She whispered to Mrs. Fu , “Have they had their milk?”
Mrs. Fu replied, “They just drank some. After playing with them for a while, they fell asleep again.”
There was frozen breast milk in the refrigerator, which the children would drink when they wanted milk and Wei Yuxian was not available.
Wei Yuxian would put some in every day to make it easier for the nanny to take it out and warm it up for feeding.
She softly acknowledged with a “mm-hmm,” her gaze shifting to Zhizhi in Mrs. Fu ‘s arms. The little one had just eaten her fill, burped, played with her grandmother for a bit, and was now sleeping soundly.
She added, “I want to take them into the room to read.”
Mrs. Fu had no objections, only saying, “Don’t rush, Yuxian. Your body hasn’t fully recovered yet. There’s no need to rush into reading. Reading can be taxing.”
Wei Yuxian knew that Mrs. Fu was concerned about her, so she smiled at her and said, “It’s okay, Mrs. Fu. I know my limits. I won’t read for too long. I’m just bored at home. It’s better to read more and pass the time.”
Mrs. Fu couldn’t argue with her, so she said, “Then be careful. Rest if you’re tired. Don’t push yourself. We’re not in a hurry for this bit of time.”
Wei Yuxian felt warm inside and said, “Alright, I promise you.”
She took Shishi from Mr. Fu’s arms and, together with Mrs. Fu holding Zhizhi, they walked upstairs.
Shishi and Zhizhi were placed in their dedicated wooden cribs, sleeping quietly.
Mrs. Fu stayed in the room for a while longer, giving Wei Yuxian a few instructions before leaving.
In the room, Wei Yuxian took out her books and began reading at the table. She would read for a while, then check on the children in the crib, and time passed minute by minute.

In the blink of an eye, half a month had passed since Wei Yuxian gave birth. Feeling much better, she asked Fu Xuanyi to arrange for her tutors to continue her lessons.
Her plan was to pass the school’s assessment by the time school started in September and continue with her original pace, entering her sophomore year. This way, she wouldn’t waste an extra year.
With private one-on-one tutoring, Wei Yuxian’s academic progress was rapid. Adding to her natural intelligence, if she didn’t understand something the first time, she would get it after two or three explanations.
Therefore, she learned the entire year’s worth of knowledge from her freshman year in just three months.

All her hard work these days was in preparation for going to school.

Wei Yuxian waited eagerly for him to continue, looking at him with anticipation.
