Chapter 31.2
The sound of a camera shutter echoed from behind the row of green plants. Jin Lie’s gloomy gaze fell on Feng Xianxian, his eyes so cold they were almost icy.
For the first time, Feng Xianxian saw such a terrifying gaze, and her heart jumped fiercely, “It wasn’t me…”
But Jin Lie didn’t pay any attention to what she was saying, he strode around to the back of the green plants, and unexpectedly saw Su Qian.
“Hi.” She was holding a medicine box, waving her phone at him.
Jin Lie’s expression softened instantly, “Finished work?”
“Yes. Did you enjoy your chat?”
“No.” The two of them walked side by side towards the elevator, Jin Lie asked, “I think I was secretly photographed, did you see any paparazzi just now?”
“If you really were photographed, would you be willing to buy it?”
“No.” He would just have someone take it down when the time comes.
Su Qian regretfully said, “Forget it, then I might as well sell it directly to the magazine.”
Jin Lie was slightly taken aback, and smiled, “You took it?”
“Yes. I secretly photographed evidence of you being unclear with another woman behind my back.” She shook her phone.
Jin Lie suddenly chuckled, “Wait a moment.”
He took out his phone and fiddled with it for a while. Before long, Su Qian received a transfer message.
She looked at the transfer amount and widened her eyes, “What are you doing?”
“Buying the photo.” The elevator door opened, he pulled Su Qian in, and leaned in her ear, “I’m not willing to give it to the paparazzi, but I’m willing to give it to you.”
This man, his mouth seems to be getting sweeter and sweeter.
Before the elevator door closed, a miserable scream from Feng Xianxian suddenly came from the lobby. Su Qian was startled and pulled Jin Lie out in a gossipy manner.
A robust woman was fiercely pulling Feng Xianxian’s hair and cursing while beating her. Amid her howling and wailing, one could vaguely hear curses like “stinky □□” and “dead mistress.”
Jin Lie covered her eyes, “Alright, don’t look anymore, it’s dirtying your eyes.”
Su Qian pulled down his hand, and noticed his calm face, then a thought suddenly popped into her mind, “That woman, you didn’t hire her, did you?”
“She brought it upon herself by destroying other people’s families.”
Destroying other people’s families?
…Could the protagonist that Zhang Pingting mentioned before, the scumbag man who abandoned his wife and child for love, be Feng Xianxian?!
Well, she really deserves it!
Hit her harder!
.
Back in the room, Su Qian found that there were a lot of fresh ingredients. She looked through each bag, and her eyes shining, “Did you have someone buy these?”
“It’s more hygienic to do it yourself.”
Su Qian looked up, and asked with eyes wide, “Why didn’t you get any crayfish?”
She hadn’t eaten for a long time and was very hungry.
At the open kitchen, Jin Lie leaned against the cooking table, teasing her coldly, “You still don’t behave.”
Su Qian pouted, she wanted to take back what she had just said. This man was still so fierce.
It was inconvenient to go out on the set, and they didn’t go anywhere when they were down. Jin Lie was working on his computer, and Su Qian went back to the bedroom to catch up on sleep.
When she woke up, it was already dark, and under the dim light of the kitchen, Jin Lie was concentrating on preparing the ingredients.
Su Qian rubbed her eyes and walked over, “Let me help you.”
“Did you sleep well?”
She nodded.
Jin Lie gave her a handful of green beans, “Then you wash these.”
Washing vegetables is the most effortless and least technical job. Su Qian found a basin and turned on the faucet.
In the sound of the gushing water, a strange tune arose, “Pour into the oil pot~ Pour the green beans into the pot~”
She turned off the faucet and used her hand as a spatula, “Then stir and stir~”
Her accent was spot on, and Jin Lie already had a picture in his mind. He bowed his head to cut the vegetables, with his shoulders shaking uncontrollably.
What a treasure.
After drying the water, Su Qian’s phone rang. She dried her hands and picked it up, her assistant told her that the lights had been bought and not to forget the live broadcast at eight o’clock.
After hanging up the phone, Su Qian went back to the kitchen and said to Jin Lie, “I’m going to do a live broadcast tonight, you should go back to your room earlier.”
That was really heartless of her to say.
