality, she was just too tired to sleep, which made her voice sound that way.

Fu Xuanyi turned her shoulders, making her face him. She turned over in confusion and met his gaze in the darkness.

The next second, a kiss landed, and her breath hitched, her body tensing up!

The man’s kiss was somewhat intense. She wanted to refuse, but he didn’t give her the chance, instead deepening it!

In her daze, her consciousness grew more muddled, her strength fading, and she fell asleep.

Fu Xuanyi ended the kiss and looked at her closely, caressing her face with tenderness.

Fortunately, she had fallen asleep.

The night wind was fierce, howling outside the window, rustling the leaves and scattering them across the ground.

The next day, Wei Yuxian donned a set of black clothes, layering up to ward off the cold, before boarding the car to the cemetery.

In the car, her mind was also uneasy. The closer they got to the cemetery, the faster her heart beat, and her sadness grew.

Fu Xuanyi put his arm around her shoulders, letting her lean on him, saying, “It’s okay, my dear.”

Wei Yuxian wasn’t in the mood to respond; she just murmured “hmm” and started to space out again.

After about half an hour, the group arrived at the cemetery in a grand procession. Led by the bodyguards, Wei Yuxian finally reached her parents’ graves.

Upon seeing the two tombstones side by side, Wei Yuxian’s tears could no longer be held back, falling like a string of beads.

She covered her mouth with her hand to keep herself from crying too loudly.

A somber atmosphere enveloped the cemetery. Mrs. Fu also couldn’t help but shed a few tears, comforted by Mr. Fu’s embrace.

Wei Yuxian was also held by Fu Xuanyi’s arm around her shoulders, with his other hand wiping away her tears.

Wei Yuxian looked at the small tombstone in front of her and the black-and-white photos on it, her eyes blurred with tears.

She felt weak, lacking the strength to stand on her own, so she leaned on Fu Xuanyi, relying heavily on the man.

Now, he was the only one she could rely on.

“…Dad, Mom,” she choked out the names, “I’m Yuxian… your biological daughter… I’m so late… in coming to see you… I’m such an unfilial daughter…”

She spoke haltingly, each sentence followed by a moment of sorrow, needing to control her emotions before she could continue.

It was a struggle to finish that one sentence.

Fu Xuanyi also stared at the tombstone. After a while, he said, “I will take good care of her.”

He made a promise at the graves of the elderly couple that he would take care of Wei Yuxian in the future, allowing them to rest assured and entrust their daughter to him.

He would be good to her, for the rest of his life.

A drizzle began to fall from the sky, landing on their hair and the tombstone.

The bodyguard handed over an umbrella, which Fu Xuanyi took and held over Wei Yuxian.

Wei Yuxian continued to cry, unable to speak, not knowing what to say.

Mrs. Fu and Mr. Fu approached, and the former said, “In-laws, rest assured, our Fu family will not mistreat Yuxian. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful Yuxian into this world.”

Wei Yuxian couldn’t bear to look at her parents’ tombstone anymore and turned her head away, gazing at the distant trees.

This was a remote place, and it wasn’t the season for tomb sweeping, so besides their group, there was no one else around, making it even more desolate.
