Wei Yuxian was truly bored at home. Many of the books in Fu Xuanyi’s study were beyond her comprehension, and even the textbooks from her courses were only partially understood.
She began to miss the days of school.
She had two reasons for taking a leave of absence from school: one was because of Ding Nana and the other two, and the other was due to severe morning sickness, which made studying too draining.
Now, without Ding Nana and the others, and with her morning sickness behind her, life seemed to be going smoothly. However, staying at home all day had become boring.
So she thought, maybe Mrs. Fu could help her find a tutor, allowing her to study at home and not waste this precious time.
With this idea in mind, Wei Yuxian mentioned it to the old lady that very day.
“Mrs. Fu, could you help me find a tutor? I’m so bored at home and want to find something to do.”
She had another idea, which was to study the first-year courses at home for now, and then see if she could keep up when she went to school.
If she could keep up, she could smoothly move on to the second year without having to repeat the first year.
It was April now, and there were more than five months before she would go to school. She couldn’t possibly spend every day of those five months being bored, could she?
The old lady was concerned about her health and asked, “Can your body handle it? You’re in your later stages of pregnancy now, and you need to be more careful.”
Wei Yuxian felt that she had no problem at all and that studying was completely fine.
“I know, Mrs. Fu. I’m well aware of my own body, and I can study,” she said. “I promise you, I won’t push myself too hard.”
The old lady thought about it and also felt that it wasn’t a good idea for her to be so bored at home every day. Perhaps studying would be good for her.
Moreover, Yuxian couldn’t just study textbook content; she also needed to learn things like etiquette and tea ceremony.
These things would benefit her and, by knowing more, could boost her confidence.
Finding a teacher for Yuxian was something she could do. Just as she was about to agree, she suddenly remembered something and changed her tone, saying, “Yes, but I don’t know any trustworthy teachers. You can ask Ah Xuan to help you find one.”
During these days, Mrs. Fu had come to realize that her son was incredibly fond of Yuxian, but Yuxian had never expressed her feelings.
She neither said she liked Ah Xuan nor disliked him. Her usual behavior was very restrained, making it hard to tell if she had any feelings for Ah Xuan.
Also, their intimate moments were mostly initiated by Ah Xuan. She knew her son could be domineering, but she didn’t know what Yuxian truly felt.
She very much wanted Yuxian to become a legitimate daughter-in-law of the Fu family, not just in name.
If it weren’t for the fact that Yuxian hadn’t officially turned twenty yet, she would have wanted them to get their marriage certificate first.
Hearing this, Wei Yuxian could only respond with a regretful “Okay,” not doubting the truthfulness of Mrs. Fu’s words at all.
Firstly, Mrs. Fu was the old madam of the Fu family, and her connections were beyond doubt. With a simple gesture, she could have countless people at her service.
Secondly, even if Mrs. Fu didn’t personally know anyone in this field, as long as she assigned the task to her subordinates, they would surely handle it perfectly.
She also wanted Yuxian and Xuanyi to communicate and interact more, hoping that they might develop feelings through communication.
Mrs. Fu was playing a good game of chess, with loud clacks, but unfortunately, the person being schemed against was oblivious, even with the pieces flying in their face.
That very night, Yuxian mentioned this matter to Fu Xuanyi.
After a moment, Fu Xuanyi replied to her, “I’ll arrange it.”
Seeing that he had agreed, Wei Yuxian was overjoyed and nodded her little head obediently, her eyes shining brightly!
She had thought that Fu Xuanyi would propose some outrageous condition before agreeing to her request, but unexpectedly, he agreed so readily without any conditions!
This was good too; she wouldn’t have to blush so much that she’d want to burrow into the blankets.
However, why did she feel a little bit of regret in her heart?
She stole a small glance at the man. That handsome face seemed to become more attractive the more she looked at it. Was it because he was getting older and the mature aura around him was more pronounced?
They say mature men are very charming, and now, Wei Yuxian felt the same way.
Just as Wei Yuxian thought that Fu Xuanyi was genuinely kind enough to agree without any demands, there was a twist.
Fu Xuanyi acted quickly and found someone very reliable for Wei Yuxian, who was no worse than her university teachers.
On the third day after she mentioned this to him, early in the morning, Wei Yuxian was woken up by the man beside her.
She looked at the fully dressed man with a hazy gaze, her brain not yet fully awake, and let out a confused “Huh?”
Her hair was tousled from sleep, with several strands sticking up adorably.
Fu Xuanyi smoothed down her unruly hair and helped her out of bed, saying, “Time to get up, there’s a surprise today.”
Wei Yuxian foolishly believed that there really was a surprise today!
She didn’t mind that Fu Xuanyi was now carrying her to wash up, her mind racing with thoughts about what the surprise could be.
Could it be that Fu Xuanyi had found her a good teacher?
Hehehe, at the thought of this possibility, Wei Yuxian couldn’t help but feel happy.
After washing up, she was led by Fu Xuanyi by the hand downstairs for breakfast, holding back her curiosity about the surprise.
After breakfast, she was again led by Fu Xuanyi and got into the car, following him to the company.
Wei Yuxian: “???”
Wasn’t he supposed to give her a surprise?
Could it be that the surprise wasn’t finding her a teacher?
Puzzled, Wei Yuxian finally asked, “What’s this surprise you mentioned?”
Fu Xuanyi didn’t keep her in suspense and said, “The teacher you wanted, I’ve found.”
Hearing this, Wei Yuxian let out a sigh of relief, thinking that it was good that the surprise was what she had expected.
She just didn’t know where they were going now. She had assumed that Fu Xuanyi would arrange for her to study at home.
Could it be that the teacher had a dedicated place for teaching?
Thinking this way, Wei Yuxian felt that this possibility was quite high.
However, she felt like something was missing.
She looked around the car and then at her hands, finding nothing…
In less than half a minute, she remembered what was missing!
She anxiously grabbed Fu Xuanyi’s hand and said, “Fu Xuanyi, I didn’t bring my books and pens, how can I attend class?”
Fu Xuanyi patted her small hand to reassure her and said, “They’re here, in the car.”
During breakfast, he had asked Aunt Fu to pack them and bring them to the car in advance.
Wei Yuxian searched the car for their books and pens, unable to find them until Fu Xuanyi presented them to her, and only then did she let out a sigh of relief.