“Will I affect your live broadcast?”
“Yes, you will definitely have an impact on me if you are here.”
It’s not about affecting her work, but about having an impact on her. Jin Lie accepted this statement instantly.
Not only did he accept it, but bubbles of joy also popped up in his heart.
When Zhong Ning received a call from the big boss, he thought he was coming back out of conscience. But the next second he recognized the truth.
“Go register an account for me on a live platform. Then recharge some money.”
Zhong Ning let go of the keyboard that he had been banging on until it was about to spark, and asked bitterly, “What are you doing this for?”
“Su Qian is doing a live broadcast tonight, I want to send her gifts.”
“……Understood.”
After hanging up the phone, Zhong Ning looked desperate. Was he going to change the remark “Boss Jin” to “Su Qian’s No.1 Fan”?!
Such a dignified CEO, really heartless, unrighteous, and unreasonable!
——
In the end, Su Qian couldn’t drive Jin Lie away. His reason was quite sufficient, he had never seen a live broadcast scene, so he wanted to stay as the only audience.
Su Qian disagreed because she would feel uncomfortable. Jin Lie pretended to be in pain and moved his finger, which he had accidentally cut while cooking just now. It was now wrapped in a layer of white gauze.
His method of winning sympathy worked, and Su Qian reluctantly let him stay, and warned: “If you don’t want to trend with me, it’s best not to make a sound.”
“Okay.”
He agreed very happily, but Su Qian was still not at ease, reminding him: “You can’t get within two meters of me, if you get into the camera, we’re both done!”
So during the live broadcast, Su Qian sat next to the desk, chatting with fans on her phone, while Jin Lie sat on the sofa opposite her, watching her and the live broadcast on his phone.
Because it was Su Qian’s first live broadcast, the fans were very enthusiastic. And her personality is very talkative, so even just chatting like this doesn’t seem awkward. She even occasionally made a few jokes, causing a wave of laughter in the comments.
Jin Lie was listening to her thanking for a Lamborghini and then a rocket, but his face was getting worse and worse.
The first gift was not from him, and the second and third ones didn’t make it either. His live broadcast account could never log in, what on earth was Zhong Ning doing?!
Jin Lie got up to call Zhong Ning, but accidentally kicked the mobile cart next to Su Qian, and the mineral water on it wobbled and fell on her leg.
She instinctively looked up, but just as she was about to speak, she realized she was still on live broadcast.
She could only give Jin Lie a “what are you doing” look.
Jin Lie shrugged, indicating that he didn’t do it on purpose.
When Su Qian looked at the screen again, all the bullet comments were brushing “Who is it, who is it rwkk![1]“rwkk” is a Chinese internet slang that stands for “人外有人,天外有天” (Rén wài yǒu rén, tiān wài yǒu tiān). “Are you hiding a concubine behind our backs?!”
“No way, no way? Do I have a rival in love?!”
Even though they were joking, every sentence hit the truth. Su Qian couldn’t help but feel a little guilty, and casually joked with them, “It’s a little dog raised by my assistant, very naughty.”
As she said that, she made a face at Jin Lie, “Come on, bark twice.”
Jin Lie’s eyelids twitched, and he typed a line on his phone without expression: Are you not afraid if I really act like a dog?
The short sentence was full of threats and deterrence. Su Qian immediately backed down.
This guy is not a good person, but he really shines as a dog. She stopped teasing him and smiled at him in a harmless way.
Jin Lie was pleased by her submissive appearance, he curled the corner of his lips and turned to go to the balcony.
The bullet comments were charmed by Su Qian’s “teasing” tone and expression, and they were brushing the screen like crazy:
“So it’s a little dog? I want to see too!”
“What breed does the assistant raise? It’s so strong!”
“I also like dogs! I’m locked with Qianqian!”
The bullet comments were full of joy, and Su Qian was holding back her laughter until her stomach hurt. She cleared her throat, “The dog has been taken away. It’s a large adult dog, it looks very good, but it has a bad temper.”
When Jin Lie came back, he heard Su Qian talking nonsense. Her eyes were curved like crescents, and the small dimples at the corners of her mouth were faintly visible.
…Being a dog is not bad, it seems.
