In an instant, the security guard’s sense of responsibility surged, the most serious he’d been in his job for a long time!
Wei Yuxian’s mother was on the verge of getting furious! She wanted to call Wei Yuxian, but unfortunately, that good-for-nothing had blocked her. No matter how many times she tried to call, she couldn’t get through.
“I can’t reach her. She’s blocked my number. She’s the one who told me she studies here, and that’s why I came looking for her,” Wei Yuxian’s mother explained.
Hearing this, the security guard was almost ready to pull out his baton. He gestured for her to leave, saying, “Get out of here! Even your own daughter has blocked you. You’re probably not a good person. Even if this ‘Yuxian’ of yours really studies here, I won’t let you in!”
The security guard looked at Wei Yuxian’s mother’s face and felt that something was off. He believed she wasn’t a good person, and now, hearing that even her daughter had blocked her, he became even more suspicious!
But Wei Yuxian’s mother wasn’t willing to leave. She had traveled all this way, spending a whole day and night, not to mention the money. How could she just walk away?
If she didn’t see that good-for-nothing this time, she wouldn’t leave!
With these thoughts in mind, Wei Yuxian’s mother started arguing with the security guard again: “Who do you think you are to stop me? The person I’m looking for is right here in your school. Why shouldn’t I be allowed in? Get your leaders here. I’m going to complain about you!”
The security guard was also furious: “Who am I to stop you? If you were a good person, would I stop you? You don’t know anything and you’re here throwing a tantrum? Let me tell you, it’s useless! Today, you’re not stepping foot on this campus! Forget about it! Just looking at you, you don’t seem like a good person at all. I absolutely won’t let you in to harm the students!”
“What do you mean? What do you mean I don’t look like a good person? Who are you talking about? I think you’re just arrogant and incompetent! It serves you right to be just a security guard! Let me in right away! Don’t delay my business! If you delay my important matters, I won’t let you off!”
“I’m not letting you in today! If you have the guts, go find the leaders and see if they’ll let you in!”
The two continued to argue, neither giving in to the other.
Wei Yuxian’s mother was determined to get into the campus, while the security guard was equally determined to keep her out.
The commotion attracted quite a crowd, drawing nearby vendors to come and watch the spectacle. They stood silently, thoroughly entertained by the scene unfolding before them.
At that moment, Ding Nana, Chen Wei, and Feng Yiyi walked out from the campus. All three of them looked stunning, despite the cold winter weather, like three peacocks in full bloom.
They had planned to go for hotpot for lunch today, and with no classes in the afternoon, they could even go out to have some fun after eating.
As they approached the entrance, they noticed the commotion happening at the gate. It seemed like someone was having an argument.
With such excitement happening, they didn’t want to miss out. They exchanged a glance and decisively chose to join the crowd to see what was going on. As for hotpot, they could always have it later.
So the three of them squeezed through the crowd of onlookers and made their way to the front, where they saw Wei Yuxian’s mother and the security guard engaged in a heated argument.
The security guard was becoming increasingly impatient. Holding his baton and shield, he was trying to shoo her away. “Get out of here! Stop causing trouble at the school gate. This is not the place for your antics. Even if you cause a scene, I won’t let you in!”
“What do you mean I’m causing trouble? Where am I causing trouble? I’ve already said I’m here to find my daughter! My daughter’s name is Wei Yuxian. Why won’t you believe me? Can’t we discuss this like civilized people? Look at this security guard, he won’t even let me see my daughter! Is there any justice in this?”
Unable to handle the security guard alone, Wei Yuxian’s mother hoped to enlist the support of the crowd to persuade him to let her in.
Ding Nana and the other two were momentarily stunned by Wei Yuxian’s mother’s words, but quickly caught on and exchanged knowing smiles.
Interesting, Wei Yuxian’s mother actually came to the school. What could she be here for?
Ding Nana, curious, approached and asked, “Auntie, are you Wei Yuxian’s mother?”
Wei Yuxian’s mother, delighted to have someone engage with her, especially a student, nodded vigorously. “Yes, yes, I am Wei Yuxian’s mother. Are you her classmate? Please, tell this stubborn security guard that Wei Yuxian does exist in your school!”
Ignoring the security guard, Ding Nana continued, “Auntie, what brings you here to find Wei Yuxian? I am indeed her classmate, and also her roommate!”
Wei Yuxian’s mother’s smile grew even wider, feeling like she had hit the jackpot!
“Are you really Wei Yuxian’s classmate? That’s fantastic! Could you please take me to see her? I have urgent matters to discuss,” Wei Yuxian’s mother implored, her tone anxious.
Observing Wei Yuxian’s mother’s acerbic demeanor and sallow face, Ding Nana couldn’t muster much sympathy. This woman was supposed to be Wei Yuxian’s mother? She seemed nothing like her daughter.
However, it wasn’t the time to dwell on such thoughts. Ding Nana had more pressing matters to attend to. She was curious about why Wei Yuxian’s mother had come to find her. Perhaps there would be some unexpected surprises!
The incident from the previous post hadn’t satisfied Ding Nana. She felt Wei Yuxian’s punishment had been too lenient. Now that Wei Yuxian wasn’t at school, Ding Nana wasn’t sure how to make her feel even more uncomfortable.
Ding Nana harbored an intense hatred for Wei Yuxian, from the moment she laid eyes on her until now. She detested her more and more with each passing day.
This despicable person knew nothing but seducing men!
If it weren’t for her, Cheng Jingyao would have been her boyfriend by now!
Wei Yuxian, as long as you’re unhappy, I’m extremely pleased!
Suppressing her impatience, Ding Nana inquired, “Auntie, could you tell me why you’ve come to find Wei Yuxian? If it’s urgent, I can contact her right away.”
Glancing around at the people nearby, Wei Yuxian’s mother felt it wasn’t appropriate to discuss the matter loudly. She leaned in closer to Ding Nana’s ear and whispered, “I’ve come to ask her for money. Could you please help me get in touch with her, dear classmate?”
As she leaned closer, Ding Nana caught a whiff of that sour stench, reminiscent of someone who had been soaking in a dung pit for far too long! It was even more repugnant than the smell emanating from Wei Yuxian!
She almost couldn’t help but gag!
Like mother, like daughter. Indeed, they both emitted the same foul odor, equally loathsome!
However, the information conveyed by this woman’s words was quite significant! She had actually come to ask Wei Yuxian for money!
Was Wei Yuxian’s family really that poor? To the extent that even her mother had to come to the school to ask for money!
It’s worth noting that Wei Yuxian is as destitute at school as it gets, barely able to afford meals, and there’s never been any mention of her family giving her money.
At one point, Ding Nana even thought Wei Yuxian was an orphan, with neither father nor mother, to be that impoverished.
But now it seems Wei Yuxian isn’t fatherless or motherless at all—she just has heartless parents!
Otherwise, why would her mother come all the way here to ask her for money? If Wei Yuxian can’t even afford to eat, how could she have money to give her mother?
