Chapter 18.2
Jin Lie didn’t expect that by omitting this sentence, she seriously misunderstood him.
“Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten that the contract will expire in a few months. And if I want to stir up a scandal, finding a popular idol with high traffic is more useful than you.”
Jin Lie’s calm thoughts were suddenly pricked. He lifted his eyelids and retorted coldly, “It’s a pity that no one wants to stir up with you.”
“Yeah, who can compare with you who got married and still being coveted, causing me trouble all day long! I wish you and your little childhood sweetheart will never have a full meal in your life!”
After saying that, she slammed the door shut with a bang.
The loud noise echoed in the corridor, and a cool breeze blew Jin Lie’s trouser legs.
“……”
He touched his nose, was silent for a few seconds, and walked to Su Qian’s door. Just as he was about to knock, a voice came from inside.
“Blueberry, listen well, if you want to live, you must stay away from that stinky man named Jin Lie, who knows when he will go crazy and poison you with his mouth!”
“What the hell are you meowing, smoke my words into your lungs! Recite the whole text!”
The sound gradually subsided. Jin Lie propped his hand on the door, and laughed softly.
Forget it, find another opportunity to explain clearly another day.
But Jin Lie didn’t expect that he hadn’t found a chance to get along with Su Qian for several days in a row.
Even though they lived in the same house, they just missed the opportunity to meet each other. Every time he got up, Su Qian had already gone out, and when he came home, Su Qian was already asleep.
So three days passed, and it was another morning of eating alone at the dining table, Jin Lie finally couldn’t help but seek external help.
“Has the lady had breakfast?”
“She has, sir.”
Jin Lie nodded, and coughed lightly in a pretentious manner, “What has she been busy with these days?”
“She’s busy with work. It seems like she’s preparing to participate in a program.” Mrs. Wang said cautiously as she looked at Jin Lie, “Sir, I have a question I don’t know if I should ask.”
“What is it?”
“Did you… have a fight with the lady?”
Jin Lie’s hand holding the cutlery paused slightly, he lifted his head as if nothing had happened, “What do you want to say?”
Mrs. Wang hesitated a bit. Speaking felt like betraying the lady, but not speaking… the lady has obviously been unhappy these days. Even her smile was forced.
“It’s just that the lady would call me before she comes home these days.”
Jin Lie’s eyes moved, waiting for her to continue.
“Every time she first asks if you are back, if I say no, she will be home within ten minutes. Not only that, but every morning she only comes down to eat breakfast after hearing you leave.”
Jin Lie: “Do you mean she’s hiding upstairs now?”
“No, no, today is an exception, the lady left very early.”
It seems that this anger won’t pass for a while.
Jin Lie pondered for a moment and said to Mrs. Wang , “You still do as usual today.”
“Huh?” This is a lonely statement!
Jin Lie smiled, and got up slowly, “I’m going to work.”
—
In these few days, Su Qian was so busy that she finally had the feeling of crossing over.
Around six o’clock, she got off the car at a milk tea shop near her home and made a call to Mrs. Wang on the side of the road.
“Is that person back yet?”
Mrs. Wang seemed a bit distracted, and stuttered, “Not… not yet. But the sir just called and said he would be home before seven-thirty.”
Su Qian glanced at the time, there were only twenty minutes left.
“I see, I’ll go back right away.”
She originally thought she had plenty of time and wanted to have a cup of milk tea.
Su Qian hurried home. She didn’t want to see Jin Lie at all, yes, she was that petty, and her anger hadn’t subsided.
So out of sight, out of mind, to avoid adding to her own troubles.
Ten minutes later, Su Qian returned home. As she opened the door and was about to tell Mrs. Wang to send the meal upstairs, she saw a tall and thin figure at the door.
Two people, and four eyes met.
Su Qian’s heart skipped a beat, and for some reason, she turned to run.
“Wait…” Jin Lie subconsciously grabbed her wrist.
His fingers were long and strong, and Su Qian couldn’t struggle free. Such a touch was like a switch, directly igniting the anger she had been holding back for several days.
What, aren’t you afraid of being photographed now? Your courage is quite elastic, isn’t it!
Su Qian was annoyed, she lifted her leg to give him a kick that would break his lineage. However, it seemed that Jin Lie had anticipated it, he caught her ankle and picked her up with a raised lips.
Su Qian’s heart jumped, and she struggled a few times with a tense face, “Let go of me!”
Jin Lie’s thin lips raised lightly, he stretched out his long legs to kick the door.
He held her steadily and walked in.
“I, definitely, won’t!”
—
Su Qian was “kidnapped” to the dining table. Jin Lie put her on the chair, and he sat across from her with ease.
Seeing his calm and composed look made Su Qian angry. She knocked on the table to attract his attention and said: “Hey, are you sick?”
Jin Lie: “You have the energy to yell at me, you might as well eat more, aren’t you hungry?”
“Which eye of yours saw that I was hungry?!”
“That’s it.” Jin Lie nodded, instructed Mrs. Wang to start the meal. Then he noticed that Su Qian wanted to leave, and said, “Are you so afraid of me? You’ve been hiding for three days and still want to hide?”
His tone was neither salty nor indifferent, but there was a needle hidden in the cotton. Even if she retaliated, she wouldn’t hear a sound, and she might even get hurt.
“Am I afraid of you? What kind of joke are you telling?” Even though she knew he was deliberately provoking her, Su Qian couldn’t control her mouth, “You think too highly of yourself.”
“If you’re not afraid, then eat well.”
His attitude seemed to be dealing with a willful child. He indulged her tantrums, but didn’t take it to heart.
It was as if she was making unreasonable trouble.
Su Qian stiffened her neck, “I’m not hungry!”
“Then wait until you’re hungry to eat.”
As he was saying this, Mrs. Wang pushed over a tray that was half a meter long with a trolley.
“This is a seafood feast that the sir specifically asked me to prepare, Lady, please eat more.”
The tray was filled with two huge Boston lobsters. The surroundings were full of shrimp and crayfish, and of course, Su Qian’s most favorite crayfish.
The aroma was overflowing, and all kinds of seafood were tempting. Su Qian unconsciously swallowed, her stomach had already started to eagerly absorb these delicacies.
“The lady said she’s not hungry.”
An annoying voice rang out, knocking out Su Qian’s appetite. She was about to retort when she saw Jin Lie pick up a large lobster and crack its head with a snap. Then he began to peel the lobster shell leisurely.
His fingers were long and even, each joint clear, and his fair skin was like high-quality mutton-fat jade, especially pleasing to the eye when doing this kind of thing.
Su Qian’s attention gradually shifted from the lobster to his fingers. When he exerted a little force, the veins on the back of his hand protruded, full of tension.
The whole lobster meat was exposed, Jin Lie held it and suddenly stood up, his arm crossed the table towards the plate in front of Su Qian.
Her heart skipped a beat, saliva had already started to secrete. But Jin Lie suddenly hit the brakes at the critical moment, dipped the lobster in his hand into the soup on the tray.
“There’s more soup on your side.”
Su Qian: “…………”
Choke you to death.
She gritted her teeth and turned her face away angrily.
Jin Lie tasted the food while admiring her angry profile, and a faint smile appeared at the corners of his eyes and eyebrows.
